From the ashes, rises a new government

In past days, three countries in the Caribbean fell to shambles. Saint Margaritha, Sait Domina and Armanos. Immediatly following the collapse of the governments, the Confederacy of Pirate Captains seized the opportunity and began an occupation of the lands. They planned to set up puppet governments, creating further havens for the Pirates.

Despite the occupancy by the Pirates, a strong resistance formed in the wasteland left by the collapse of the three governments. A number of factions formed, ranging from hard core communists to corporate alliances. Over time, a strong faction of religious leaders formed and overpowered the rest. The Theocratic Republicans, built up a strong enough force to challenge the Pirates.

After a great deal of fighting and bloodshed on both sides an uneasy truce was formed. The Pirate Captains agreed to allow the newly forming Theocratic government to rule the three countries, however they served under the Pirates and only at their lesiure. Allowing the Pirate Captains to continue to control the land but not quite the way they would have intended.

This arrangement for now, is acceptable to the two sides. Only time will tell if the newly formed agreement lasts.

In the meantime, the government will attempt to forge from the Ashes a great and holy land. However, beyond the tensions with the Pirates, lays the fact that this new land has forced three seperate and unique peoples to co-exist under one government, something which hase proved itself incredibly difficult in the past.

::A press conference is broadcast world wide via Satelite
Seen on the screen is a man. Obviously a pirate. He wears a black hat, and his long black hair is in dreds. Around his head, is a halo of smoke coming from fuses he has stuck in his hair which make him look terrifying. His face is mostly covered by a long grey, and matted beard. His eyes are wide, piercing, and red::

"Let it be known throughout the Caribbean. That we have indeed completed our dominance of Saint Margaritha, Saint Domina and Armanos. Rumors of any resistence to our rule, be greatly exagerated. Me and my mateys can not be challenged in such things. Out of the goodness of er hearts wes decided to allow a few people from the region to take care of the boring day to day affairs. But let ther be no doubt in yer hearts, we Pirates reign supreme. The government can do no things that wes ourselves do not allow."

The people of The Holy Republic of MargarithaDominaArmano would be very glad at any assistance you could provide. Our hospitals are currently overcrowded and many more people are in need of medical assistance. Our food is scarce, as our industry has been in shambles for some time. Our infrastructure is decimated, and we are in need of housing for many homeless citizens. Exactly what aid can you bring us?

-His Excellency, Bishop James IV
Interim head of the Holy Republic's government
