Armour

Bledel Anti-Tank Vehicle
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/bofors/images/bof8.jpg

The Bledel Anti-Tank Vehicle is designed for field combat in every type of environment. It is equipped with an FK-19 Missile System, designed by the Germanian Reichswehr.

The system is designed strictly for the purpose of destroying enemy armour, but can be used to combat large groups of infantry.

The system is unique in that when the missile is fired at an enemy target, the FK-19 does not strike the vehicle head-on. Instead, a laser guidance system built inside the missile detects the position of an enemy object, and upon reaching the front of it, the propulsion system lifts the missile upwards and brings it down on top of the target.

Inside of the missile are two warheads, one which detonates upon contact and another which detonates post-contact. It is designed to pierce the armour of an enemy vehicle, then explode inside and, optimally, detonate the ammunition supply.

When used properly, it can successfully defeat all types of armour on the battlefield.

The Bledel Anti-Tank Vehicle is equipped with the STDU Armour Compound, a Titanium-Steel-DU compound designed to either A) deflect fire, or B) absorb the shock and prevent it from destroying the vehicle by spreading the force of the hit across the skin. Specifics of the compound are not being released for security reasons.

Armament: One Bledel Anti-Tank Missile Launcher, two Puma 12mm x 7mm Machine Guns

Effective Range: 150m - 2,200m

Weight: 32 Tons

Max Speed: 48 MPH; 12,500 Horsepower Hydrogen-Oxygen Fuel Cell Engine with active coolant

Firing Rate [FK-19 System]: Loaded either manually or by an onboard automatic system, the Bledel can fire a total of 6 missiles per minute.

Targetting: A GPS-Guidance system, which displays enemy units on a projection screen inside the vehicle is the standard target display system. A thermal imagery system coupled with the GPS-Guidance System further gives this vehicle better accuracy.

If desired by the gunner, targets can be acquired manually, projected on the same screen inside the vehicle. All targets are detected via a camera on the outer shell of the Bledel. Two replacement cameras come equipped.

Crew: 4 [Driver, FK-19 Gunner, two machine gun operators.]

Price: $90 Million
