Ship count:
2 Capital ships
13 Crusiers
12 Destroyers
20 Frigates
15 Battleships
In the deep reaches of space...
The Shengelli ships now cruising through Slipspace where in search of something... something Powerful...something Holy- Halo.

"Do you see anything yet" inquired a Major Shengelli

" Nothing yet sir" replied one of the Jackels manning the sensors station

" Damn, Keep looking(Jackel-" roger"), (walkes over to window, and gazes out) Where the fuck are you?" asked The major to himself

"(computer beeps) " SIR , We got something" Said the Jackel

" Take us to it." ordered The Major Shengelli

The Shengelli Fleet shifted course and began to warp to the Object....

Continued....

The ships came out of slipspace And halo came into view, and the ships began to get closer

" Navigation, Whats our location?" Asked The Major

" We are currently.... Lost." said the Navigation controller

" How the Hell do we get lost in our own space?" Screamed The Major

" I dont know Sir" replied the Navi controller

Meanwhile on the Halo:

The Monitor of installation 14 floated through the flood containment facility on this ring. The massive building was an underground structure that spanned the entire underground of the ring and surfaced at key points along the outside of the ring.

"Good, good" he chuckled to himself as he checked the locks on each of the see-through containment chambers. An infection form attempted a leap at him and would have succeded if there hadn't been a 10ft. thick wall of a uranium and glass alloy.

The Monitor laughed again. "Interesting, the longer the containment period the more active the specimens become," he remarked to noone in particular.

"Ah, if only I had test subjects to experiment with," he thought to himself.
The Monitor continued his rounds in the underground chamber.

Meanwhile;

On the outer surface of the ring a sentinal monitoring system picked up an incoming ship. As the ship came out of slipspace the computer was able to monitor the course, and location of the ship. At the same time this information was being sent to a supercomputer at the rings control center. Slowly as the computer awakened it realized what was happening and the AI stored inside it came to life.

"Ah, yes it has been awhile," echoed in the center room and controls fired to life.

The Shengelli ships moved to to position to start luanching landing pods, The Battleships began to target the underground entry points, and opened fire cutting huge holes so that the Shengelii anti-flood patrols could set up a perimeter.

" Are you ready to luanch yet." asked the Major

" ready and waiting sir, shall I luanch them now?" asked the luanch coordianator

The Major Looked at the ring and flashbacks of his battling the Flood and the Demon, The Flashback showed The Arbitor and him fighting by them selves against the flood after the Pillar of autam(sp) had destroyed most of the ring. the Flashback ended.

" Send them." said the Major

After the order was given the 20 Frigates launched off what looked to be over 5000 drop pods each. now it was only just a matter of time before the Flood would resurface...

The Monitor of installation 14 heard a ringing in his left sound enhancer. He turned to the left just in time to see a huge superheated plasma bolt scorch through the ceiling and hit a containment chamber, the one he had been checking moments before. A large number of infection forms jumped free through the smoldering block of glass and uranium.

"Oh my," remarked the Monitor. "Someone has breached containment protocol 0528! I must find and reprimand them at once!"

As more fire rained down the Monitor floated up through the exit as infection forms raced along the walls beside him.

Meanwhile;

As the supercomputer came to life, the AI inside streched its mental capacity by calculating all of the possible tactical situations the Covenant armada was in. By tracing left over slipspace strands he was able to locate the origin of the jump, Earth.

"Thats strange," thought the AI. "I thought the Covenant were besieging earth recently, I wonder what made them jump out to here?"

As signals flared up when the cruisers opened fire on the flood containment chambers the AI's temper grew.

"What are they doing? Shooting the chambers will only release the flood on this installation! Ah foolish Covenant."

As the vid feed from the transmitter on the surface kept coming in the AI noticed the launch pods.

"Hmmm... Interesting." he remarked outloud. "That must be 2/3 of thier military at least I wonder what they want with this installation so badly?"

The AI sent instructions to the sentinal control program to active 1/2 of the dormant fleet and 2,000 dormant sentinals deep inside the ring flared to life from their ages long slumber, some not even used since being built.

"Now we shall see what they are up to" said the AI as he sent instructions for a small probe to monitor the inside of the covenant fleet.

OOC: Oh yah and also make sure you state your intentions and your characters reasoning, it helps make the RP run smoother. By the way, why did you shoot at the openings to the Flood Containment Chamber? They were safely locked up in cells untill you started shooting. Oh well whatever

OOC: Installation 14 eh, what's the Monitor's name? 6.782x10^11 Sorrowful Dodge. :p Also why would the Covies fire on what they consider a holy object? Also can I join?

OOC: Sure join if you want, I don't know why he fired on his holy object because the exit/entrance areas didn't have guns or anything they just let you get to the Flood Containment Center. I also don't know where the humans came from become he mentioned the "Demon".

A large white rock floated along its course. It was pockmarked with years and years of abuse via asteriods and meteors. It orbitted a smallish blue and green planet currently involved in a world-wide fight for survival. On the surface of this planet a small squad of humans was locked in a battle with alien invaders.

Sergant Johnson was holed up in the remains of a Starbucks with the remainder of his squad. Most of it was blackened from artillery fire (human and alien alike) and there was no roof. Along one wall was a row of busted out windows and Johnson and his men were huddled under the one foot of remaining distance untill the ground. Green and blue plasma beams added to the destruction of the cafe as they sped overhead and added small spots to the wall across from the marines before the heat slowly disappated. Johnson looked to his left. The newest member of the squad, Jeff, was sitting there and looking rather distant. Johnson tapped him and Jeff snapped out of it. Johnson let off a brief smile and gave him a thumbs up at the same time the damned covies stopped firing. Grabbing his M7 standard issue SMG the sarge gave the signal to return fire to his men, moved to a squat facing the covenant, and let of a few quick bursts of about five rounds.

In the courtyard across from the marines a grunt dropped to the ground with 6 bullet holes through his ventalator, desperately trying to breath oxygen that his lungs weren't meant for. The four other ones immediately dropped their weapons and began running for cover. An elite in a building farther away however dropped a sniper beam two feet from the sarge's head and he ducked for cover. The men fired off a few more quick rounds and hit the dirt as more covenant forces reinforced the courtyard from the east. The soldiers now knew that any chance of escape would be immpossible as the only way back to base lead straight through the courtyard and across a bridge. Apparently the covies were aware of this and were making damn sure they got their fresh meat.

But Johnson had a plan. The covenant army was huge and Johnson knew that the nearby base couldn't spare any men on an attack to save them as they would be slaughtered quickly. The covenant army was at least as large as the U.N. Frontline Defense Force and they were better armed but the Earthlings had one advantage. After the Covenant ships departed Earth they now controlled the space front. Johnson looked over at Jeff, who was now two people down to his right. He motioned for him to come over and Jeff crawled slowly but surely to Johnson's position.

"Set up your transmitter," Johnson said. "I have an idea"

Johnson didn't know why a space ship would waste energy on powering a particle beam through the atmosphere as it would take days to rebuild the energy for another. But then again noone had tried yet and there was no use for the spaceships now except to float and watch. As soon as Jeff set up his mini-transmitter, a standard issue long range T-31 radio, Johnson grabbed the mike and tried to remember the spaceship military frequency. He messed around with the dials a bit before hearing what sounded like space tech jargon and he sent out a cry.

"This is Seargent Johnson of the fourth U.N. Frontline Defense Battalion. Were getting hit on all sides from some covie bad-asses, do you guys have the firepower to get us out of this mess?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Squad Leader Soqkar had just been reinforced from the east by a small groups of jackels but the two elites that were commanding the squad ran across the strange human courtyard and around their wierd fountain towards the building Soqkar was sniping from. He had called for a pod landing to get enough troops to push across the bridge into the human stronghold. He had had no response from his sleak gold communicator and was becoming slightly perturbed when his compatriates walked in through the door behind him. Soqkar shook his gold armor and glanced at the new-comers. Two elites, one wearing blue and one wearing red armor stood in front of him. Both carried the standard issue plasma rifle and looked somewhat depressed. Soqkar took another pointless shot at the human position across the courtyard before addressing them.

"Ho, finally some real warriors at my disposal. Come tell me of the news of our ships as I have heard no word from them in some time. I assume you are the pods the ships launched for my use? Perhaps you can explain why such a small number of useful men has been launched?"

The blue elite kneeled as soon as Saqkar made the comment about 'warriors at disposal' and the red one continued to stand for the duration of the questioning, waiting until the great Soqkar stopped talking to answer.

"My lord," said the red one. "The ships have left orbit and we are cut off from reinforcement."

"WHAT!?" bellowed their commander. "Why was I not notified of this!?!" he said his temper cooling slightly.

"The command sent out a transmission a while ago" said the blue one still head to knee in his bow. "We assumed you got the message...." he trailed off.
The red one saved him by adding "and we decided to come reinforce you after your call for landing pods because we knew you would get no reinforcements."

The red and blue elites exchanged glances. They were spared from being chastisted again by a sudden burst of gunfire from both forces as the human soldiers holed up in their building popped up for another round and downed another two grunts.

"You" Soqkar pointed at the blue elite. "Frontline, now." As the blue elite scampered out, obviously relieved to leave, Soqkar shifted his gaze to the red one still standing at attention. "And you can grab that sniper in the corner and get this over with" he growled.

As the battle ensued Soqkar and his new troops killed two humans in a blaze of plasma that would have scared the Prophet of Truth himself. Soqkar was confident that his forces would win and he settled in with his sniper to wait for the next foolish human to show its head.

The probe neared the covenant fleet. It knew that with the fleet busy firing at their holy object and launching pods they wouldn't likely detect it but to be safe the probe set itself a course for the middle of the ship mass and powered down all systems except for scanners and slight course adjustment systems. The probe scanned the nearest covenant ship (a frigate) and focused on its military compartments. It noticed that the military crew was running on fewer numbers than were typically required to make a ship that size run and it came to the conclusion that the covenant frigates were almost powerless and were relying on the other ships in the fleet to protect them after their pod launch. It also noted the current formations incase an attack was necessary. The probe was so absorbed in its observation it almost forgot to change its course and grazed the bottom of the ship in its hurry to escape the imminant collision. Risking detection, the probe sent power to its transmitters and sent the collected data hoping that the power, and the message, wouldn't be noticed by the nearby ships.

" major a trasmission. I am intercepting now!" yelled one of the jackels as he furiously typed on his holopad control center. The ships all recieved a message that something had been scanning them or somethind had collected data on them. and that full alert status was now instated, The battleships stopped firring and surrounded the friegates so that their luanch pods safe.
