the dimly lit room, a lit cigar in his mouth. He smirked, slightly, as he knew
that his actions, would bring concequences. Deaths.

"Yes sir"
"Status Report?"
"Fusion Warhead Ready, coordanated set for the Republic of
Globius!"

"Fire"

Fireworks. Giant streams of bright white, emminanating
from above. Beautiful. Floating gently down, with such grace, such
beauty.

He was helpless to stop it, he knew. Military Service for 60 years, and
Political for ten, but it meant nothing. Yes, he had read the reports,
the recommendations, the warnings, read them and done nothing.

I suppose, one can never expect to be attacked, with such fury, and
beauty at once.

The grace ended suddenly, as the four warheads collided with the gentle,
green earth, forming a giant wave of destruction towards the cities.

It was over.

Who would come to the Republic's aide? Anyone? No-one?
