My fellow nationstates, a threat to all that is democracy has emerged today. There are communist nations that seek the destruction of democracy throughout the world. I talk to now, not as someone who is seeking to fight communism, but as someone who is seeking to keep democracy alive. I propose a temporary alliance of all democratic nations to fight this threat. Recently I have had my problems with the WACL, but we must put those aside and join together to ward off this threat. Any nation who is a democracy needs to join this alliance. For democracy is something that we can all agree on and we need to defend it. Most nations know that I do have a anti-communism stance. I do not seek the destruction of it, but I do seek the destruction of those who want to destroy democracy. We can not allow this to happen. Thank you and good night!

We cannot speak for others, but Malkyer has no quarrel with peaceful, democratic communist nations. We disagree with their ideology, but respect their sovereignty. It is nations that threaten our way of life that we take a stand against.

I am not trying to destroy democracy...If you read the thread...some communist nations have declared that they want to destroy democracy and that democracy will fail. I am going to war with them for that not becuase they are communist. Heck...they can remain communist after the war, but I am only trying to perserve democracy. Not destroy communsim.

Please explain to me what I have done wrong here. A nation had claimed to want to destroy deomcracy. Being a democracy, I decided to get a alliance together to fight those nations. Not communism. Those nations. Please tell me what is wrong with this. I only want to survive. I am not planning on fighting communism okay!

Did you even read the threads. I am not planning an invasion. They threatened to attacked me...they even asked time and place. I am not planning an Invasion. Anyone should be able to see that. I want to defend myself. I need help. Okay!

Nellisland, we will pledge our support if you are attacked, though I do not see the need. Based simply on population, you ought to be able to easily crush all the nations that have thus joined the alliance against you.

You have the full support of the great Kingdom of Matrex. We will fight for the side of democracy even though we are a monarchy.

Not being all that big, or all that powerful... we're still somewhat concerned... concerned that fanatical states like Sovietany and their allies will further destabilize the world, and their conflicts spill over into our neck of the woods.

In short, we support you, Nellisland. (though god only knows where this is going to lead us...)

Given the small amount of intelligence which we have gather on this 'alliance' so far, we've come to the conclusions that their combined capabilities result in little more then a potential annoyance to our nation. The majority of nations in this alliance are smaller then our latest protectorate, which alone makes us wonder why anyone is bothering with them. Only one of these nations has any sizable assets, and even then their 'fair' economy isn't really something which would support a large conflict of anysort.

We are of course, wary of any potential terror threats... but to be honest, given what we've seen so far, I imagine our own resident trouble makers in Noitan Teppup would eat anything they sent alive.

Overall, this alliance isn't a threat to Democracy, it's an embaressment to Communism.

We don't see the point in military alliances to protect ourselves from Communist Agression when the threat posed is less then the threats of Terror Organisations already attempting to damage our fair country... then again, we are large enough to protect ourselves from such minor concerns so I suppose we have the luxury of mocking these nations.

Still, I see this communist alliance burning itself long before it causes any damage, no, we do not wish to be part of this alliance, we have our own concerns to see to.

Okay...that is fine. I realize that the threat is small but I am just being safe. You really never know.

I agree that the nations in the alliance are small and weak and will cause only an annoyance, but I feel that we shouldn't allow them to threaten anyone. I think that we the larger nations need to come together, and these small group of nations if the choose to come against us we will be able to smash them. I think that if larger nations combine I think that it won't be a challenge I urge you to think this over again and join our ranks.

I got to thinking...what about making this alliance permanent. Just to protect each other. Like Nato...anyone up for that?

OOC2: The worst arguement to use about being un-democratic is the one about infringement of another nations Soverign-ity as it is strictly to increase democracy in that nation usually to the extent of exterminating it for a period of time (kind of like cleaning a house, you have to make a big mess before you can clean it.

I think this is a great idea and someone can make a forum and we can start making a charter. I think this is a great idea. Let's get this thing going.
