British Empire Calls for Conference

Mavil Whetherly as usual took to the podium in Buckingham Palaces lavish press room. “Ladies and Gentleman, I have a press release from His Majesty King George.”

“In light with the disintegrating tensions between the British Empire, Credonia and the IADF, I have now have no option but to make one last attempt for peace. I call upon the leaders of every nation to attend a conference in London, in a last attempt to settle our differences and to establish, if at least, appropriate terms and treaties so that we may all occupy this world, without the eternal threat of warfare.

Let no one say, that it was the Empire that forced a war. Let not History judge us by our arrogance, but by our humility, I call everyone to the peace table, so that we may settle our differences in person and not by armies of war.”

“That is all Gentleman, the Palace will release a press briefing shortly.” Mavil stepped away from the Podium and left through the side door.

President Martin is extremely worried about the tensions caused between your nation and Credonia, and as such has dispatched Vice-President Young to come to the Conference to try and help foster peaceful relations and avoid armed conflict.

Credonia was completely unaware that relations were deteriorating between us, the IADF and the British Empire, however, out of goodwill, we will attend these talks, however, we request that they be held in a neutral nation due to our safety concerns.

Official Statement of the NIRC

We will take no part in your maskirovka. Let it be stated that Novikov, Czechzenia, and the NIRC Leadership all oppose this confrence as nothing but a political ruse used to make your imperialist ambitions seem blameless. We have no hand in it. All senior members of Novikovian and Czechzen Government are barred from participating in this confrence.

We will, however, send a minor representitive to the confrence as an independent party, for the expressed purpose of safeguarding Novikovian and Czechzen interests, as well as those of other IADF nations, however this representitive will hold no authority to cast a vote on behalf of Novikov or Czechzenia.

Current choices for this representitve are limited to the esteemed Yevgeni Stepanovich, third senior member of Novikov's Communist party and regional electee for the position of Duma's Local Minister of Trade. He has been briefed on the situation and will be present at whatever appointed hour you choose for this meeting to occur. However, we inform you once more that he does not act on behalf of the Novikovian or Czechzen governments.
