Of all the nations within the galactic empire, none intregued the Borg Collective of BLACKGRUE more then the nanotech army. Their kinship as collective consiousness could prove the foundation of a powerful alliance. They thus decided to arrange a meeting.

The Diamond class-D-1478282 (the very same one that discovered mantika) and it's 2 demonspike escorts slowly slipped into Nanotech army space. They used a universal translator wave to transmit their messege as 10,000 voices in unison cried out: "We are the Borg Collective of Blackgrue. We seek peaceful relations with the nanotech army. We wish to improve ourselves to achieve perfection... from what we understand you seek a similar goal."

We are the Nanotech Army of the Protectorate. We seek to bring perfect order to the universe. You bring order to the universe. We bring order to the universe. We should bring order to the universe together. We shall send you an escort fleet.

The Protectorate dispatches Beta Fleet to the Borg Ships' position, making sure to keep power to the weapon systems minimal.

Seeing that the threat level was now negligible, the demonspikes entered the gate's transwarp conduit.

The diamond was VERY careful to only have it's engines and sensors activated. They didn't even have their ablative armor on.

"As you wish. The diamond class vessel will follow your escort fleet, the demonspikes will return to collective territory."

The Protectorate ships quickly reach the Borg ship and take up positions around it.

Follow these ships and they shall take you to a Protectorate world at the specified coordinates. You can then send a representative to the specified coordinates on the planet.

The Protectorate was moving much faster than it normally did when dealing with new species. The main reason for this was because the Omnipresence had heard of these Borg from the people that He had Integrated and knew that they would not harm Him unless He provoked it, or at least He hoped.

Meanwhile, on the planet in question, the Omnipresence assembled a group of nanites into a human-form nanobot that would serve as His ambassador.

The diamond glided gently into orbit and beamed a queen onto those coordinates.

She saw the nanites forming and knew from preliminary information that it was their omniprescence creating an ambassidor. "I am Borg Queen unit: 3953462 of the borg collective of blackgrue. I am one of many who can claim 'I am the one who is many'. I am here to act as an ambassidor for our two collectives."

The nanites finished forming the Ambassador and the Omnipresence set up the buffer zone between it and Himself. The Ambassador then spoke in the same language as the queen had, "I shall represent the Protectorate in our talks. Please explain your goals and culture and what it is that you seek from the Protectorate."

The queen nodded and spoke simply. "Once we were flawed, weak, chaotic... organic... But we then learned to incorperate the synthetic and now we use both to seek perfection. As for our goals, we wish to improve quality of life for all species. By incorperating other beings into our collective we bring them that much closer to perfection... and in the process by incorperating their biological and technological disictiveness into our own, we ourselves become closer to perfection."

"Yes, we can see that you are not purely organic and act in a much more orderly way. We have a similar philosophy or incorporating the knowledge and technology of other species into our own, thus giving us a better ability to create order. Those who are chaotic who cannot be controlled are destroyed while those that can are kept under controll and allowed to live."

The borg queen smiled "So we are in agreement that each of our technological distictiveness should be cross-incorperated to achieve our relitve goals. If I may be so bold I'd also like to propose a mutual military protection treety."

"Agreed, we shall share technologies with each other and we should protect each other from the forces of chaos. Prepare for data exhange."

The Borg queen expanded her subspace tranciever's functionality so's to act as a bridge between the Nanotech Army's Omniprescence and the Borg Collective's. For a brief moment, the collectives touched each other and they each had detailed plans of each other's technologies.

The queen smiled at one little obscure notation in one of the plans. "You have some unincorperated sentients... I'd hate to impose, but if it's not too much trouble could we have a few of them?"

The Omnipresence felt the prescence of the Borg Collective during the brief contact, and during that moment learned more about them than He could have in 100 years of talking.
"Yes we have organics who were allowed to live for one reason or another. We have no need for them you may have as many as you wish. Be warned, however, as some have undergone Integration which leaves the organic mind nearly destoyed."

"We'd erase an organic mind shortly after assimilation anyways... A larger vessel better suited for assimilation duties will be here shortly. Please do not consider it's appearance a hostile act."

In space a cube exited a transwarp conduit and orented itself to beam the drones-to-be aboard the ship.

"Very well then, we shall 'prepare' the organics for Assimilation. Is there anything else that you would like to discuss?"

The Omnipresence began processing the enormous amount of data that had been transfered through the brief link. Much of the Protectorate forces slowed down as it was processed.
