The Crooked Beat

In response to growing white power movements in the nationstates community, the State Arsenals of the People's Republic of The Crooked Beat have developed a medium tank in order to protect national borders.
(While TCB never expects to go to war, much less be invaded, a shiny-new piece of hardware gives the illusion of preparedness).

The CT-1 is a simple tank, easy to produce, easy to operate, and easy to repair. The crew of four is protected from NBC environments, and the hull is high up off the ground, making for improved protection from mines. The tracks, wide and long, perform very well in loose terrain and mud, and the motor, while nothing special, is reliable and gives respectable fuel economy. Based heavily on the T-55, the CT-1 is useful in the right hands.
The CT-1 carries a 60mm high-velocity cannon, which can penetrate large amounts of armor at range. Brackets are included for the installation of AT-3 and AT-4 ATGWs, although these weapons would probably be in dismounted use in a combat situation. In addition to the 60mm HVMS, there is also a co-axial 7.62mm MG with 1,000 rounds of ammunition and a roof-mounted 12.7mm AA MG with 500 rounds. Eight 60mm grenade launchers are mounted on the turret, and can launch smoke and illumination rounds.
The CT-1 has a very low profile, essential for combat operations against modern MBTs, and carries enough armor to defend against automatic cannons . RPG screens can be fitted as well. An IR searchlight is included for the commander, and the gunner and driver have IR scopes.

A CT-1 demonstrating its fording abilities.
The State Arsenals are willing to export limited numbers of the CT-1 for 50,000 USD apiece.
