The step taken with pride.... (FT Open)

Gaian Ascendancy
14-03-2005, 04:44
((OC- Meant for Neo Zeta primarily, but it's quite open to all those that want to participate. =^^= ))

--------

It began simply... if the words simply had any honor in attaching to this moment.

In the wake of the near war with Neo Zeta, apparently a near military coup as well within that realm, and the resultant diplomatic miracle that averted bloodshed, the Gaian Ascendancy is now going all out to begin solidifying ties with the Zeta Empire.

..and to begin cultivation of interests of the other nations that had asked for assistance. ((OC- Sorry if I don't remember names perfectly yet, just join in if wanted.))

The entire endeavor therefore was surrounded on Washu's literal miracle of her own. Despite all odds, what the Zetans were about to gain back, would surpass their expectations. But to do this, they also were going to unveil several major elements of Gaian society at once.

On the vessel that would bring Lady Aura back to the Zetans, would travel most of the Holy Council, the Khans of the Snow Eagles and White Tigers, and a full Tourman Galaxy made up of an honor guard of five Clusters from all three Tourmans, attached with two Clusters of Aero Support and two Clusters of Combat Vehicle Support.

With the vessel, and it's contents, would be the 31st Republic Assault Fleet to escort the vessel, to show to the rest of space that the Ascendancy was no paper tiger. Words were one thing, eyes said another.

The vessel awaited the arrival of the Zetan escort as well, the gateway open through the White Diamond Gate Shield Grids.

The vessel was waiting in high hemisphere station keeping with the rest of the Fleet escorts, all of which were dwarfed by the monolithic vessel, such that was all at once a massive symbol of the Ascendancy, and their ideals.

Ideals, hard to keep in practicve, and therefore expected not to be perfect. But the dream that is Gaian sees what the mind lacks with actual sight. The vessel was that symbol for this reason...

http://www.freewebs.com/gaianknight/mechs/Eternal%20Planet.jpg

..that symbol, with the name Eternal Destiny inscribed into the Republic StarFleet Table of Vessels, the five hundred kilometer long symbol of the Ascendancy, floated above it's parent world in expectation, with crew waiting for their ilCommander's word.

Today the nascent steps turn into allied growth and hope.

..that symbol, with the name Eternal Destiny inscribed into the Republic StarFleet Table of Vessels, the five hundred kilometer long symbol of the Ascendancy, floated above it's parent world in expectation, with crew waiting for their ilCommander's word.

Today the nascent steps turn into allied growth and hope.

Which was exactly why the Space Pirates wanted it.

Such a large ship, such a powerful ship, with such promise behind it. Not even the Mother Brain could have imagined such a bounty! The Space Pirates knew they had to take it; by force, by stealth, or by sabetogue; it had to be theirs.

Space Pirate regiments, under General Akalsah, who was taught by Ridely himself, had been in training for months. Combat simulations, weapons training, specific training in ship-to-ship assaults, even a few real-life small-time raids to demonstrate their ability. Success was at 100%: no casualties, no screw ups, no problems. They had been waiting for the day their purpose would come true.

That day was about to come.

A common Deep-Space Cargo Ship, called the Zibereth, began to move slowly towards the Eternal Destiny. It's grizzled piolet, Jacob, unaware of the cargo he had onboard. All he knew is what he told Gaian customs officers: he had specially-designed parts that would augment the Eternal Destiny's food synthesisers with more recipies.

It had worked past three checkpoints in deep space, but now the Zibereth moved to the final checkpoint. Jacob sent a transmission to the Eternal Destiny and the long line of cargo-ships passing to-and-fro into its dry-dock.

"This is Jacob Radfer, Deep-Space Transport ship Zibereth. I have a scheduled shipment of food-synthesisers that are ready for unloading. Requesting permission to land."

All he could do now was wait.

OOC: I'm using this as a sudo-introduction. BTW: There are no Space Pirates in the Zibereth. There are only a..."special"...food-synthesiser.

Three of Neo Zetas newist ships came threw the shiled to help in the escort to Zeta Prime. The new Flag Ship the Scimitar a Predator Class and Two Warbird Class. Ormus got word that Yusuke was back. Jace sent a message to the Gaian Ascendancy

" My friends we are ready to escort you to our home world. We would like to thank your people for their hospatlity. We hope you enjoy your visit to our home world as much as we enjoyed out stay here."
Krioval
14-03-2005, 05:13
Krioval. Earthbound only five years earlier, it was a nation of tremendous innovation and efficiency, borne of a spirit of constant fear of subjugation. The old adage is true: there is always someone bigger, faster, more intelligent, or simply better at something. And so Krioval grew faster and faster, pushing itself forward on sheer desperation to overcome anything in its way. The leadership had secretly hoped for war - it would have demonstrated Kriovalian weaponry while also gaining productive territory. Now the focus would shift to economic competition. Kriovalian ambition versus Gaian Ascendancy (and Neo Zeta) numbers. It was close, but Krioval currently held the economic advantage, and with the potential for alliance with Xenonier, Koro Vartek's face held the grin of self-satisfaction that could only grace one of such a young age and with near limitless desire for strength soon to be attained. He moved fluidly to the communications console.

To the governments of Gaian Ascendancy and Neo Zeta:

Krioval will be arriving shortly. Please give us coordinates so that our dimensional shift does not cause undesirable consequences. We would hate to appear inside of another ship, and thus destroy both. We await your reply. We trust that our good friends from Xenonier have also been invited.

They would not dare snub Krioval. Nearly everybody, from the common citizen to the Commander knew how punitive economic isolation could be, even against vast empires. They wouldn't dare offend an economic powerhouse like Krioval lest that country wreak havoc on interplanetary markets - at least that was the theory. It was about to be tested.

"Message transmitted, Lord Raijin," the Diplomatic Director said.

"Good. Now we wait for them to finally invite us out there." Raijin was not pleased at the lack of formal invitation, though he would shelve the slight if a trade agreement were forthcoming.

Across the room, Darvek grinned, and quipped, "I'm shocked to hear that there are still pirates in space. I mean, the legal way's just so much more rewarding."

OOC: Unless you can penetrate the defenses of Torokara AND the command center, all everybody else got was the actual message. :D

"Finally. A response. Koro, you're up." The Commander of Krioval gestured to the teleporter. "I'd say take the Vartek. They just reinforced the armor and upgraded the shields."

Koro nodded silently. "Guards?"

"Yo." Koro turned to see the figure of Tevak in the doorway. "Think you get to go to space without us?" he asked, moving so as to reveal Sakira. "It'll be just like old times!"

"Gods, I hope not," Sakira deadpanned. "Where to, Lord Director?" She dramatically pronounced Lord Vartek's title while performing a sweeping bow.

Koro tried not to react, but laughed softly anyway. "Neo Zeta. Got a few buttons to push...diplomatically, of course."

"Then we're there," Tevak said. "Let's do this."

They boarded the teleporter and were whisked away to the orbital platform. From there, they walked to the Vartek. "Lots of memories," Koro mused. "Some actually not completely intolerable."

"Let's go, Koro," Sakira said, patience rapidly diminishing.

They boarded, waited for clearance, and moved slowly to the shift point. "It's easier now than the first jumps, that's for sure," Koro said, before activating the transdimensional drive. "Vector thirty-two it is." One instant, they were in orbit of Earth, and the next, they were just outside Zeta Prime's orbit.

Without waiting for further instruction, Tevak maneuvered the craft to a stable orbit. "Bet they're going to love that little move, huh?" he asked, smirking.

"Behave, Tevak," Sakira warned, eyes flashing dangerously. "Husband or no, you screw this up and it'll be the last 'screwing' you ever see. Got me?"

IC: In response to that Neo Zeta Ordered one Warbird to Decloack behind their ship. Then Cloacked agian they could use their little talent to see the cloacked ship however. But it would be a diffrent story with the Predator Class and its cloack however only one had been built so fare do to the cost.

*The Docking Bay of the Eternal Destiny*

The Zibereth was allowed access. But the vessel was quickly dwarfed by just entering the Docking Bay, the larger of three such along Plane Three. When the vessel drew within however, they also drew within sight of a trio of Mobile Suits lanching with a Point of OmniFigthers.

Within the Dock was busy with the last supplies being loaded.

It was also busy with Angel God guards and OmniMechs watching over the area, large enough for a normal CAG base alone.

But there were also non-human souls within sight also, some that looked like large griffons from afar, and others that glinted light off the arms. However detail at this distance was still difficult.

" My friends we are ready to escort you to our home world. We would like to thank your people for their hospatlity. We hope you enjoy your visit to our home world as much as we enjoyed out stay here."

When this message was recieved by the Foreign Advisory, the Council was informed quickly.

News reached the Eternal Destiny as Aleaic toured the Command Core sector of the vessel, with Advisors Yurika and Tsutsumi, along with Advisor Belldandy..

..who was escorting Aura herself.

They were all touring the aft portion of the Command Core sector, when an Aide, an Avian Lord strode up.

"~ Messages as the Council wioshed for you to hear. ~"

Aleaic took the Padd from the brown and white griffonite, and read the contents. Aleaic was suprised at the inital feelers from Krioval.

"We have gained attention indeed."

Lady Yurika then asks. "Is it wise to do this? The Zetans we know, but the Kriovalans..."

Aleaic nods but replies.. "Coordinates for outside the orbit of Emerald, though after, they may proceed into the Inner System. Lets see what they have to say. Course that's all after..."

Aleaic stops and looks back at Belldandy chatting up a storm with Aura and smiles. He then looks over at Tsutusmi. "Status of the Fold Drive System?"

Tsutsumi replies. "Last word, anytime you wish. In fact the vessel is fully capable and mobile at any time."

The Excellency nods. "Then inform the crew we will depart within an hour after the Zetans arrive. It's time."

A second Kriovalian ship appeared next to the first. Inside, the three Kriovalian Directors and the Commander opened a telepathic link, secured it, and said simply, "We're not taking the slightest chance with this. They talk a lot about a Goddess. Let them meet the one of the Gods of Krioval then."

The link was broken, and the two ships waited silently in orbit of Zeta Prime. Whatever was to come, it would certainly be interesting.

The crew of the Neo Zeta ships were looking over the Transwarp drive and makeing sure it was online. Yakumo was on the Scimitar. " How fast can this thing go?"

The Commander looked at him and said " Well this will be the first time we used it. It Sould be able to hit Warp 23 and get us home in a matter of moments but after such a warp it will be offline for atleast a day"

Yakumo Smilled " good i just hope the ship can stand it." The Scimitar got word from Neo Zeta high command and sent a message to The Gaian Ascendancy. The Scimitar will be going ahead the two warbirds will wait untell your ready to leave. Also Ormus will also leave do to its slower speed that way Yusuke and Jace can not be late. Kiv sat silently in the Commander's ship, sampling the space nearby for human thoughts. Suddenly, several were quite obvious - and close. Without really considering the implications of his next move, Kiv opened a communications relay. "Hail, starship. I can only assume that you're Neo Zetan and nearby. Don't worry, you can cancel your invisibility field." He chuckled until he realized where he was.

"Sorry about that," Raijin offered. "The downside to being a telepath, I suppose. Truth be told, I've always wondered what it'd be like."

"Not as fun as you'd think, Commander," Tevak offered. "All the interesting people's thoughts are sealed by telepath blockers, it seems."

"All the interesting...you snot!" Raijin bellowed, though his smile betrayed his true mood. "Trying to read my thoughts for the past hour?"

Kiv decided to conclude the message while Neo Zeta might still harbor the belief that the leadership of Krioval didn't always act like...this. "We await further instructions. Krioval out." He terminated the commlink and gave Tevak a mischevious look. "You want to know what Raijin thinks?"

The Commander of Krioval shot Kiv a dark look. "Valiyos, don't you dare, or you'll be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the marriage."

The four remaining Kriovalians shot each other looks as if to say "Just like home". And the two ships remained, orbiting the primary world of their host.

OOC: On Kriovalian telepathy - earlier there was a network of telepaths scanning the border, making it easier to detect; here, there was one telepath (albeit a near-master) "looking" while the other was trying to probe Raijin's mind (unsuccessfully).

IC:

Koro responded to the Neo Zetan message. "I am Director Koro Vartek, of Kriovalian Diplomacy and Trade. I thank you for your offer, though it may be to our mutual advantage to wait for other parties to arrive before discussing permanent diplomatic agreements. Though I think that the current barriers to trade that exist between our two powers can safely be cleared at this time. Is that an acceptable start?"

--------

A quick teleport placed the Excellency and his Advisors at the nerve center of Command Core.

A open space area of crisscrossing walkways and 'solid' lightpaths, where in exacting order and placement, the numerous Command Stations resided. All the sectors, and the vessel as a whole, was made of a new material, named angelliasteel. The surfaces were a ultra smooth, haolic/pearlaescent white, with a dull glow that came from within the 'metal'. All the stations, and superstructure, even to the external undersurface hull, was made of this material.

Operations Sectors were filled with consoles that looked like Star Trek LACARS panels, with a deep blue main coloration, with detail control colors of all shades of blue, white, silver, and grey. About these stations were numerous holo-viewscreens and tactical/strategic operations globes of various sizes. Souls combed over these areas with total dedication, crisp in their white and blue military style uniforms of the Republic StarFleet.

Entire sections were dediacted to specific functions that normal vessels operated by and took for granted. And then there were whole sections in the 87 deck level, by 8 x 5.3 Kilometer length/width Command Core, that defied normal concepts of spatial vessel functions.

For one, there was the Dimensional Cartography Sector, where a massive holo-globe, a library originally created by the Ascendants, displayed a massive 'map' of the known Dimensions in all of the Great Reality. Another was the Global Galaxy Strategic Sector, where entire areas could keep track of an entire galaxy, in terms of all manners of military, economic, and even cultural aspects.

That which his new friend called it, as he arrived at the Command Platform, a platform with numerous consoles and holo dispalys, one that took up about the size of an apartment living room.

As if size was a problem, since the Platform was designed to hover-levitate over and into a large open area, about a football field in length, from the connection point the Platform resided, towards the Aluminum Glassteel view port that extended over the 'entire' forward curve of the Command core section they were in. The viewpane was a seemless surface that ran for 7.3 kilometers left and right, and another 6.4 up and down. The Platform was placed at the upper 8/10th of the viewpane area, dead center, and rising higher as Aleaic commanded the Platform to rise about 57 meters.

"Shall we get going here? Gotta shake down this puppy."

Next to him waiting as Aleaic stood next to the Command Chair, Lord Ackronus nods simply. "(~ All automated stations report acknowledgement. All souls aboard are prepared.

...and indeed, let us... move this 'puppy'.. as you call it. ~)"

Aleaic cocks an eye at the Avian Lord, and chuckles, looking back forward with.. "Inform all station, and the Escort Fleet.

..prepare to Fold."

At the command, the vessel's numerous automated systems srping into action, with the mortal counterparts (and many immortal) keeping track and making recommendations and changes to the local profiles that end up making the whole of the command string programs that encompase the governing of the monolithic vessel.

Within moments, the titanic Fold Jump Drive Cores and Dimensional Targeting Nodes begin enveloping the vessel, and by design, the Escort Fleet, in a massive Fold Bubble.

Within moments, the vessel is held in place 'eaxctly' by the Fold Energies of the Bubble, as a Dimensional Tunnel is targeted by the Jump Drive computers, with the origin and destination coordinates of White Diamond space, and Zeo Zeta Prime space was localized.

The holoscreen (one of many..) in front of Aleaic indicating the process soon indicated from all relevant and redundant Sectors, of the green light. A moment before...

"I am not going to get used to this." Lord Tsutsumi quips with a mild headache of overawe burning his mind. Aleaic and the other non-Avian types nearby aren't too far off."

Aleaic quips back.. "A round of Advil on me when we get to Zeta Prime...

...Jump the Vessel."

--

The sight is both startiling and unsettling... The vessel from the outside at first shimmers, and then 'flattens' into a line of horizontal light that contains the Eternal Destiny and the Escort Fleet. The line collapses into a single point that has a mini burst of light from within...

Within, the sight is the only part that's unsetteling, as the Dimensional Stabilizaers do their job impeccably, with everyone within not even suffering a 'warping' effect from dimensional jumping, as Lord Ackronus informed. Sight then is filled with stars collapsing into a single horizontal line of light, quote bright to the eye, for a few moments.

The light then expands from the line, to become a totally different starfield to the eye. Also included, is the siight of the Zetan and Krioval vessels, as well as Neo Zeta prime itself.

To the outside view, the vessel first arrives as a 'shallow' gravity warp, with a bright starpoint becoming a very long line of white, before expanding terribly quickly into the form of the Destiny and it's Escort Fleet.

Within moments, all Sectors report the vessel's status. Only a minor transphase fluxuation from one of the Dimensional Shunt Conduits that held in check the immense energies that flowed through the drive. Otherwise..

"(~ Jump Complete.. all Sectors report nominal.

Congratulations on exerpiencing your civilizations first Fold Jump. ~)"

Aleaic nods, though with a rub of his eyes follows. (..and for the rest..) He then looks back at the scene external, impressed with the amount of scenery that filled the forward and starboard viewpanes.

He then looks back to Aura and says.. "Welcome home milady."

A few teleport pads later, the Ascendancy Council members, Lady Aura, and an honor guard of ten Angel Gods went down in a Lambada Class Shuttle, with an escort of three Wing Zero Custom IIC Mobile Suits, all gleaming in white, pearlaescent armoring as their station. But still more than lethal like the rest of their Tourman units.

It only takes a few minutes, and the Gaian delegates arrive on Neo Zeta Prime itself. They land, and simple as that, with the Mobile Suits behind it. They emerge from the shuttle down the ramp with Lord Aleaic in the fore, Lord Tsutsumi to his left, and Lady Yurika and Lady Belldandy flanking Lady Aura, behind them. The Angel Gods halt and stand in parade row in front of the ramp.

The group walks simply over the short distance to the waiting Zetans.

14-03-2005, 08:50
The seven Kriovalians, comprising the main movers-and-shakers of the government, arrived on Zeta Prime. They were dressed to impress, with the Directors adorned with various regalia that couldn't help but scream exactly which division over which they presided. But Raijin was something else entirely. Solokaro was the Kriovalian Warrior of Light, and Lord Dekker looked the part, with a brilliantly colored military uniform trimmed with the house colors of silver, red and black. The white headband identified him, to any Kriovalian at least, as a Paladin. The others followed nearby. Kiv wore the Andros colors, green and yellow, and was only slightly less impressive as the Commander, befitting the man who supported Raijin totally.

Darvek and Koro walked nearly hand-in-hand, the former in Tyvok silver and gold, and the latter in the Vartek colors, red and white. Melena had chosen to wear a black dress, despite being of the former royal family. The decolletage showed off an impressive bustline, and her small frame deceptively concealed her career as an intelligence operative who could probably kill with one of her stiletto heels - and then wear the unbroken shoe back home. The two soldiers, Tevak and Sakira wore standard military uniforms, which, while bright, were at least like sunspots compared to the extravagance of the Directors and Commander, save for Melena's attire, which was akin to the welcome cloak of nightfall.

They stopped short of the landing point of the Goddess Aura and the reverent crowd assembled, and they waited for the Gaians to arrive. Certainly, protocol demanded that they remain silent until officially welcome, and Kriovalian pride demanded the same. So they waited.

Arkady Gregorovich looked ... bored. Diplomatic functions had never intrested him since his earlier days, thousands of years ago. Orginially, as a young man, he had indulged himself in them, the fine foods, noble and wealthy investors, stunning women and general opulence all attractions.

Still, after having watched rampant capitalisim doom the Xenonians once, and seeing them accomplish their resurrection in one thousandth of the time through a communist system, which he was elected to speak for, he had lost his intrest in waste.

Ironic, tha he was expected to embrace it yet again. The oh-so eager businessmen and royalty, perhaps even a combination of both, smiling alongside their trophywives, their sons and daughters tagging along, all showing the signs of never having to go a day without the extravanagance they had grown to depend on.

Still, as the speaker for every Xenonian, he had a duty to do. The Miak - which could have been doing something far more productive, like destroying grishnaki pirate strongholds, or putting it's crews strong arms to work at construction settlemenst, was now forced to go to this procession. To cap it all off, this was the same one that had to shadow the very people it was going to make peace with - ha!.The irony was unending.

Arkady managed a sigh. These young beings would soon understand just why one should shun such opulence. He had only one guard - not that he needed it. Captain Hergiv, whom had just finished a treaty with Ghargonia, the young type, only a few hundred years old, would accompany him.

Preparations were made, and seconds later the miak had already arrived at the co-ordinates. They waited for the signal, weapons scanning for any potentinal threats.

Raijin watched as the leader of Xenonier arrived. It would be their first face-to-face meeting. He recalled as several prominent business leaders commented on the Xenonier society. "They're Communists," they hissed. The Commander didn't care. Economic system really didn't matter; power did. And power was like a river in its way. Varik Dekker had tried to dam the river and control its flow, and in the process had made the wrong friends *and* the wrong enemies. The river cannot be controlled directly, his son had concluded, but one must be at home anywhere on its path. In other words, one must become as the river. Mobility, efficiency, and knowing when to press an advantage were critical.

And so Raijin peeled away from the various Neo Zetan and Gaian dignitaries and moved toward the delegation from Xenonier. He didn't need a diplomat to tell him that simplicity was the key. "We finally meet, Speaker Gregorovich. I apologize for all," he waved his hands toward his attire and that of the rest of the Kriovalians, "this. Parliament sometimes refuses to admit that the monarchy was abolished thirty-four years ago. I am Raijin, Commander of Krioval." He paused briefly. "And to be completely honest, this ridiculous outfit is killing me." With that, the Commander threw off the overcoat, not quite letting it hit the ground. Underneath, a fairly standard Kriovalian military uniform made Raijin almost indistinguishable from the other soldiers.

Darvek and Koro had already shucked their oppressive coats as well, and Kiv soon followed suit. The Kriovalian delegation now looked more like an honor guard than the core of its government, but they were silently thankful that they wouldn't roast to death under the heavy garments. "Tevak?" Kiv asked the soldier. "Could you please send these up to the ship? And make a note that we're not to be traveling like this again."

Tevak smiled. "At once, sir."

Neaby, the Commander sighed, and said to nobody in particular, "Makes me wish for my army days again, ya know?" Somewhere deep down, Raijin hoped the gesture would not go unnoticed, though he was grateful for the opportunity to be rid of the trappings of a royal era now past. Such extravagance reminded him of his grandfather, whose death ended the royal dynasty. Xenonier was Krioval's future more than Neo Zeta or the Gaian Ascendancy, and it would pay to choose allies well in the coming negotiations.

Arkady remained emotionless, watching the manuevering and noting it carefully. Rajin Dekker was more mature than elsewhere suggested by kriovalian diplomatic services, (allthough that was hardly suprising). Futhermore, this meant he was to discuss matters with a commander, a leader of men, not a leader of money.

Hergiv looked aronud, plainly amused. A sign of consent passed between the two, and the younger one began moving around, gently and subconsciously nudging the minds of those around him with psychic energy, as a means of judging their character.
Krioval
15-03-2005, 02:50
Raijin reflected on events thus far, safely behind Kiv's telepath blocker. Between him and Tevak, any probes wouldn't penetrate too far below surface thoughts, and with the legendary openness of Kriovalian society, that would merely grant a foreigner a few minutes advantage! After all, nearly anybody who dealt with Krioval knew that they were interested in two things - economic prowess and military readiness. Both, of course, translated into power, and whether economic or military, it allowed Krioval to expand. And so the Commander chose to pin his hopes on Xenonier, which appeared as the most stable and compatible of the three nations Krioval had come to meet.

So Raijin would focus on Arkady Gregorovich and the other obviously military man from Xenonier. The other two seemed flightier, and Neo Zeta seemed downright unstable. An unstable or unreliable ally was worse than none at all, and heavens help Krioval should an ill Fate befall the Goddess Aura again. Trade and diplomatic status would be normalized, and maybe a few superficial pacts to keep the peace. The Gaian Ascendancy merited more interest, though they appeared to place a higher value on style than substance, and inefficiency was the number one turnoff from a Kriovalian governmental perspective. Besides, it was obvious that Neo Zeta and the Gaian Ascendancy had extensive prior contact and that their spheres of influence were practically on top of one another.

Raijin turned to the Xenonian delegation. "My apologies for being so direct, but I hate long meetings, myself. What can we two do here today to make our alliance permanent?" There it was, as blunt as the Commander could make it. "After all," he half-smiled, "all the trade pacts in the Universe are next to worthless if one doesn't have friends."
---------------
Koro Vartek, by Fate's quirky nature, was technically senior diplomat on the trip, though Sakira was easily the more skilled in the profession. The primary reason for that was Kriovalian diplomacy was meant to be a quick thing - the longer a treaty took to negotiate, the more Krioval would tend to lose. Koro was capable of directness when protocol demanded it, and more to the point, he never lost his temper, unlike Sakira, who once threatened a civilization with total destruction for delays in talks. So, in a way, Koro was both more direct and more subtle than his female counterpart. His youth helped as well. Who would think that a twenty-three year old could possibly negotiate well?

Koro turned to the Neo Zetan Emperor. "So, that's the Goddess Aura?" Truth be told, he had expected something more impressive, and he was ashamed to admit (to himself) that his voice betrayed the slightest inclination of being underwhelmed.

Melena, on the other hand, was a supreme diplomat, and as such, made an amazing Intelligence Director. It was almost comical how much information a soldier would give a woman who showed off a little bust - even if they had been told minutes earlier that this was the woman in charge of information gathering for Krioval. In any case, she walked toward the Gaians. "Pretty impressive ship you've got up there. How does one build such a huge thing?"

"Huh." Koro began to walk away, in order to look around, or perhaps chat up some of the Gaians - or meet Xenonier military leaders for the first time. It was obvious that he was unimpressed with the Goddess, not that she didn't seem powerful by most human standards, but Kriovalian psionics being as advanced as they were, the young man had simply expected more from a Goddess. "Straight to the point, I see. Still, time helps no one. Very well, do you want a document with that, or is the unofficial recegnation enough?"

((OC- Sorry for being late, and only a couple of posts tonight. I was updating my site again, including a new section on the founding of the Ascendancy, with the meeting between and Aleaic, and his ancient predecessor/grandfather.

It's still not completely done, but it's drawing close. =^^= ))
------

Aleaic listens to the exchanges and banter with interest, as his Advisors listen near him.

Aleaic then adds in his own. "As for your questions about my vessel, and the economy surrounding it. It's simple to us..

..from the start, our measure of value, is 'not' surrounded on the trade value of a credit, nor the greed it invariably pertains into.

Ours is a measurement of progress, and the education and brilliance of my people. Every aspect of Gaian society needs not a wage. Rather, they understand that a true equality of resources is given to all members of our society.

We have reason to endorse as much, for it also lies in the nature of the other question pertaining to our vessel. We have a powerful set of allies not of this Plane we call friends. One called the Ascendants, an ancient race that left behind our plane of existence, over a billion years ago, also left behind for the caretaking of my.. relatives.. the Powers.

The Ascendants created wonders beyond a mere vessel, including techologies we have spent many years reverse engineering and making our own, melding together diverse types of techology into formats that are far from flimsy. Entire Cities, space docks and yards, whole habitable systems, and nebulaes with subspace pockets filled with more creations, have fallen into our grasp.

More, the Ascendants themselves, despite all logic against the thought, are returning to the Mortal Plane as our allies. Them, along with assaistance from angelic, and a new race from yet another dimensional plane, called the Crysallians. ((OC- You'll all meet them soon too..)) ..have allowed us to gain an understanding of the universe around us, that we are more than ready to share with you four races here.

Besides, if a civilization does not worry about money first, many shackles are removed in worry about 'cost'... and the resources to support ourselves comes from far more than what our map says is our territories."

Aleaic then turns to Emperor Jayce. "As for Aura, her p[urpose is to give hope to your people, and more importantly, teach your people again about the ways of peaceful endeavors that will gain you far more than any pathetic war ever could.

Indeed, vessels and saber rattling is all and interesting. But compared to the infinite stars themselves, we all here are collections of dust and star matter. We are children upon the grounds we expand upon. To forget that, is to forget our place in the Existence and the Realities which all the Dimensions and Universes reside.

As such, this child offers the nations here, the Gaian desire to engage in profitable trade on all sides.

We are well self sufficent in our own regard, and we only seek to extend our prosperity to other realms, and spread the bacterium of good and life as a result."

Aleaic then puts the next with an emphatic voice, intent on driving the point home.

"I believe we can create the first portions of a grand experiemnt where that hath only resided outside our realms, and our dreams. Alliance.. Federation.. any name you wish to fall it under, is where this idea lies.

..one where the expansion of life, knowledge and all that is good, is the inital core ideas that spread even more throught the stars. In this Galaxy, and far beyond."

---

*Onboard the Eternal Destiny...*

The work crew was allowed to bring the food synthesizers into the nearest Galley. Only an area that could feed an armada of naval officers and troops.

The galley here is one of the more 'simple' versions. A stadium sized chamber that had enterance cooridors, staggered platforms that rose in six levels along six walls of the hexagonal chamber. Along all areas were rows and ROWS of molecular food dispensers, and even fully automated kitchens.

All the seating is along the walls, only a few thousand per level, arrainged in cafeteria style. If you ignore the plush blue, white, and silver cushion seating stalls. The center of the chamber is left empty, to allow unobstructed view of a series of holoscreens that display any information desired by a particular section. The same is available at the tables themselves. The Galley is nigh a hyper-tech center of it's own as well. =^^=

The crew bringing in their synthesizers are directed by a hovering holoscreen, whcih acts as a guide as it hovers and directs the group to the starboard, Level 4 wall section. Here, they can see a large (and I mean LARGE) white smoke glow imprint of a spiral galaxy image upon the whitesteel/angelisteel floor.

The chamber is semi-filled with Gaian, Ascendant, Angelic, and Crysallian crew members getting meals and snacks with beverages (even syntheholic drinks..)

Raijin matched his counterpart's gaze. He's tough, the Kriovalian thought. He suppressed the urge to run his hands through his spiky hair. The response to his question came.

"Straight to the point, I see. Still, time helps no one. Very well, do you want a document with that, or is the unofficial recegnation enough?"

He couldn't help it; Raijin started to laugh, but good-naturedly. "I, for one, would rather leave the paperwork to the diplomats," he said. "That's what I've got the kid for." Koro turned at the words, and the Commander nodded in his direction. "You're a military man, right? I've yet to have a soldier lie to my face." He leaned in toward the Xenonian slightly, and lowered his voice as if telling some grand secret. "I certainly hope you're not going to break the trend, ya know." Then he grinned. If there was anything Raijin Dekker liked doing, it was talking to soldiers of whatever rank or origin. "I forgot to ask, what brings you all the way here? Certainly, it couldn't be just to discuss already-resolved matters with me."
---------------
Meanwhile, Sakira and Tevak were frustrated. "What in the seventy-five hells are we doing here anyway? They're all just sitting and talking about some Goddess or something," Tevak groused. "I mean, we could be home, in bed, doing..."

"Stop right there. I don't need the entire Universe hearing whatever little thing you had planned."

"Gods. Look over there. Hell, Raijin's getting more play right now than me, and he's dealing with 'stony' from that far-off place."

"Ah, Tevak. You'd make a terrible diplomat. Once this is over, I'll explain things to you. Right now, I need you to do me a big favor. If you do, it'll be worth it later." There was absolutely no doubt as to what she meant.

"Anything for you," he responded, a bit overdramatically.

"Keep your mouth shut until we're back home." She shot him the evil grin a predator gives its prey. "I mean it, Tevak. Screw this up for Krioval and you're looking at a delightful military career of policing first-level Torokara. Or even Bralos."

Tevak took a sharp breath, crossed his arms, and focused on the two possible outcomes. A night of passionate lovemaking won over policing the slums, and the man sat in silence once more.
-----------
Kiv watched his Raijin in action, and couldn't help but be proud of Krioval's leader. Soldier, economist, and solder all in one, and yet he was able to be completely himself all the time too. He approached the Commander slowly, so as to not disrupt any conversation in progress. Quite a bit taller than Raijin, he would surely be noticed, but being a near-master telepath had its advantages; he could "smooth" his entrance by projecting an aura of calm and stability. And certainly, such an atmosphere couldn't hurt any conversation between Krioval and its newest ally.

Melena was nonplussed. One didn't become the Director of Kriovalian Intelligence if one became exciteable at the slightest things. She considered the Gaian response to her question. Naturally she realized that they were idealists, and some part of her seethed at that fact. None of her traditional methods were useful here; charm and intrigue would fail, as would subtlety. So it remained to bring someone without those characteristics. Somebody like...

"Koro!" Melena called out the other Director's name. "Didn't you have a question for Lord Aleaic?"

Koro obliged the woman by making his way over, effectively exchanging positions with Melena, who now wandered toward the Neo Zetan Emperor.

"What's a ship that size used for, anyway? Can't move all that fast, must use a ton of energy too." Koro the diplomat was obviously replaced by Koro the scientist here, at least in personality. And like all scientists, questions would be cold and analytical. Also, he'd likely ignore the political jabs, if any were forthcoming.
--------------
Melena made her way to the Emperor. "Your Goddess is quite something to see, actually alive," she offered by way of introduction. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Melena Kriov." She figured that quick and direct, yet polite, was still the way to go, unless things changed soon.

...Proto Omega...trust any other...you and your...have the time. Kiv, only fifty feet away, was able to make out at least portions of the conversation telepathically. And the images that went with it, while hazy, indicated that it was something that should not be ignored. Without bothering to conceal his rising anger, he leaned in toward the Commander and spoke softly.

"Raijin, they're plotting something." Frankly, Kiv didn't care whether Xenonier knew or not - they were allies after all.

If Kiv was upset, Raijin practically hit the roof while simultaneously managing to (barely) keep composure. Any telepath with any sensitivity, however, would have felt the sudden blast of rage that definitely justifed the man's name "Thunder God".

"Gods damn it," he cursed. "They have to do this sort of thing while we're standing practically on top of them?!" Raijin stopped as Kiv placed a hand on the smaller man's shoulder, effectively stemming his rising rage, and likely telekinetic backlash. The crisis thus averted, the larger man focused on the Xenonier Captain.

Just before the shuttle takes off, Tsutsumi offers to remain behind, and is then tasked by a mentally overwhelmed Excellency, to command half of the 31st Fleet as his own escort. Lord Tsutsumi is also left behind with several Angel Gods for good measure..

..the rest SHOOT up back to the Eternal Destiny and half it's escorts a few moments later, and within a few more moments, the vessel suddenly snap dissapears from the skies of Neo Zeta Prime.

They return to hell cometh about an hour later.. (and there be no reall hell like that of being in labor, as Aleaic already learned once before from his First Wife Tsunami's labor that deivered Isarra into the fold..

Meanwile Tsutsumi strides back and smiles to the gathered. "Hope you don't mind the leftovers." He says with a smile.

Raijin's fury had now become a cold rage, and like most cold rages, could be sustained just below the surface on his otherwise placid demeanor. Not only had the Neo Zetans and Gaians just had a "secret" conversation right next to his and his ally's delegation, but they had obviously decided to telepath-block it and continue! It appeared to him that his original suspicion of the Zetan/Gaian relationship had been right on target. What their goals were was unclear, but it probably didn't bode well for Krioval if they felt so confident discussing it in front of the now very-annoyed Pacific Islander. But he wouldn't dare confront them until Kiv got a signal from the Xenonier Captain. That was key. If it came to blows, either at this conference or in the intergalactic sense, Raijin needed Arkady Gregorovich's solid support.

Most of the Kriovalians had noticed that something strange was going on by this point. Their thoughts independently churned, though their polite smiles did little to hint at the rapid synaptic firings criss-crossing their brains. Even Darvek, not usually the quickest on the uptake, had shed a bit of his gregariousness and was now almost introspective. Quite naturally, nearly all chatter had ceased at this point, and the growing silence demanded a conversational sacrifice. And so Melena Kriov stepped up.

"Food? I suppose we could eat something," she said, attempting to add some lightness to an otherwise unfortunate diplomatic moment.

Raijin matched his counterpart's gaze. He's tough, the Kriovalian thought. He suppressed the urge to run his hands through his spiky hair. The response to his question came.

Arkady watched kiv from the corner of his eye. Unsurprisingly, the diplomat had "taken it upon himself" to prevent acccdidents in the discussion. As far as Arkady was concerned, the young being could (try) and do it.

Lets see him come into contact with a mind more powerful than he can possibly imagine, and something far more potent than that comatose goddess hanging over there.

He found the concerns of these people decidedly short-sighted, and decided to devote some energy to dechiphering the backdoor communication going on between the Neo Zetans, and the Gaians. ONe man seemed to be a psychic block, but that could be dealt with. Even chaos made patterns clear, it would just take time. The fact that their leader had a child "supposedly" to be born now was worth noting, both as a possible military target in case of war, and the possible heir to any diplomatic ties forged here. It was also worth noting, because it probabl indicated a lie, and people only lied to protect something.

Of course, no man comes without a backup plan. A lull in the fighting over at Xenonier had ended, and as a result, half the fleet was on standby. Communications to Tyraelia, requesting possible assistance, and a few other contacts, had aleady wrapped out possible consequences. Xenonians were efficient, methodical people, and they had aready mapped out plans with plans, wheels within wheels.

Now, Xenoniers speaker could adress Rajin, all other matters sorted out. The leader had raised an interesting question, finally destroying the diplomatic grunge and allowing free flow of information. His answer, was equally honest.

"Honestly, it's a combination of two things. Firstly, I don't trust the Gaians or the Neo Zetans as far as I can can kick their ships. Their war was wrapped up far too easily, and this is a warning sign as far as I am concerned. Therefore, I am maping their star systems data in my mind, and am fully ready to pass it onto the Choas Empire of Chronosia, so that if I am betrayed here, both empires shall be destroyed, and Chronosia will take it's place. If they will not agree to do it, we will do it ourselves. Either way, we know their weaknessess, now, to an extent, and they do not know ours. Metals, construction styles, personailities, psychic abilities - I have catalouged them all, and we know now this would be a massacre if it came to a fight. That alone grants us significant leverage in negotiations, as we can be smug, and ruthless.

The second reason, is for these pompous rats over there. You came, their leaders came, I would be expcted to do the same, and It is far easier to screw with he minds of weak men such as these on a battlefield, when you know how they are."

Kiv Andros, General of the Armed Forces of Krioval, knew how to deal with enraged soldiers. This was particularly useful now, in the wake of the apparent Zetan/Gaian intrigue - he was able to pacify Raijin quite easily. Of course, knowing the other man's every secret was helpful here too. And so the Commander's psionic raging abated, though the others had likely noticed. Perhaps they could be told that somebody was having a baby on Krioval? He lauged inwardly at the idea.

"I could certainly stand to eat something as well. Raijin?" the General asked the other Kriovalian. "You coming?"

Raijin sighed. The day just kept getting longer and longer. "Why not. And besides, I have a few questions for our hosts." Unless one had been right on top of the Commander as he spoke, one would be unable to discern the slightest emphasis the man had placed on the word 'questions'. It required a certain knowledge of Kriovalian diplomacy, namely that any questioning would start out blandly and then attempt to throw an otherwise unaskable query into the conversation to gauge the reaction. Raijin wasn't Commander simply because of his good looks, after all.

"Tell me," the Kriovalian addressed nobody in particular. "What do you know of Earth?" It had begun.

Tsutsumi sighs.. "There's a lack of trust to be dealt with over time it seems."

"Take a look, and give my blunt assessment."

Raijin was now frustrated and bored, and the various other Kriovalian Directors were quickly reaching the same state. To be invited to a "peace conference" only to have the two near-combatants practically sitting in each other's laps while everybody else was left to fend for themselves was not only rude, but on Krioval, would have been grounds for a "diplomatic incident", as people called it. Krioval had, in the past, gone to war over lesser slights. And if Raijin, who was at least tolerant of diplomatic functions, was nearly apoplectic, one could only imagine the level of fury the Xenonier men, who clearly detested these events. But then, they were far more patient as well - their ability to control their economy at the state level without obliterating civil rights showed that.

Darvek shifted uncomfortably. He was no telepath, but he knew Raijin intimately, and could read the man from fifty feet away in a dark room. "Yes," he started, a bit too loud, "how long do you live?" He forced a smile and fought the blood rushing to his face. He envied the others, whose darker skin would hide their frustration and embarrassment - they were Pacific Islanders, but Darvek was purely white, the Tyvoks being an offshoot of the Christian missionary effort of a century earlier.

Silence reigned.

"I...see." The Commander of Krioval spoke slowly and evenly. "I don't find fault in your actions, though," he did feel as if a point was to be made, for Krioval and Xenonier, "if my government had allowed a foreign leader, or worse, two to remain alone at a reception in Krioval, I daresay that I would have dealt with the matter directly. It would reflect terribly on Krioval otherwise." He considered Erika's other words. "Now, Lady Erika, if your interest in my delegation is merely to discuss diplomatic agreements, the young man over there, Director Koro Vartek, is the one you want to speak to. Typically, diplomatic requests go through the Director before me, unless a nation's leader wishes to speak directly to me, of course."

After the Gaians were seated, Tsutsumi glanced more at the Krioval and Xenonian delegations more.

And then speaks plainly about an eariler question missed.

"It's over a billion years old, built by the Ascendants themselves before any of our races existed... as our new allies told us." Tsutsumi kept neutral. "And we are learning that to run such a large vessel, is one scraping the iceberg, or more appropriately, skimming the edge of a galaxy, of the greater discoveries we are coming across.

Whether any of you wish to believe us or nor, is not my concern. Know simply that we can operate such a vessel, will more capability than one should surmise.

And also that more will be deployed in the near future."

Tsutsumi then folds his hands under his chin, and pegs in. "But even my station as Strategic Advisor, even in sight of these creations of our allies. Honsetly, the Eternal Destiny pales in comparison of a far more far reaching development that simple 'ships' can equal.

As we speak, several vessels are being readied to test a new Fold Drive that may... may mind all.. have the capability of Jumping a vessel at any point in the Galaxy instantly..

..or more.. to any point in this Universe Sector at will. Again another 'gift' of out allies, the Ascendants, we are given expansive galaxy charts of over Fifty nearby Local Galaxy Clusters, within a 15 Billion Light-Year radius, centered upon this galaxy, and we intend on exploring them all fully. An eternity yes, but one that explorers such as we relish the prospect of."

Lord Tsutsumi then looks hard at the Kriovalan and Xenonian delegates. "And while I applogize for not seemingly paying attention to your delegations of immediate note, do know that I also stand insulted, if anyone here dares place us as mindless aggressors with intent on baseless expansion through conquest of any mode or format.

I STAND insulted against the ideal, and any words spoken in silence is not on our intent of a conspiracy. Sirs... I know there are those that voice in own whisphers of the mind leak from us such possible thoughts.

Shame for you all that decide to turn lack of understanding, into mistrust that we did not come here to engender! We do not come here with the Sword and cleaved wing of the dove.

We come here with the Shield and the flower of the yellow rose. Friendship is our first fore this day, and from hence forth.

And if I speak like my Lord, then I have learned well from my younger Master of the Republic. 'Idealism' has it's place, and it's own effect of stone."

The psychics (or whatever exact term) sense from Tsutsumi, a 'glow' with the words spoken. There is no lie.

Belldandy just blinks. "Lord..."

"Fine I am..." Tsutsumi just replies. "..blame my wife's influence." ..said with a soft tone. And then the next words the same.

"We are prepared to engage in full economic and commerce trade exchanges, with intent to better relations and more between our four nations. After all, two came to our aid, as the third was under duress of the malevolent kind.

We do not forget those that help us."

" Emperor Jayce will be with you shortly."

Raijin nodded politely toward her. "Thank you," he said simply. The Commander turned to Arkady Gregorovich, and said "Now we're getting somewhere."
----------
" Hello i would like to talk about signing Trade Agrements and a None Aggresion Pact."

Koro listened politely before responding, "I think a nonaggression pact is workable. I will need to know which star systems you will be occupying first." He tilted his head slightly, attempting to gauge her reaction to the last statement. "For trade agreements, I will have to know what it is you would like to import, and what you might want to part with." He smiled at her. "Do you need time to consider options or does Neo Zeta already know what it wants?"

Darvek sat a bit away from the diplomats and sulked. He had never truly experienced jealousy before, and he'd be the first to admit that it sucked. Just when he was about to tell "that hussy" to "back off", the Director felt a hand land on his shoulder. Look up and backward for a moment, Darvek could see that it was Kiv. "Which one are you looking at?" the General teased, though he didn't wait for a response. "Do you really think so little of him that he'd go for her? It's not easy though, is it?" Kiv looked back at the Commander, who seemed practically enthralled with the emissaries from Xenonier, though Raijin's mind was clearly on military and political matters. "You learn to trust people like them, Darvek, because they'll always be there." He rose to survey the landscape a bit more. "Day or night. Dark and Light."

Darvek couldn't resist his next comment. "And which are you then, Kiv?"

"Who or what can outshine Solokaro himself?" Kiv responded softly. And then he was walking away from the Security Director.

The Kriovalian delegation watched the outburst from the Gaians. Then, impassively, Raijin stood, taking his time. When he spoke finally, it was as if ice were given speech. "Well. We see that you finally have come around to notice us. Frankly, for a race that possesses starships one billion years old, I wish that some of the wisdom from that lost age would have come forth with it, and been bestowed on its current operators. You are clearly advanced, but I fear that your single-minded pursuit of your ideals blinds you to the very real needs of others. Had you wanted to discuss the history of your people, perhaps you could have included all of your guests. Otherwise, I suggest inviting people that you wish to include and discussing diplomatic affairs with us separately. We may not have an as extensive a history as your Ascendancy, but we've certainly had our share of crap flung our way, and we will be dealt with here, today, honestly and with complete disclosure or else not at all."

The Commander took a deep breath. "Now," he said, voice still unwavering. "I am willing to discuss diplomatic arrangements with one who can make final decisions on these matters. Are you the person to whom I should be speaking?" While awaiting a response, Raijin turned to some nearby Neo Zetans and asked, bluntly, "Would you allow this form of address to your Emperor? OOC: Mind if I liven things up a little. I was thinking of a pirate attack on my ship just sitting there. Because, listening to you people essentialy "OMG MY TEHC > YOUR TECH" gets kind of boring IC for my characters. It's perfectly fine for me ooc, but I'd like to play this by my characters rules somewhat now, considering. For them, it's being Doctors in chemistry and watching little kids discuss how awesome Caesium is, now that they've just discovered it.

IC:

Arkady smiled both internally ,and externally. These naieve young races. That ship was not what they said it was, at all, nor was it particularly advanced. He knew, simply because he was far older than that ship, his own mind thousands of years, the computer mind milllions. Nanotechnology could easily fake age, and it did seem to be a case here. If it was not, it was made to look so - and that indicate their ancestors were far smarter. They bragged about technology when they still worshipped gods, and couldn't maintain a hold on their government? Arakdy was stronger thn everyone in this room, not to worship, or foolishness, but to hardship. The Kriovalians were impressive, but nobody else. Boring, self-obsessed empires with no veiw of anything beyond their own face.

There was always a way to avoid these people. Arkady drew out a small slip of paper, burned a message onto it, and threw it at Rajin. Along the way, nanotechnology worked wonders, desconstructing the material so nobody could detect it. Moments later, it materialised in Rajins hand.

Written on the message was.

"Primitives. We have held more territory than these people with just ten ships, and we have faced far greater challenges. We were fighting wars for all when these people were crawling out of rocks as small mammals, and I have no patience for such things. This is merely a show of power, power they think they have. Million year old technology means nothing, if they cannot even dupliacte the effect and improve it. Evoultion is strength,no stagnation, and I'm seeing it here. Now, I have seen this all before. Soviet Russia, The United States, to space combat with thousands of races. Humankind is truly a weak link among the stars, o at leat this lot. Either way, do you plan to leave?"

Meanwhile, Hergiv had committed the ships area to memory. The Neuralink had already transmitted it to every Xenonian, and they already knew exactly what was going on. Most were treating it as a reality Tv show, amusing, shallow, and very naieve.

Raijin read the message and then concentrated. Slowly, the paper smoldered. He didn't want to attract unwanted attention by causing it to burst into flame, so he worked slowly and patiently. Even a Kriovalian can be induced to patience when the situation demands it. Ultimately, the message was obscured or obliterated by the slow burning. The the Commander turned to Kiv and Melena.

Kiv initiated the psionic transfer, and Melena, being an illusionist, created the impression that the conversation was trivial, if it was in fact occurring at all. The interference combined with the coding would make the message impossible to decipher, except for its intended receiver. Raijin again concentrated. The message would be bland, on the surface, but would contain ancient Kriovalian ciphers used in their improper context, and the key to the code was in the message itself, as were the instructions. "Hide things in plain sight," Queen Dakura had said, some centuries ago, "and your enemies will never know where to look."

And so he began. Arkady. I'm not sure you've given me permission to address you thus, but formality's pretty much out the window now, ya know. They talk about million-year-old technology. Whatever. Krioval has only existed for five centuries, and has been in space a fraction of that. Xenonier and Krioval will flourish even as we look upon the ruin of the decadent 'empires' we deal with today. I find it difficult to believe that these people were in space eighty years ago while my grandfather was showcasing the first lightbulb in Torokara. I'm most definitely done with this. Sign a few 'happy papers', Raijin paused as he considered how that might be translated, but figured the message would be received as intended, but I can't stand to be here much longer and listen to idealism praised more than common sense.

The beauty of the psionic link and its code was that another, listening in on the conversation, even directly, would invariably alter the content. The symbols would be misinterpreted, and the message would look something like Thanks for the help. What now?

OOC: Likewise, Kriovalians are obsessed with efficiency, so talking about megalithic technology bores them to tears. Theire attitude would be something like "So you can destroy a planet with that thing. Must be hell to move around, and it can't be everywhere at once."

OOC2: Pirate attack? Sure, though I'd like my government to get back to Krioval in reasonable shape. :D

Darvek couldn't help but yawn loudly. "Dear Gods. I'm exhausted. Maybe I should head back before I fall over."

"Hmm," the Commander followed. "Perhaps it is time to go. Unless, of course, our hosts have anything else of importance they would like to tell us. Otherwise, I'll leave the diplomacy to the diplomats. It's already after midnight in Torokara, ya know." He turned to the Xenonier delegates. "You seem to know a bit about Earth," he said. "Ever visited?"

"Ever visited?"

Arkady looked up at that comment. The Xenonian relationship with Earth was primarily old history, long ago locked in the secrets of time and space. That was history few knew outside Xenonier, and most of those that did has long since perished a weathered to dust.

Perhaps the truth about that conflict would be told later, but not here. Never to those that would abuse the knowledge.

"Yes, we know a little. We have had records on Earth before. Their ship is a paper tiger, Hergiv has already finished studying it. As is their combat suit, obth ineffecieint weapons that fail utterl in advanced space combat. "

Albedo had been picking up some of what was going on. He was not a human. Oh fare from it. He was as old was the stars them selves. He had been around since humans were nothing more then Single Celled organisms.
He wispered to Jayce. Albedo looked right into their eyes letting them know he was aware of them and to let them know he is know human.

OOC: Kriovals point is it doesn't appeal to them. After all, I take the alternative, each and every one of my capital ships can annihilate a planet and it's defences. It's why I have only 10 capital ships.

Arkady Looked directly At albedo, and stared into his eyes. With just a minor raise of an eyebrow, Arkady acknowledged him as one of the ancient beings, an species that as old as the very one locked away within his own mind. However, this one was young, even for them.

It was a direct faceoff, neither appearing to move, even to bat an eyelid, take a breath, or notice the looming stares of onlookers. Arkady sensed chaos, and adjusted his own mind to counter it. Ironically, they seemed to be polar opposites, one a figure of perfect order, the other pure chaos.

Koro was up now. He had watched and listened carefully to Arkady Gregorovich, and he was impressed by how much information the man could transmit without actually saying the words. "Perhaps you would be willing to visit Torokara? The weather is very nice there this time of year. Maybe we could discuss some things in more comfort there?" Koro Vartek was first and foremost a soldier, having only ascended to the rank of senior diplomat a few months earlier. Anybody who knew anything about Kriovalian society knew that the word 'comfort', as it was used by the Director, meant either privacy or security.

"Now, Koro," the Commander said, "I don't want to cause our allies any trouble. After all, we could just as easily visit Xenonier, if we invited." He laughed at that. Allies invited each other to do almost anything these days - it was one of the perks of an alliance. "Of course, Krioval is open to you whenever you please, Lord Gregorovich...and I apologize for the use of a title of nobility to refer to a military man, but I'd rather not insult you by using the wrong rank or title," he hastily added.

OOC: Krioval's history goes back about six hundred years. So while they may be impressed that a civilization can date itself back thousands or even millions of years, there's that nagging question "Why is it that it's taken them a million years to accomplish what we've done in a hundred?" Kriovalians are likely to make a few allies (like Xenonier) and attempt to 'out-advance' everybody else. So the entire nation is developed around efficiency and mobility.

OOC: Neo Zetas dates back with earth. However Albedos race has got to the point to where they are like The Q from Star Trek. They have the power to wipe out a race just by thought. Time travel is easy for them along with anything. However Albedo was punished for killing off races and has lost most of his powers. And my nation wants to make many allies. maybe one day i will apply for the GE not many people dare attack its members XP.

OOC: Well, actually they did have an interstellar empire that crushed everything they found, kept tabs on everybody, and did a Protoss, having godlike power, but they never used it, to quote starcraft. Then they became corrupt, and fell apart in a massive intergalatic war. That was thousands of years ago. They've only just started rebuilding in the last 75-100 Years, primarily because they've been dead since then.

The computer mind, however, is far older, stronger and more powerful. It was the first senitent computer ever made in the galaxy, millions and millions of years ago, and fused with Arkadys mind in the final battle for control of the Xenon galaxy, in an attempt to preserve itself. It's been learning from every specie it encountered, and it revered as a god on many planets for it's knowledge and optimisim (That would give insight into my version of creation online :p ). This means scary abilities that can pretty much nuke everything, but are carefully kept in check by self control.

I'm thinking of Joining ESUS myself. Quality over quantity thar be, huzzah!

IC:

The President Speaker barely batted an eyelid, and finally adjusted his own defences to match Albedos. Neither would be able to see each others mind, hopefully.

"Well, to dispose of titles and formalities, I am supposed to be referred to as President - Speaker. The President end does go against what people would expect of a direct democracy, but someone must hold the title for diplomatic negotiation. Primarily I speak for my people, and they direct me to what I am meant to do."

"As for diplomatic visits, it is always a consideration, althought a somewhat difficult one. Security could be a concern, as we have foes on all sides and do not wish to pull ships away to deal with this. Many people have hatred for the Xenonian empire, and we are dealing with everyone, one at a time. Unfotunately, Xenon is nowhere near as secure your galaxy, and nowhere near as small"

A few days later...

...and fortunately, the puppy was saved in time.

In other news, polls just released indicate that Krioval may be living up to its mercurial nature in the realm of diplomacy. Last week, a random sample of two thousand Kriovalian adults indicated strong support for the Gaian Ascendancy and Xenonier, though the same couldn't be said for Neo Zeta. Yesterday's poll, also conducted by KRNN indicates that times are most definitely changing. When asked whether they approved of the actions of each country, sixty-five percent approved of the Gaian Ascendancy, fifty-nine percent supported Xenonier, and only twelve percent saw redeeming value in Neo Zeta's actions.

After the unusual reception on Zeta Prime only three days ago, however, the Gaian Ascendancy has lost nearly all popular support, polling at around twenty-two percent. Neo Zeta, suprisingly, has risen to forty-six percent. Astonishingly, Xenonier has risen to eighty-seven percent approval, rivaling even the overwhelming popularity of the Dekker Commandership.

When asked whether the Gaian Ascendancy could be considering a campaign of aggression in the galaxy, last week twenty percent said it was possible; this week, just over half, at fifty-one percent, are now 'significantly concerned' that an attack is imminent. Neo Zeta's and Xenonier's numbers held steady, at sixty-three and seven percent, respectively. Quite naturally, the question on everybody's mind at this point is "What does Raijin Dekker think of things as they stand?" As protesters chant downtown for the expulsion of all Gaian citizens and agitate for sanctions, the Fate of Krioval hangs in the balance. Will Raijin call for peace? Or will he instead choose the sword?

*Holy Palace Tree ; Planet White Diamond

1346 Local System Time

Med-Tech Center Maternity Ward*

The area was slowly getting back into shape, what with the cracked glass panels, musted holo-display units and a few materity Techs with decent bruises on a few of em.

Meanwhile the 'cause' was holding her new baby, as Arashi held a well blanket wrapped newborn Lady Sirrana in her arms. And yes, breast feeding is encouraged, in fact 'tweaked' genetically to be done. (Washu enhanced the Council Family females in expectation of such 'needs' early on..)

In the room was all the members of the Council and many of their families were present, with most of the females within the large room with Aleaic and Tsunami nearest to Arashi.

A holo-screen was up showing the press release from Krioval. Not suprisingly from their point of view, the information was ludicrous.

"They approve of us, then think we're going to invade them?"

Tenchi looked over at Aleaic's sister Luriena with.. "We can't determine their opinions for them."

"They're worried about our big fat ships. That's what it comes down to." Aleaic spits. "..never mind the fact apparently the talks on Neo Ztea Prime didn't impress them."

"We seem too aggressive to them." Everyone glances at Aleaic's Father Terrai. "Any time a power base is grown, those that think like our species tends to, will presume that, that power base will in the end result threaten other's sovereignty." Terrai looks at Aleaic, as he stroked his long white bread, terribly reminiscent of Aleaic's GrandFather, the previous Power their mutual bloodline. "As long as we continue to grow, they will continue to feel the same."

"Unless something is done to diffuse the obvious result." Lady Seto pegs in.

Aleaic nods. "Well.. last thing I want my new daughter, or anyone else in our nation to know of, is war.

..needless the new Ascendant SSDs will be launched anyway and deployed accordingly.

But I also think it's time I made a new trip."

"We..." ..which makes Aleiac look to his right.. "What? I can't have fun on my own love?"

Tsunami adds to her injection before, with.. "..I hear they have a family too. Should we not meet as families?"

Aleaic winks at Tsui, then looks at Yurika and Peorth. "Ladies........"

Class-A HPG Station Transmission
Code: Open Green

Subject: Summit of peace

This is transmitted in the open. And we deliver it with the intent expected.

We are calling for a diplomatic exchange, where 'we', the Gaians will come to the Kiroval homeworld, with the intent of a peaceful meeting, to clear up any misunderstandings of our part.

We also say this simple message: There will be no war. We have no designs, nor any 'care' for war with the Krioval people.

Our actions within our territories are well free and open for any and all to see, as we hide very little, of that which we do not from a military stand point, but more a cultural shock stand point.

Why said of this? We will show, for wish to 'show' our allies, the same that have shown us the wonders we enjoy.

The Ascendants, the Angelics and Crysallians will accompany our delegation, consisting of my own Council Family, myself, my wives, and even to show our intent of peace, our children to by your guests, guests of the Kriovalan people.

If this shows well and good to your leaders, we will allow your nation to set the time table.

..and that our transport will be by far smaller means, unless noted otherwise.

The Ascendancy stands ready to begin a proper endeavor, as we intended all along.

Honored Regards and Open to All,

Lord Excellency Aleaic Kerensky

Lady First Excellency Tsunami Kerensky

Lady Second Excellency Arashi Kerensky

A message specifically to those nations at the Zeta Prime conference is received:

Dear Esteemed Leaders,

Krioval is pleased to announce the results of our economic expansion. Twenty systems, formerly controlled by the despotic theocracy of Crysalia (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=406087) (OOC: not a real nation - this links to the II thread) have renounced oppression and have joined Krioval. OOC: If anyone wants Hergiv to kill anybody, just give me a heads up. I'd hate to see a bomb go off somewhere important :)

IC:

Xenonier declares a state of not-caring very much. The Gaian ascendancy was perfectly acceptalbe in mannersisims and behaviour, although we don't like your brace of certain friends, we don't consider you a threat, thus far.

Either way, why go to Krioval, as they mistrust Neo Zeta far more than you. Somewhere neutral (OOC:Cough me cough) seems much more appropriate.

We still don't like Neo Zeta, considering that Heis has broken out again. That has not done wonders for our diplomacy.

Arkady Gregorovich, President Speaker of Xenonier.
