Soldiers from the 5th, 6th, 8th, 11th, and 13th Fallschirmjäger crossed over from the German border into France and Benelux to secure the massive lands.
The purchase was made officially after long discussion with the previous owner, Layarteb. It was agreed upon that a strong, centralized Germanian land would benefit both nations much more than both nations having scattered lands.
Fire fights have been reported between supporters of the former Vermin government and Fallschirmjäger troops. Germanian soldiers have confirmed the deaths of over forty-five Vermin nationalists in a fire fight still being battled outside of Paris.
However, Germanian tanks have encircled and closed off the city, preventing any enemy insurgents from further threatening the Germanian forces currently present.
The soldiers representing the former government are clearly quite poorly-trained, almost acting on their own will. However, it is estimated that at the current attrition rate for the insurgents, and the fact that they have no reinforcements, that they will either surrender or be defeated within less than a week's time.
