IC:

Unofficially they were there in order to take Vichy-French Botswana, a nation ingulfed in a deep political and ethnical crisis.

Four days later

The forces were lined up and ready. The world still believed that the Cots
were just there for wargames with the Germanians, but it was time to let the world know the true reason for them being there. At 03.00, the M2001 Crusader 155mm cannons lined up on the border fired on pre-plotted targets
within the border. The targets were SAM sites and other fortifications,
and also the capitol city of Botswana, Gaborone. The AH-64 Apache
helicopters of the Combat Aviation Battalions in the invasion force were
about to enter Botswanian airspace, covered by F-22s from the air. On the
ground, M1A3 Abrams MBTs, M2A3 Bradley IFVs and M113A3 APCs of the 1st Division were about to cross the border along a front streching from Lobatse past Gaborone to Machuti. The 5th Division were attacking towards Tshabong before going thru the Kalahari desert towards Ghanzi. These troops were well trained in desert warfare. Still, it would likely be a logistical nightmare.

A Aircraft Carrier Battle Group had set sail from Myanmar, and were headed to the Eastern shores of Africa.

Aircraft Carrier Battle Group Tequila:

3 Aircraft Carriers
2 Battle Ships
3 Missle/Artillery Ships
150,000 Marines
1,000 Special Forces
250 Kampfpanzer Leopard 2
50 Type 90 Tanks ( OOC: NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE CHINESE TYPE 90! )

* This may seem a little small and powerful, but of course I am thinking of uniting my 2 Battle Groups deployed in Finland, and the 1 that is in dock. Yes, I don't plan on keeping Finland soon. BTW, obviously, this is OOC >_> The battle group has not set sail yet.*

The 4th Blitzgruppe had stationed itself along the border with Botswana to prevent anyone potentially hopping the border into Germanian soil.

They had not communicated this movement with Cotland, but their orders were not shoot anyone potentially trying to enter South Africa, but rather arrest them. They would then be turned over to the Cottish government.

CNN (Cottish News Network)

"Over to Botswana. The long oppression of the ethnic minorities by the Vichy troops have finally come to the attention of the Cottish military. Currently, Cottish units are in the process of taking Botswana from the Vichy oppressors. Secretly funded resistance groups in Botswana have rebelled and are distracting Vichy troops from the ongoing Cottish forces. Elements of the 1st Cottish Division have taken most of the capitol city Gaborone, heavily supported by resistance fighters armed with old Cottish M-16A2s. Preliminary reports indicate that the Cottish army have destroyed seven full Vichy regiments with minimal casualties.

We will return to this case when we have more information. Over to Layarteb City, where attempts of demonstration was squashed..."

Tank 112, 15th Cottish Division

"Target T-80UM tank, range 2100 meters."

"Loaded!"

"Fire... Kill! Reload! New target T-80UM tank, range 2050 meters."

http://www.anselm.edu/academic/history/hdubrulle/WarandRevolution/graphics/Paintings/Persian%20Gulf%20M1%20No.%202.jpg

The T-80UMs that the Vichy threw against the Cots had to bite the dust when faced with the 120mm SABOT round fired by the Cottish M1A3 Abrams tanks.

The "police action" in Botswana went on, with the two Cottish divisions destroying all the things the Vichy could throw against them. By now, a total of 15 Vichy Regiments had been decimated by the Cottish M1A3 Abrams tanks, M2A3 Bradley IFVs and Grenadiers with SMAWs and XM-8s combined with the air power of the A-10s and F-22s. The real push was still to come though.

No just curious. If you want there could have been a "squashing" of a demonstration in LC because it's outlawed.

OOC: Don't bother I'll add on..

The situation in Layarteb City was growing unstable by the minute. A group of anti-imperialists attempted to stage a demonstration in the capital. Numbering some 600, they protested the Layartebian advance into Ireland, Kaliningrad, Central America, Maryland, Virginia, and so on and so fourth.

Being that our provinces are soley in the African continent our government is concerned over the well being of our home continent and it's people. We wish to ask what sort of crimes against humanity was the government of Vichy committing? A military offensive without solid evidence of cruetly doesn't sit well with the emperor.

The Empire of Cotland have entered Botswana after several confirmed reports of attempted genocide by the Vichy government in Botswana. The Empire have no plans to attack Ninjan citizens or territory, and don't plan to have such plans in the future. At least that's the plan.

We understand that you have no intention to harm Ninjanian citizens but we are concerned over the phyiscal proof you have of attempted genocide. If numerous accounts of reported genocide can be confirmed, we will be willing to provide intelligence for combating Vichy French fighters. Our concerns are for the well-being of the African people.

"Germania strongly warns Teh Ninjas against any aggressive actions towards the nation of Cotland. While we do not wish war with the nation of Teh Ninjas, Cotland is a close ally and we will not tolerate motions of hostility against it.

Under the rule of Vichy France, Botswana was under a severe and tyrannical government which tortured the people of the aforementioned nation.

Cotland is a well-balanced and benevolent state which will serve the nation of Botswana excellently.

We wish the best for both nations."

OOC: Well Duke, I would pick a side first. You could be the indigenous Bostwanian people who start a rebellion against the Vichy French government siding with me, Cotland, Lay and NG, or you could be rebels against me, Cotland, Lay and NG which would side you with Teh Ninjas and anyone else who backs Teh Ninjas and you up.

IC:

The Pyschotikan fleet, met by 3 other fleets that set sail from the Baltic Sea not to long before the Myanmar fleet, had arrived in South African docks. The Pyschotkan troops were organized, and were immediatly sent to the Botswana.

OOC: I'll post stats in awhile, need to do something.

OOC: Just FYI, I've sold Botswana to the Duke. I'll finish the invasion before I hand it over...

IC: The majority of the country was under Cottish control, leaving only the northern-most parts of the nation remaining. Twelve A-10 Thunderbolt IIs flew over the Kalahari desert in search for any remaining Vichy army units. One battalion-sized unit was spotted and put out of commission by eleven hundred 30 mm depleted uranium rounds and various rockets, missiles and bombs.

We never said we'd take military action against Cotland if we discover this attack was soley for imperialism. What we are merely asking for is proof of crimes against humanity. All that we ask for is limited proof of these accusations and we will cease to bother you, other than offer information pretaining to enemy whereabouts.

Letter from Mr. Haro Bibke, Botswanan national

Dear Mr Shwan,

I understand that you wish evidence that the Vichy French were guilty of crimes against humanity. Let me explain the situation for any person not white while the Vichy were still in power. I myself are a black man, and very proud of it.

The normal day for us colored would start with have to go to work early in morning, work all day for nothing more then a piece of rotten meat. It were worse then the famous concentration camps used by the Nazis. On the way, we risk getting stopped by the soldiers and assaulted, robbed, beaten or even killed, just because of the color of our skin. All encounters with white people was filled with racist remarks towards us, and the black people had no rights. We was merely animals, kept as slaves for cheap labor. No black man or woman here has any schooling.

All this change when the Cottish soldiers came. They shoot our former "masters", free and feed us blacks and gave us medical care. They is starting schooling for us blacks, and they have bring us civil rights and freedom! We are all thankful to the Cottish, and praise God every day for Cotland intervention. Now, thanks to the Cottish, I know how to write, something this letter are proof.

I hope that this letter will help convince you that the Cottish intervention in Botswana is right, and that the Vichy was indeed criminal.

Sincerely
Mr Haro Bibke

*****

Attached to the letter are ten pictures of Vichy soldiers harrassing, raping and killing colored people. Most are of such strong graphic nature that they cannot be printed here, and are likely to make the councilors in Teh Ninjas sick.

The invasion was almost completed. The Vichy army had been destroyed, all cities had been taken by Cottish forces. The only thing that was needed was for whatever remained of Vichy forces to surrender. That would likely be achieved within the end of the day. The Vichy could only muster the equivilent of two battalion now. Nothing compared with the two Cottish divisions in the country.

A single M151 Jeep flying a white flag came driving towards the 15th Division. A total of 300 turrets followed the Jeep as it drove in towards the command vehicle carrying General Owens, the CO of 15th Division. Inside were Colonel Jean Baptiste deLavuiles, the sole surviving senior officer of the Vichy Army.

General Owens exited the command vehicle and walked up towards the Jeep, surrounded by 20 soldiers. Around the Jeep was a further 50 soldiers and three M2A3 Bradley IFVs (with their turrets aimed at the Jeep).

"Mon general, I am Colonel Jean Baptiste deLavuiles of the Armee de Vichy. I wish to offer the surrender of the Vichy military."

"Thank you. I accept the surrender." The General turned to a Sergeant. "SERGEANT! Ah, there you are. Please book the good colonel as a POW."

"YES SIR!" the Sergeant said before he walked up to the Colonel and stripped his of his sidearm before reading him his rights as a POW. The colonel attempted to protest, but were quickly subdued. The war was over. The Cots had victory.

The news spread to the world quickly. The Empire of Cotland had taken yet another area of land. What they didn't know was that it was going to be handed over to Duke Barol immediately and that the Cottish troops would be returned home immediately.
