"I, King von Fragden I, hearby announce the existance of my Kingdom, Franz Sudenland. Colonised by Austro-Hungarians, this land is poor and barely scrapes an existance. Very men people in my country do not have enough food to eat or water to drink, and tensions are high between my Austro-Hungarian decended advisors and I and the native lower classes. I hope that the international community will help my Kingdom and I crawl our way out of poverty and into a well rounded nation capable of supporting itself."

OOC - Wow. Someone started off poor. Congrats to you, hero!
IC:
The Soviet Government, upon viewing the situation in Franz Sudenland and also knowing the fact Hogsweat is under attack, presents this to Franz Sudenland -
We can fix all of Franz Sudenlands problems. It's people can be rich and prosperous, it's lands beautiful and it's skies clear. However, in return for fixing the poverty problems in Franz Sudenland we must ask that the nation of Franz Sudenland becomes a protectorate of the Soviet Union of Hogsweat. This will entail -
+The FS Government being in control of the nation, but all major actions will be turned over to the Soviet Parliamentary Government in Franz Sudenland. We will allow you to keep your current government, democracy and king. We will not impose extra taxes on FS.
+FS will have improved trade abilities as the Soviet Union of Hogsweat is a respected member of the International Community.
+We will keep two military bases in FS, one airbase and one ground base, holding a squadron of aircraft and two infantry regiments, respectively.
We hope you accept our generous deal.

"I express my thanks to you, noble Hogsweatians in being prepared to spend the time of day finding solutions to the problems of less economically developed nations, but I am afraid I must decline. Us Austro-Hungarians were once a proud people, and I am not yet ready to sign over the sovereignty of my destitute country. We would heartily accept aid and a firm alliance with Hogsweat, although I fear that a Communist nation would not be all that suited to alliship with a Monarchy."

For the attention of King von Fragden I of Sudenland.

Dear sire,

Your nations plight has been brought to our attention and we must confess that our hearts, and thus our coffers, have been moved. Though we disapprove of the concept of Monarchism and the sufferings of social inequality, we recognise that life is Gods most precious gift and that we would be monsters if we were to stand by and permit the suffering of millions for our own political reasons. Thus we are prepared to begin the daily shipping of foodstuffs to the Kingdom of Franz Sudenland and other aid, this we can discuss at length. Our offer comes with no strings nor traps, we ask only for a lasting friendship between our two great nations.

Yours in solidarity,

Madam Calymath,
Chair of the Privy Council,
Guardian of the peace,
Warden of Momanguise.

"The nations of Jamum and Momanguise are great indeed! You offer freidnship and expect none in return, and that warms my heart. I will graciously accept all aid on behalf of my people, and invite you to help ensure it is distributed fairly. I should warn you, however, that my armed forces have but the most tenuous grip on the nation, and I cannot accept responcibility for attacks on your aid workers outside of the major cities and well trodden roads."

For the attention of King von Fragden I of Sudenland.

Dear sire,

We thank you for your earnest response, it is an benevolent ruler indeed who cannot stand the sight of his people in destitution. We will begin the shipments of grain and other essentials post haste, time, after all, is of the essence.

As to the issue of security. It saddens us indeed to learn of instability and violence that may hamper the vital tasks of aid work and of construction, and we are looking at many possibilities that may help us tackle this problem. Any situation that allows only for partial aid distribution is unacceptable, after the people, any people, are worthy of life and a decent standard of life. Therefore, if you Highness is agreeable, we would be willing to send a small contingent of peace keepers who would assist and protect the reconstruction of Sudenland.

We await your reply with genuine anticipation,

Madam Calymath,
Chair of the Privy Council,
Guardian of the peace,
Warden of Momanguise.

Sorkovia
12-03-2005, 14:53
His Majesty King von Fragden I,

Upon receiving word of your outward denunciation of Communism, President Bezkowski has ordered direct aid to be put fully behind your cause. Sorkovia has been ravaged by the tyrannous rule of the Soviet Communists and wishes to pledge assistance to your nation state immediately.

As a sovereign nation now, Sorkovia has found it increasingly difficult to stabilise an economy and empathetically identifies with the situation your people have found themselves in.

Upon your word, arrangements regarding aid will be put into action.

Yours faithfully,

Jerzy Towlewski

Minister of Foreign Affairs
