USSGK VS. The Merchant Guilds (Open RP)

German Kingdoms
13-03-2005, 21:09
OCC: This is the war that was started from "Political Roundup, troops mobilizing (Open RP)" I am going to take it after the Merchent Guilds has shot a human foot on German Kingdoms soil, and I will start with my post after that.

ICC:

President Summer aide comes running into his office with the foot.

"Sir sir, they have set a foot inside our borders!"

With his back turned to the aid, President Summer states "How many men do they have in their forces?"
"No sir, they actually have set a FOOT on our land."

President Summer turns around and see the bloody foot. He picks it up and growl. He threw the foot out the window where it hit an elderly woman on the head.

"Aide, get me the President of The Merchant Guilds, and gear up our troops. We are going to war."

OCC: Well I won't have the map until I go back to my apartment tonight. But I guess we can do the build up until I can get to my map.

ICC: Mr. Summer " Activate all troops and all military of the USSGK militatry! I want border patrol strengthen, and I was our aircraf to take to the skies! Contact my allies, and my top generals and tell them to meet me in the War Room!"

Mr. Summers goes into the bunker where theres a dark room with a large table. The large table has many chairs around it. On the table, the map of The Merchant Guilds. Generals and respesented of USSGK allies gather around the table. The build up has begun.

"Mr.President, the choice is yours ,War or No War?"asked the Kratloctostanian Secretary of war.

"We cannot allow this kind of Behaivor to continue, Declare war on USSKG. Get TMG on the Horn and ask them for a map of the USSKG So we can plan our attack. This could be a good time to get some international respect."Replied the President.

"Sir what units will you mobilize?"

"I Want the 4th,23rd,94th,and the 1st Regular Army divisions,the 9th and the 99th White Guard Division,the 1st Armored Batallion,and the 3rd Naval Battlegroup."

"Yes Sir."

If you want military information, see my factbook.

IC:

Two weeks after the declaration that the invasion was to mounted on the German Kingdoms, lines of Guild troops carrying their combat survival pack, ammunition and their Doomingslandian made weapons slung over their shoulders marched by century into the 'Neptune' Main Pen Complex on the Guild coast, before them stood the awesome sight of 'Reaver' class Submarine transports with their armoured fronts with the weapons intended to protect them as they beached themselves on German Kingdom's shore sticking out of their front like hairs.

There were 'Hercules' class Hunter-Killer Submarines in the adjoining docks, as well as a one or two of the new Submarine Carriers having their aircraft fitted to the sequence launching rails and their bellies loaded with munitions.

The men and women of the Legions saw men and women of the Ave Maria Legions being loaded into several of the Reavers, their jumpsuits and low-grade weaponry, the AK47 and the RPG. They knew all to well that these troops would be the first wave, sent to their deaths with the typical attitude that they were fully expendable, but then again they fought for salvation and a pardon from the Imperial Authorities and the Church. They were fodder for the guns, but many forces around the nationstates world had already learned to their cost, despite the fact they were poorly armed and equipped compared to the standard Legionnaire of the mythical 'Black Legions' of the Guilds, they were still to be feared, their zeal and willingness to accept horrific casualties as well as the fact their Commanders often pumped them full of steroids and psychotics before sending them 'over the top'.

In another two Reavers beside the four loading the Ave Maria Legionnaires, stood the silent Legionnaires of St. Luke, the Foreign Legions of the Guilds fighting for God, these troops were feared because of their fanatical obedience to the Emperor and their reputation for committing war crimes in the name of the Emperor and the Church, even more so than their Guild brothers and sisters.

Besides this, Guild Legionnaires guessed that at least one or two Armoured Legions would be joining them from their working up in Doomingsland with the military of Emperor Helldawg.

They already knew from the bantering and occasion brawling, which often occurred between the Imperial Air Legionnaires and the Imperial Army Legionnaires that three Air Legions and a Bomber Legion would be supporting their cause. German Kingdoms really must have pissed off the Emperor was the general thought about why they were fighting this new enemy, after all the Insurgency in Allania and the possible war brewing in distant lands, should be enough to keep the Imperial Guilder Military occupied for sometime.

They did not know what the Chief of Staff, General Paran and the Chief of Operations; General Vespasian had in store for the Heretics and Heathen's of German Kingdoms...

******************************************

Tens of miles from the German Kingdom's shores, Guild Naval Assets were gathering, Hunter-Killer Submarine Wolf packs were gathering, around 40 Submarines in all split into 8 Wolfpacks, they would hunt any enemy naval assets and convoys, Civilian or Military and sink them.

6 'Revelations' Class Missile Submarines had also arrived and were taking position in International waters off the coast of German Kingdoms, they would launch their cargo's of sunset missiles at targets identified by Templar dossiers on German Kingdoms and that which had been discovered by Templar Agents and 'Sword of Christ' teams...

As these assets lurked off the GK coast, several Hunter-Killer Submarines slunk silently into GK waters, they would be landing several Templar Agents, whom were fluent in the local language, wore the standard local dress and carried forged papers. Several 'Sword of Christ' units of 5 Legionnaires a piece would be put ashore by submarines, in order to spot for the Guild bomber legion and if possible infiltrate defenses and breach them as the Ave Maria Legions landed on the shore.

They would also attack installations close to the other possible sites for a landing to distract military attention from the main landing.

**********************************************

Deep in the mountains of the Guilds, Templar Computer Hacker teams, were attempting to crack German Kingdoms system security in order to bring their systems down whilst the Legions assaulted them.

Misinformation teams also from the Templar spread rumours on the Internet about possible landing sites and targets for the Guild assaults.

Also, thousands of dummies made to resemble humans were being loaded into 'Doombringer' transport planes to be dropped over GK to make it look as if a massive airborne invasion was under way.

***********************************************

All this was the brainchild of the enigmatic two Generals who commanded the Imperial Guild Military, Paran and Vespasian.

Republican Taskforce

A sense of anticipation had spread throughout the fleet as the huge Invasion of The German Kingdoms began to reach its climatic final preparation. Since this would be the first major operation to be conducted by the Republican Forces since the invasion of Hitlerreich, everything that could be checked was being checked, rechecked and finally checked again.

Throughout the fleet, on the decks of the Carriers and the long, flat decks of the Transport vessels, heavily-armed men and women, members of the 2nd Infantry Division were piling into heavily-armoured V-22 Ospreys. 24 soldiers, two squads, could fit into each Osprey, squeezing together. Armed with OICW's, M-16's and heavier support weapons like SAW's, AT-4's and 5's and humping parts of lightweight M-60's and even Field Mortars, these soldiers were the vanguard, the spearhead of the invasion. They would fly low, skimming the waves and, hopefully, land relatively unscathed behind the German Kingdom defences, all three Battalions.

However, they would not be alone. Along with the Ospreys were hundreds of F-18's, and A-10 Warthogs that were to fly suppression missions, fending off fighters and suppressing the inevitable SAM batteries and AAA's that would try and down the fragile, boxy transports. Other help came in the form of suppression aircraft like AWAC aircraft and radar-suppression aircraft that would do their best to confuse and nullify the defensive capabilities of the enemy defences.

Finally, the navy had their part. More than one hundred Tomahawk Missiles had been prepared, uploaded with the latest GPS data and targeted against the Radar sites, SAM Batteries and other defences like bunkers, gun positions and artillery positions. Carrier planes would also aid suppression, accompanying the transports and protecting them as best they could.

Finally, they were ready. Only a single command restrained them from unleashing their full forces on the enemy...

Knowing that its vulenrability is its shores. President Summer has halted all immigration and emmigration of its citizens. Ships carrying immigrants are turned back and German Kingdoms Shore are being heavily guarded. Also construction of heavy machinery are taking places on the shores. Shores are being lined with barbed wires, land mimes, and wooden croses. Barracks are now lining the shores. German Kingdoms spy planes are flying over The Merchant Guilds and is feeding real time information back to The War Room.

"We shall attack here, here, and here." "I want their militatry airport and civillian airport bombed. But bomb them at night. All aircraft are to maintain radio and sight silence (no lights) when they are over International Waters and over the Merchent Guilds territory." Says President Summer

The Navy commander, General Zummer comes in. "Sir there are activites off our shores. Sonars are coming back strong."

"What is it?" asked President Summer

"We do not know, all we know that its man made." replied General Zummer

"Send 2 subs out to destory whatever is out there." says President Summer

Then the militatry commander General Pfeiffer and Air Force commander General Webster showed President Summer the aircraft survillence photos and footage.

"Hmmm, so that is where their bases and airports are. Ok, I want 3 B-52 bombers sent out. Have them follow their route. The route I have come up with will destory most of their militatry base and airport."

General Webster chimed in "Sir, some of these airports are civillian."

"So, if we don't destory them, the Guilds can use them to launch their attacks from!" said President Summer

However abscent from the War Room was USSGK allies.

OOC: Where are my allies? I thought I had some.

Meanwhile the Capital Canal is closing its water tight gates. Gunman position are being posted all along the canal. The Capitol is also being surrounded by barb wires, and heavy metal construction. Land minds are also being planted around the capitol.

At the Air Force Base, the last of the bombs are being loaded into the B-52 and are preparing for take off. President Summer is confident that these high altitude bombers cannot be reached. The blanket bombing of The Merchent Guilds has begun.

GK first of all, please remember to read the factbook. Almost all of my installations are underground... so you're going to be hitting some quite minor stuff. Like my Bombers return landing airfields and

Second, I'll allow the spy planes but be careful of RPing stuff over people's territory, which is why I didn't RP my landing SF and Agents yet, to give you a chance to respond.

Third, allow this maybe intentional but do you realise your B-52's won't do anything since there are 3 of them?

President Summer: "Ok, well my advise to you would to wage war on one of Merchent Guilds allies. Also, is there any way you can bring in some of your allies into this? German Kingdoms need all of the allies they can get right now, even indirect one. We have a way to wage war on the main target, which is the Merchant Guild, but no way to wage war on its allies."

"30 Seconds!" Said the Driver of one of the Higgins Boats blazing toward the shore of the USSGK."God be with you!"

"Alright men, keep your guns out of the sand, make sure you stay loaded and if you run out of ammo.....take some from the dead." Said Captain Veckortizs Commander of a Company of Assault Troops preparing to assault the Beach codenamed Zulu on the Western Shore.

"10 Seconds!!!' said the driver.
"Watch out for mines.Keep your heads down!" reminded the Captain to his men.
One of the men,Sargeant Minner puked with the Anexity of his first battle.

"God,I'm nervous. How about you Vorchesky?"
"Me too man,I hope you make it."Replied Private Vorchesky.

"Clear the ramp!"Said the driver who was killed seconds later by a rifle bullet to the head.

"Let's Go!" Yelled the Captain as he ran off the transport into withering machine gun fire.

The 1st and 99th White Guard Legions had sent their Assault Infantry to make a beachhead to land the rest of the army and the armor.
The Navy had shelled the beach before hand to try and soften up the defenses but the USSGK Soldiers had held up well and were fighting to push the Krat soldiers back.

Bullets wizzed over Sargeant Minner's Head as he ran headlong into the bullets, men all around him were falling as his company tried to make its way to the enbankment to destroy the machine gun nests.

They ran up and dove for the saftey of the Enbankment and the shellholes created by the Ships off shore.

"Minner, throw a frag into that nest and take those men out!" Captain Veckortizs Ordered the Sargeant.

"Yes Sir!" he said as he chucked a nade toward the nest, killing its operators.
"Damn good job Sargeant!" Said the Captain

The Captain and his men, along with the Other thousands of troopsassaulting the beach made steady progress..

"Incoming!" Yelled a soldier as a frag was thrown into his squad, killing nearly everyone around and wounding the others.

Private Vorchesky and Sgt.Minner continued to advance into the machine gun nests, taking out three.

Vorchesky was killed by the machinegun nests along with many others, but by the end of the day,the beach was under Krat control.

"They are on the Western shores sir." says General Pfeiffer.

President Summer lets out a sigh. "Tell Ftagn to send over bombers, and troops to the Western Shores. We will dispact the rest of our B-52s to the Western Shores, tell our citizen to stay inside."

Captain John was doing pre-take off check in the B-52 that was heading to the Western Shores. "We need to push them back, and I hope that Ftagn can come soon." Co-pilot Sean replies "Are the loads ready?" "Yes, we will do a carpet bombing run on the West Shores. This should be enough to push them back."

Two B-52s take off and heads for the Western Shores. They are part of the new air defense program created by President Summer. As they come close to the Western Shores Captain John, announced "10 minutes to drop." The B-52s are going to carpet bomb the invading army.

The Falcon Army 101st divison and 102st divison are approaching from the north. From the east the 103st and 104st approaches. Finally from the South, the Falcon Guards. Hails of gun fires and bomb dropping starts pushing Kratloctostan armies back to the Western Shores. General Henery, Pfeiffer, and Captain Long are yelling commands at the troops. The troops movements entraps the Kratloctostan army, where theres only one way out. The shores.

While the shore land may have caught them off guard, they are now fighting back.

"Personally, I think defence should be our priority. Counter-attacks can happen later, after we've repelled their initial assaults. Do you have a missile net? Anti-air defences? I'll get my troops to set up some missile bases."

President Summer "We are currently working on a top secret project. The project name is Project Eagle. This will be our anti-missile, and anti-air defense. I want you to set up bases on the Northern, and Eastern Shores. My men are fighting back on the Western shores, and we'll guard the Southern shores. You know the Western Shores was the only one that didn't have the new turret guns on them. The rest 3 do. I still urge you to bring in your allies."

"Alright, I'll dispatch the 3rd, 5th, and 6th Legions to guard the eastern shores. The 9th legion and the Vexilliarus will set up along the north. I can't give you much air support though, our first aircraft carrier hasn't yet come online. I'll take my Legion (The Black Legion) to help push back Kratloctostan."

There was a sense of excitement among the Vexilliarum. No matter how many times you go into battle, it never gets old. Legate Aurellius sat in the tent advising his officers. "I want the rail gun set up there", he pointed to a point about 2 miles up the beach on the map," And set up the missile sites and nests along the hills here." "Yes sir!"
He gazed down the beach, where Legionnaires were already hard at work, envisioning the carnage to come. Now all I have to do is wait for them to come, he thought, laying back.

OOC: I'd advise staying on the Defensive if I were you. I am bringing my RPing style down a bit because of how this is being fought (i.e. no preparation posts), since this has been jumped straight in I won't be doing my agent insertion.

Oh btw, GK since you've got a 14 million man army, they will be basically equipped conscripts with a small trained and well armed core I assume (No they won't be good soldiers, too many of them in the main).

Please make sure you don't over RP your military numbers and tech, remember I will not conquer you, so keep it relatively realistic in terms of that, thanks.

Secret IC:

The gloom of the Crucible deep in the heart of the Guilds was highlighted by the glow of the Holographic strategic map, around the map table were gathered the two senior personalities of the Imperial Guilder Military, Generals Paran and Vespasian, among them a myriad of other Officers of varying ranks ran around sorting things out, the top brass had taken time out their various other commitments to personally supervise the inclusion of German Kingdoms into the Empire.

Paran looked up from the progress of their allies landing was becomming apparent. Holographic Red icons showed Guild naval and air naval assets either heading towards or sitting waiting for their attack orders. Blue marked their allies fleets as Skinny87 forces began approaching their ordered landing zones and the Kratloctostanii forces making headway on their landing beaches.

Paran grinned... and said:

It's going to plan Quintus, issue instructions to the 2nd Bomber Legion to burn the heretics and heathens Capital to the ground, order the 'Angelics' to launch their planes and order the 4th,9th and 27th Air Legion to gain air superiority over German Kingdoms and their ground aircraft are to strafe anything they regard as dangerous, especially airfields. The Legions will wait til the Skinny87 and Kratoctostanii forces have sucked in the majority of the re-enforcements then we will land here and here as a series of diversions and the main force will land here, indicating points on the holographic map.

The Revelations are to launch Thermite Sunset missiles at coastal cities, I want them and their populations burnt to a crisp, no resistance to the Empire, ever.

Order General Paulitus at Guild Ballistic Missile Command to have Catergory II MRM Thermite Warheads on stand by, we may need them if our allies have problems on their beachheads, we will burn the German Kingdom scum in the fires of hell to let our glorious allies through.

Standard orders, all prisoners of war are to be enslaved or shot, civilian population are for enslavement and the Government officals are to be retained for public execution at the Grand Imperial Colleseum. No mistakes the Emperor has ordered it, we will bring German Kingdoms into the Empire and we will cleanse their impure souls and bodies in the name of God and his Church.

Vespasian looked at his old friend, he well understood these were the political orders of the Emperor and Paran's own preferences had been disregarded here for politics and religion.

As the Emperor orders then

He replied in a tone that reflected the Guild's landscape, cold and icy.

IC:

Beyond German Kingdoms coast the 2nd Bomber Legion began it's descent to distance it's huge black aircraft obvious against the sky flying with rows of small sleak Black Long range fighters covering them in their mass formations as they slunk in from the west towards the Capital.

Well in the distance either side formations of Air Legion fighters and ground attack craft flying in small formations of six craft each with a further split of three sets of two self protecting wingmen.

The wave of Black would soon hit the Western shores of German Kingdoms, and it was pretty obvious were going... the Capital...

*******************************************

Outside German Kingdoms Territorial waters in three different locations the water was broken by several sets of missiles fountaining up from just underneath the water surface, these missiles were sheet black and carried the Wolves Head, the Insignia of the Guild Military on them. They lifted off in waves arching towards their targets... three major settlements of German Kingdoms would suffer 8 Thermite Sunset Missiles each... they would release the Thermite plasma above their target points causing firestorms throughout the cities...

At the Eastern side of German Kingdoms off the end of the penisula being assaulted by Kratloctostanii troops, three strange submersible vessels popped up, they had a strange looking almost helicopter paddish flight deck and cones leading down in the bowels of the large sheet black vessels. The cones slowly began to open, revealing aircraft noses, these were taxied by pilots already seated within. Once they got out of the cones, their wings began to fold out... after a minute or two of running preparations and clearing away the odd bits of obstructive seaweed by Blue jumpsuited crew, who had jogged out of a series of doors leading to the deck. The craft had begun lifting off vertically and heading off towards the land, they were hunting for re-enforcement columns and any other target they could lay their hands on, civilian or military...

The stage was set for great sorrow to occur...

The JDS Miho Shirayuki steamed quietly off, and under, the coast of North City; her crew still had no real idea what to call the population center at the northern tip of the German Kingdoms and no one on the crew knew enough German to come up with “North City” in the country’s native tongue. She and her sister ship, the Maho, had been dispatched from Davenport to provide the German Kingdoms with requisite persuasion to call off their culling of dissidents. When it became clear that a bigger storm was brewing, their mission had switched to keeping tabs on the situation as it unfolded on the mainland.

Which brought Captain Richard Harding to his current task. He and his crew had been given the task of finalizing the assault preparations for Operations Marketplace, should they be required. And, with Task Force Celeste within striking distance, the time for action had come.

He felt the upward pitch of the sub level off; that meant they’d reached one-hundred feet of depth, where the communications buoy could be deployed. From there, it was a report to Task Force Celeste’s flagship on the situation, and then waiting for the call on whether there would be attack and, if so, what his ship would be required to do.

===

“...naval presence negligible...minimal air defenses...bulk of forces appear to have been redeployed south...”

Those were what the crew on the bridge of JDS Natan Sharansky could make out from the hushed transmission the CO and the flag officers of the fleet were having with the captain of the Miho. From what they heard, they could guess what was next. They were going to do what they had come to.

So when the orders came to begin for Operation Marketplace, no one was surprised.

===

All hands to stations! All hands to stations! This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill!

General quarters rang throughout the Miho and Maho as word came back from the fleet that the assault was on. The clanging of chains and the grunting of men soon echoed from inside each ship, as Type 112 Roguefeather cruise missiles were loaded into the ships’ forward and vertical launch tubes. Then, when the ships reached launch depth, the button was pressed...

===

Lance Corporal Jacob Sequest could see the explosions contrast with the night sky in the distance in what he could only assume was now a dark North City. The bombardment from the fleet had targeted the electrical grid first; he suspected that communications were next. At least that’s what he would have done had he been wearing stars on his shoulders.

“Leader, this is Scout; ridge is clear,” he reported back, prone from a small sand ridge that overlooked deeper into Germanic territory. He had been the last man to report in; with him calling in that the perimeter of Landing Site Alpha on the western shore of North City, the main movement of men and material could now begin.

Very soon he could hear another explosion, but of a different sort. A half-dozen purring diesel engines, as the first of his company’s mechanized was delivered; from the sound, he guessed Centaurs and Cougars. When he turned to see four IFVs and two APCs, he felt vindicated.

They were finally getting off this damn beach.

===

As dawn broke, the landing forces at Landing Site Alpha and those of its twin, Beta, on the eastern shore, began to push southward deeper into the German Kingdoms, with the goal of meeting up south of the city.

Simultaneously, as heavier troops were landing in the secured landing sites, another thrust from the west would begin into the city proper and start working southward; after the reunification of the original landing forces, they would push northward into the city and the two forces would, with luck, meet in the center.

They’d succeeded in taking the enemy by surprise. Now, they thought, they’d win by skill.

Stats can be provided upon request and should further explanations of any and all things listed will be provided if needed. I know some of it’s a little shoddy, especially the naval presence, but writing up my navy hasn’t been all that high on my priority list of late; getting a functioning army written down has been hard enough. Rough sketches of naval forces can be provided, though, should they be needed.

All I saw was "Northern Shore", which was in the context of the "Western Shore" of the peninsula/bay area/thingy near the capital where Kathachafhgafgagata was landing his forces. So I assumed it was towards the northern shores of the inner bay, not the northern shores of the country.

If I was wrong, as I probably am, just tell me and I'll go back and rewrite that entrance. Alternately, you could take my forces pushing in-land by surprise, as all they're really expecting is poorly trained forces with the analogues of T-55s/64s/72s.]

The Legionnaires waited silently as Juumanistran troops moved swiftly up the beach. "Wow, I thought we had done a good job with the camouflaging, but I didn't think we were this good.", A legionnaire whispered to his loader.
Aurellius watched the enemy moving up the beach.

"Wait for it...Wait for it...", he murmured. Moments later, a Juumanistran soldier tripped into a concealed pillbox and started yelling.

"Vexilliarum, ATTACK!!" roared Aurellius.

Suddenly the night was lit up by the stacatto lights of muzzle-flares and tracer rounds. Missiles streaked down from the ridge up the beach and impacted into Juumanistran ranks.

"Death to the enemies of the Emperor!"

There was a loud boom as the light rail gun began shelling the Juumanistra fleet off the coast.

BTW: this is the beach to the west, a similar thing is happening on the eastern side but without the rail gun and with less troops.

Water kicked up and sloshed along the flight deck of JDS Xaviar MacArthur. They called this negligible naval defense? If it were the case, real naval defenses would certainly be a sight to behold. At any rate, the chief operations center for Operation Marketplace was taking fire and something had to be done, sooner rather than later.

“All ahead full!” rang out throughout the fleet as the MacArthur turned to put some distance between them and whatever was shelling them. It was only hoped that the MacArthur would survive long enough to get out of range.

A fireball engulfed the nearby waters. The JDS Phil Gramm had, unfortunately, managed to take catch one of those shells, which had ripped through its armor like tissue paper. That prompted another cry to ring out across the Juumanistran communications lines; stop that gun!

===

“Chamber round!” Staff Sergeant David Howls barked. His order was followed with the precise movements of endless hours of training. “Fire!”

The 105mm gun on his Libra roared. These mobile little guns certainly weren’t the biggest around, but they were certainly the best for these kinds of fast landings. He barked the orders again; the gun roared. And so he would repeat, until he had expended he ran out of ammunition.

===

The grunts of men filled the air as men of the 98th Regiment unhitched their JTA-105 light howitzers from the JMA-105s that towed them. The 98th hadn’t gotten much attention yet as the enemy on the far ridge had thrown most its firepower at the J2000s and Centaurs, leaving them unmolested to setup their guns closer to the beach. And, soon enough, the entire regimental battery had been established and with one grand retort the remaining JMA- and JTA-105s joined in the bombardment of the enemy’s position.

===

Jacob Sequest squatted beneath the burning wreckage of a R-1. He mad a mental note to himself; never, ever use the word “clear” again. Ever. Assuming he lived through this, his squadmates would never let him live this little boondoggle down.

To reinforce that previous point, a heavy machine began to bark, spraying bullets and kicking up dirt in his general vicinity. He pressed himself tighter against the wreckage he using for cover and, as it strafed away, he rolled to left to the small firing point he had carved for himself, quickly taking aim and squeezing off a three-round burst from his T3R.15.

That the gun fell silent a few seconds later was proof enough to him that he hadn’t missed.

===

Following the initial burst of surprise and confusion, the whole of the 33rd Expeditionary Brigade had managed to find its footing. This was the sort of thing that they drilled for constantly and, as was becoming apparent, they were facing largely infantry. The guns of the bigger JBT-14A4s hadn’t been silenced; their 120mm cannons continued to bring fire to bear, as did the 105mm guns on the J2000s and R-1s. Of even more importance, their 20mm autocannons and .50 cal machine guns had begun to exact their toll upon the enemy. Having regained a modicom of cohesion, it was time for the counterattack, which was spearheaded by 982nd Mechanized Battalion.

It was time to end this.

===

On the other side of the city, the counterattack was already well underway and the enemy’s true demeanor was beginning to become apparent; an infantry-based force in the face of a well-trained and equipped armored force.

None of the instructors at the Academy would have put money on the opposition in this case.

Here’s where I enter that really nebulous part of roleplaying. I’m not entirely sure if that crosses the godmodding line; I don’t think so, but I’ve been wrong in the past. An entrenched infantry force, no matter how well entrenched or trained(which doesn’t really matter in this instance, as I’d argue Juumanistran forces are equally well-trained if not moreso), cannot stand against an armored force of roughly equal size for long without being overrun. But, as said, I’m not sure if that enters godmod territory or not.

[Well, it's not all tanks; hell, the only thing that'd be considered a tank by most of NS would be the JBT-14, which is the Juumanistran analog to the Merkava IV. It's a light armored force designed for actually doing things like this, as opposed to most of NS's SOP which is "my big honkin' armored vehicles roll ashore and pwn j00" if they even bother RP landing.

And there's the fact that you've also got fifty-some-odd artillery pieces to deal with. That also can't be good for an all infantry group. ^^;;]

As the Border Patrol look at the dark waters. They notice something strange. They get into the tower and look through the scopes. There are rows of missiles, aimed at targets on German Kingdoms soil. "We must alert the Navy!" exclaim the bordersman.

As the missiles stood there in the waters. 3 GK Submarines sneaks in. "Ok we are going to strike the support system and command module." Says Captain Yeger. "Torpedo one and two are locked into the tubes sir!" says a sailor.
"Fire one NOW!"

Torpedo One fires off into one of the four support system and an explosion is heard. Meanwhile on another Sub. "Ok we are going to take out the Control Module." Says Captain Randolph "Tube One is loaded with Torpedo 2X." Says sailor Johnstan. "Excellent, fire Torpedo NOW!" Torpedo 2X fires into the Control Module and a firey explosion is heard. Submarine three stands on guard while the operation takes place. As the final support system is taken out, the missile aimed at German Kingdoms slowly floats. But its not the end of it. A Militatry grade cargo ships moves in, and within an hour, retrieves the missiles aimed at GK. "Excellent, we can use these on them!" says Captain Zimmer as he takes a puff from his cigar. Escorted by 2 destroyers, the cargo ships moves out and back to base. The final job is left up to a third destoryer, which drops depth charges and destroyes the suken compound."

Off the cost of the Eastern Side, Battleship Dukas is sailing across the coast, when it spots the strange machines. However the Battleships doesn't stop, it just keeps on going. Why would they stop? Do they have a plan? What is there plan? Something is afoot aboard the Battleship.

A New Nuclear Submarine moves into place. It has been produce during the war, and this is its first mission. In the War Room President Summer and ftagn waits in silent. Aboard the sub, crews are also silent. They are now on radio silent. Torpedo tubes has already been loaded up. the drivers set up the sub to aim at the hull and middle of the ship. They will only get one shot to do this right. What felt like hours, were minutes. Torpedo ones fires and its a hit into the the hull of the craft. the submarines quickly turns to the middle of the ship, it fires off its second torpedo, a slightly off target shot, but it will do. The sub quickly turns around and moves out to international water. It will take a long route back to base so that it cannot be tracked.

North City Regional Airport, as those in the 8th Urban Division had taken to calling it, was starting to come to life again following the raising of the Juuamnistran flag over it. The place, prior to the arrival of the vanguard of Juumanistra’s forces, was largely empty. A few private planes here and there and a single three-engine commercial liner were all that they had found. A few of the grunts said it looked like a DC-10, but none could really say for sure.

That the biggest concern at the moment was identifying a mystery commercial jet suited Brigadier General Qwenn just fine. His command, the 44th Brigade, had spearheaded the push into the city and had seized the airport with minimal difficulty; another of his battalions had secured most of the Waterfront, as well, opening the way for real reinforcements.

That thought made him smile. He’d feel safer having a few dozen Minotaurs around.

===

Strike Flight roared over the beaches at Landing Site east of North City. The four Nu-41 fighter-bombers had been scrambled from the Sharansky to find and eliminate the battery that had begun shelling the MacArthur and that had taken the lives of the men on the Gramm.

“Strike One, this is Three, I’ve got something,” the pilot fo the third plane rattled off a series of coordinates, “got what appears to be large howitzer being serviced by a platoon or so of enemy troops; appears to be in the rough area of one of the potential shelling points and reports of grunts hearing a loud electric ‘whirring’ sound out of that area of the front “

Strike One banked to port to see; just as the cannon belched out another round at the MacArthur.

As he dropped his two 250kg satellite-guided bombs on howitzer and its crew, he knew the rest of his flight was doing the same. Given he’d seen what happened to artillery pieces after being hit by even one of those bombs...

It was all he could do to keep from saying “us one, them none” out loud.

Hey I said I wasn't good at RPing. and as for stuff appearing out of no where, I didn't see under water missiles anywhere in your fact book. Also it is a known fact that stuff do appear out of no where in war time. Its called the war machine. Which creates new equipment new arms etc. I'm sorry if I'm wasting your precious "RPing" time, but your acting like a spoil brat because i destory your missile and ship before you were able to use them, sorrrrrryyy.

Well if your pulling out, then so am I. We'll just call this an uneasy truce.

OOC: If I've got this wrong, then I apologise, but I'm sure I am invading the northern, right-hand section of the German Kingdoms. Here goes:

Republican Carrier Vengeance

The telescripter next to Admiral Warren whirred breifly, and a teletext came spitting out of it like a fax. Picking it up, he read it and frowned, before turning to his staff.

'Gentlemen, President Martin just gave us the orders. The Spear-head launches immediately'. As soon as the order was given, the taskforce sprang into a well-rehearsed series of actions. Sirens blared, decks were cleared, and the Ospreys were launched off of the Carrier and Troopship decks, heading for the northern coast of the German Kingdoms.

It was an amazing sight for those on the ships of the taskforce, as hundreds of Ospreys lifted off the decks in a flurry of howling wind, and turbines screaming, skimmed the waves, accompanied by their escorts who began sheparding their fragile cargoes.

Onboard one of the leading Ospreys, Private Ray Waters, riflemen first-class of 3rd Squad, 3rd Company of the 1st Battalion 2nd Infantry Division, tried to crouch down even further onto the floor of the Osprey as it skimmed the clear blue waters just inches away. Looking around the transport, he could see that others of his squad were doing the same, crouching down, checking their weapons and generally trying to remain calm in the midst of such organised chaos.

Waters took his cue from the female soldier sitting next to him, and pulled out a magazine from his pocket and tapped it lightly on his head, hearing a reassuring 'thunk' that told him the magazine was fully loaded. Reassured, he clipped the magazine into his M-16 and made sure it was ready to fire, taking the safety off but pointing it out of the open door. Looking out, he saw dozens of other Ospreys, the nearest one holding 1st squad, containing his best friend, Declan. Seeing Declan, Waters put down his M-16 and waved furiously, grinning as Declan waved back.

Then, without warning, Declan's Osprey exploded into a fierce flaming ball as GK defences opened up, and Waters was hit by several fragments of the Osprey; picking up his M-16 Waters held it in a death-grip, seeing more and more helicopters blown out of the sky before the saw the landing zone. As the helicopters hit the ground, Waters jumped out and prayed to God he would survive...

I don't think I was godmodding. I didn't explode his whole army, or make up silly claims, or anything like that. I kept everything realistic. If anyone is Godmodding its Merchant, hes the one with underground airports, and airplanes that just flies out of the ship through cones. Also the under water missile was kind of silly.

As for the peace treaty,

My demands is Merchant and its allies to regonize the Soicalist status of the nation, and I want RPing lessons, since everyone seems to think I suck at this, even I do.

In return, I will relase the political prisoners, and allow a two party sytem in my government. I will stop the mass movements of troops and reopen my borders and canal.

Also I want an alliance with ftagn. German Kingdom will assist him with any militatry combat, and will open trade to him.

In response to the proposed ceasefire, Juumanistra refuses. These half-measures only reward the repressive Socialist party for its actions and are thus laughable. We shall not withdraw until such time as a status quo antebellum is reestablished or otherwise a freely and fairly elected government is put into place by people of the German Kingdoms.

To that end, Juumanistra has arranged for all territory under its jurisdiction the German Kingdoms to be turned into a political free zone for the German Kingdoms; election of a provisional government and the return of normalcy shall commence soon after within the territories.

Juumanistra demands a return to the political status quo before Preisdent Summers began troop mobilizations and the round-up of dissidents. To that end, that includes the reinstation of all those of opposition parties who were removed in the run up to the conflict. Should the repressive government of the German Kingdoms find that too disgusting, new free, fair and competitive elections would suffice.

Alternately, if the government steadfastly refuses to have the common decency as to let the people decide their fate, we could just set up Port Liberty as an independent state and let all those who find Socialist rule distasteful emigrate there. We've gotten a very positive reaction to that suggestion within the territories that would constitute the core of such a state, at least.

If we return the political status quo, then that means we can't be a socialist nation, we'll have to go back to being a Demoracy nation. The parties are being re-instated, however with restriction. The restriction are on social issues. On the social issues, the government can only vote on what will be better for the people. We are shooting for true equality in the social sphere of our country, that is why we became socialist.
