I have started this new thread, to return the other ( New Land Available 3000 A.D.! )
to the forever Patient, the forever Gentleman, the forever Kind, Leader of Lumens.
Thank you my friend, I will forever remember, your generosity.

Aleric, King of Xeraph, I await your formal apology for the unfounded attack of my character and purpose. I tenaciously believe that you possess some sense of moral as well as ethical conscience.

We shall wait and see if he 'deems' this post worthy of his attention.

Xeraph replies:

1...Alaric is the Emperor of Xeraph, not the King.

2...You spelled His Majesty's name incorrectly.

3...The Emperor wishes Lady Miriam to know that he can be whatever she wishes.....barbarian OR gentleman.

The Emperor is considering Lady Miriam's statement concerning an apology. The Emperor has never in the history of Xeraph apologised for something that wasn't a true statement. Realising, however, that Truth is a relative commodity, and that Perception is not always Reality, who knows......perhaps the Emperor can turn over a new leaf?

respectfully,

Vlad, Prince of the Empire, Regent of The Grey Phoenix, in the Name of the Emperor.

Dear Vlad,

Alas, this becomes tedious, and I am a bit weary from all this nonsense.

Let me address a few things:

1. Emperor or King - he does not behave rationally and if reality and perception are confusing to him, have him address me himself, and I will remind him of the communication between he had with Lumens. I am doing him a great and generous service of not showing this communication in a public forum. One more thing here - It is not merely the title that makes the man...

2. Please offer him - Alaric - Emperor, King, which ever title he chooses to be addressed by, my humble apologies for spelling his name incorrectly. It is just a result of the weariness I am feeling, due to His Majesties word games.

3. I don't wish him to be anything - but forthright - honest - sincere - and something not resembling an ogre. I am wishing only for an apology of his unfounded attacks on my character and attempting to discredit me and my country.

If I do not receive a direct apology, you will leave me no choice but to declare war against your country - and if I die in the efforts of protecting the reputation of my Country, then so be it. Though I am small and your pompous leader will most likely fall over and choke on his food, entertained by thinking that I am no threat - mark my words - I may not overcome your empire - but with the aid of my existing allies and those who will respond to our call, (simply because they do not want to see tyranny rule this world,) we will detain your troops and hold them prisoner - long enough to leave your empire vulnerable to attack from places never expected.

Oh - and by the way Vlad, you know the 'those that live in glass houses' thing? You spelled 'realizing' incorrectly.

Most Sincerely,
Green Sun

Who cares if he mispelled realizing incorrectly? As long as you can understand what he's sayin, it really doesn't matter.

Secret correspondence to Lady Miriam of the Righteous Pelagians, Greetings;

If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion, rather than threatening to declare war upon him, which would than place you as the aggressor and him as the aggrieved, merely offer to disclose the exact substance of his slanderous remarks if he does not apologize. By following this course of action you are able to remain the aggrieved and show everyone exactly what the problem is, this way you are more likely to gain support rather than censure.

If you declare war, than you are giving him full right to invade, and as the aggressor you may not receive the same level of aid you that would get as the aggrieved. In our line of work, everything is politics.

These are just some things to keep in mind.

Cordially Yours,

D Gordon
President for Life of
Constitutional Monarchy of Gordenia

OOC:
Actually, he didn't. It is spelt "realising" in several countries. It is a typical American form that replaces several letters with a "z" in the place of an "s". It is much like the spelling differences between the US and Europe... For example:
Centre...Center
Colour...Color
Realising...Realizing
Minimise...Minimize
Defence...Defense
Archaeology...Archeology
Gray...Grey
Speciality...Specialty
Behaviour...Behavior

It all just depends on how and where you were brought up. ;)

Thank you so much for pointing out that correcting someone is such a waste of time - I was just responding to the 'corrections' made by Vlad.

Oh - and thanks so much for 'correcting' me.

OOC: I realize that words are spelled differently, depending on where you are from. (By the way, I believe that he is from America).

I especially love the differences in how words are pronounced. The British will say 'Gehr-edge, Americans say gah - rahge (garage). Even within the US, there's an interesting difference. Southern accents, New York/New Jersey accents - to the Midwest and West coast. It used to be that you hear a southern accent and think that the person was uneducated and not very smart - well thats definitely not the case. Then there's the New Jersey accent (?) - and they too don't sound very bright, which is another misconception - in most cases. It seems they neglect to pronounce the last few letters in a word - like: 'get outa hea', 'bread n butha'. Then there's the New Yorkers' - some who don't pronounce the 'r's in a word. As in 'I'm going to cawht' instead of going to court. There's the midwestern accent - and stretching out the vowels. Like 'Chi caah go' . Cultural differences are fascinating. Where are you from?

BTW - Correcting Vlad was not really the point I was making.

Very Sincerely,
Xeraph

The Emperor, Alaric Tan'it, responds from the Throne Room of Xeraph:

My Lady,
With all of the respect I can muster, I will do one thing.....I will both congratulate and commend you on the size of your cojones. It usually only takes a large mouth to commence hostilities between nations. In this case, it is another part of the anatomy that is involved.
Again, with all due respect, I would highly suggest that you refrain from threatening Xeraph with war. Any self-respecting ruler would not engage such an obviously intelligent, charming, loquacious, petulant and engaging Lady, and her small nation, in a war that would be so obviously one-sided, "allies" notwithstanding.
I rarely respond personally to accusations, but this time it was merited. I will not do so again.

with utmost regards and respect,

Alaric Tan'it, Emperor of Xeraph
