Elements of the Vastivan 5th Expeditionary Army took control of the northern and southern shores of what is know as the "Straits of Gibraltar", along with the area formerly known as France, and the island of Sardinia. No resistance was apparent, and the Vastivan force has not announced any hostile intent. Quite the contrary, Vastiva peacekeepers appear quite happy to continue "trade as usual"; they were met with no resistance by local forces, who seem rather interested in keeping an active presence in their area.
