A crowd of people numbering around two million had gathered in the city center of the capital. Lord Hiei soon to be President Hiei was going to give his victory speech. It was going to be short and to the point.

Hiei walked onto the stage and he got a great reception. After that he started his short speech.


" Today is a great day for the people of Neo Zeta. You have picked me to be president. I will work to togather with our emperor to expaned Neo Zetas rule. We will become a super power in the stars. Our Empire will be known by all and its name said with great fear. I will make sure the you the people get all of your needs. You will know the meaning of rich and powerful. With a great empire comes the need for a powerful military. So i announce today a massive military build up and expansion. We have our eyes on 12 star systems that need to be brought into our empire. They will give in with out a fight. With those we can show the Paper Tiger known as The Gaian Ascendancy that we are the strounger. We will be the great power. HAIL TO THE NATIONLISM PARTY AND THE SUPERIOR RACE!!!"

Witht that the people yelled hiei's name over and over agian. Followed by a chant of death to the enemys of aura.

The Council, minus two, was watching a replay of the victory speech. Not a single one was amused by the last part.

Funaho nods. "Signals will be increaded along the border." Peorth then adds. "Should we attempt a contact with their Emperor?" Seto adds. "I already have such in mind."

Arashi, sitting as head of the Council while Aleaic and Tsunami recuperated from the Trial, spoke simply. "I will take this to Hilton Head personally and tell them."

Keiichi adds.. "They may have a large fleet, but their deployments are not arrayed against us just as yet. I bet we have some time."

Tsutsumi adds. "Within six months, the Tourman, ours and the Snow Eagles will be at full strength. I also believe the Fleet will be full strength, with at least three full Fleet Groups to add.

We should be able then to assign one Galaxy to the Woodian defense if needed.

IF we concentrate on primarily stopping any incursion cold, then we can wear them down into a stalemate. Then they can get the edge from the Eagles ((OC- Ravens)) after. The Fleet, when the Gift is ready soon here, can then drive any attempt out.

The Armed Republic of Krioval condemns the statements of the President of Neo Zeta against the Gaian Ascendancy. Should war break out, we will move to support the Gaian Ascendancy to the fullest extent possible. Each of the council members listened quietly to the speach. "Hmm. I sugest we build up our forces around our most recent colony system," one of them said. "Yes we should. Also bring the G-Defense systems online and have them placed on a stand-by notice incase this sytem is one of the mentioned," another added on as the rest nodded silently. "Then it is agreed. I shall have the PSN Shadow, the PSN Bloody Winter, and the PSN Darkness Falls ordered to the newest member of our colection of systems as well as have the AENS Fallen meet them along the way."

In orbit of Reach
The three massive super cruisers slowly crawled forth from the masive docking stations in orbit. In the lead the Hell class super cruiser Shadow has her fighter's escorting herself. Behind her the PSN Darkness Falls a prototype Tempest class super destroyer fallowed. Her massive tri-barrel Shadow Angel cannon's being locked down into postion for a spacefold. Finaly the PSN Bloody Winter a simple destoryer fallowed in the rear towards the spacefold postion. As the three ships reached the location the system wide FLT-i was lowered for the five seconds required to leave the effect zone before raising once more.

The 'Crystal' System
The most recently "liberated" system in the Shadow Realm was busier than normal. Military ships were refueling and relocating to defensive postions when the three defolded in the outskirts of the final planet. The wreakage from the masive fight that occured only a scant three months before still littered the inner planets as it was slowly being recycled into useable equipment. Even as the colonists didn't know the miliatry force did. The peace in the system was posably at risk.

While I would ordinarily not even bother responding directly to the second-in-command of another nation, for the safety of innocent citizens of both our nations, I see little choice. Your citizens are being rounded up for their own protection. Quite honestly, your blatant militarism has never gone over well in Krioval, and I'd rather avoid having a Neo Zetan lynched in Torokara, to put not too fine a point on it. Also, I don't need spies in my capital or worse, potential terrorists.

Once the telepathic scan of our territory is complete and all Neo Zetans in Kriovalian custody, they will be transferred to a secure location in Terran orbit, and then loaded onto a transport vessel. The ships appeared suddenly in the nebula. Kriovalian dimensional drives being what they were, the warships went first. They could raise shields practically without delay. Then the transport arrived. Its shields being weaker, it hung toward the rear of the convoy. "This is Koro Vartek, of Krioval. We have arrived at the designated coordinates and are awaiting word from Neo Zeta. Exchange of our citizens can start when you're ready."

Now I honestly have no idea whether your "paper tiger" and racial superiority comments are to be taken literally or as so much government propaganda, but you seem to be acting far more reasonably at this point, so I'll consider giving you and your government the benefit of the doubt. Since this is both insanely well-coded and not-quite-official, I might as well let you in on a few other reservations our government has.

First, they're not convinced that the election results are valid. Not your fault, perhaps, but three thousand votes out of several million cast when the polls were at a dead heat aren't reassuring, and the instant belligerence doesn't help either. We'd like to see an official recount, but it's not a huge deal; it's your country and your people, after all, and if they want one, they'll probably get one. A tiny skiff, no larger than a small van, silently followed the 7th fleet to the Neo Zetan homeworld.

It was masked by both visual obscuring and little or no energy readings.

Its engines were shut off, and it was using no more than a gravitational attractor, dragging it in the engine flares of one of the larger vessels.

The pilot, and sole occupant of the craft was operating at low energy, and had only the slightest awareness from residual energy readings. He would only know when the engines were on, and when they were turning off.

The destruction of civilisations can be very painful for those involved, and this is why the Legitimate Traders' Guild Orca-Class Skiff Deep Six was sitting on the pad being frantically loaded by the crew. Belongings were hastily thrown into the crew compartment, and the goods and money that they had acquired were being loaded into the hold by the RS-8 WorkerMech that was so widely used in the LTG. A small grav-truck whirred to a halt nearby, and a tall, thin crewman untangled himself from the inconveniently small cabin.

"Hey, Hansen. Finished trying to get us all killed?"
Hansen looked hurt. He replied with a slight snap in his voice.
"I was only trying to sell the last of the goods before we get our tails out of here."
"Yeah, well. You could have been a bit quicker. Get a good price?"
"Meh. Average. Still, it'll mean that we aren't carrying volatile goods when the shooting starts."

They had heard President Hiei's message earlier, and then they had been contacted by Iligan. Iligan was an Area Manager, quite a few steps up the guild ladder from the skiff crew, and he had ordered them to return to the company area headquarters at Dona Sound. Not wanting to risk the Manager's wrath, or indeed still being on the planet when it was inevitably attacked, they were preparing to leave.

Like rats leaving a sinking ship.

Around fifteen minutes later, they were airborne, leaving the city far behind. The planet below began to merge into patches of colour. The quiet song of the thrusters pushed them onwards and upwards, and then they broke through the atmosphere like an arrow. And there, ahead, was a warfleet. Hordes of Neo Zetan and (the crew gasped) the massive Sephriothan ships hung there, forming a huge metal wall around the planet.

"Oh, hell. Hit the thrusters. We're getting out of here."
The little ship lurched forwards as the engines gained volume. Hopefully they would not be intercepted...

Your assistance would be most appreciated. Your nation has been of great assistance to us in our infancy, in terms of space travel, and we would welcome any ability to work with you again. Krioval currently has deployed approximately fifty thousand Fighters, all equipped with the transdimensional drive. In addition, we have three fully armed space stations in a loose arrangement between Earth (our primary population center) and the homestead planets, which are arrayed with several orbital weapons platforms (immobile). Finally, we have three large capital ships with both conventional and transdimensional drive, each of which carries a Hammer of Raijin (limited molecular dissociator - I'll post the specs later). Would Xenonier consider an alliance with our country, at least for the duration of hostilities?

Transdimensional drive basically consumes a lot of energy to "bend" space and allow practically instant transport of a vessel from one location to a second known location. It should only be activated in space, and energy consumption depends on distance, and the relation is direct. I would assume our own destroyer would prefer to seek out the heaviest enemy vessels, and annihilate them entirely. To an outsider, the confines of Zenii would have seemed peaceful, in a state of stand-down mode. The was no movement, bar the turrets of the defensive platforms and defensive ships. Far below them, was the surface of the Seventh Xenonian planet, almost entirely a sickening yellow. The Land was permanent desert, and home to the largest Xenonian Orbital shipyards.

Several squadrons of Raptr interceptors flew past one of the orbital stations, following preset patrol routes while Corvettes covered, eyes open for larger ships to target.

The shape of the miak destroyer on duty today, moved out from it's berth on the far side of the planet. The defensive ships ackowledged it with a glance from their scanners, and moved out of the ships way, allowing it room to test all systems without intereference.

Logs recorded it's mission, objective, and completed tests. Seconds later, the ship was gone.

I personally thank you for again intervening in this matter. I have signed all the necessary documents on my end as well to cement the alliance. Now on to the military issues. I have ordered production of new fighters to the level of one thousand per day. Our economy can sustain that for quite some time. We're designed for brute efficiency and maneuverability; each fighter has a low level of firepower, but a thousand at once can do quite a number on an enemy ship. Their range is moderate, though the focused energy weapons do more damage the closer they get to the target. The three capital ships we have are long-range behemoths, though their ultimate power is the Hammer. At present, I'm not sure whether that weapon would work against a tightly-packed enemy formation, but I see no real reason it wouldn't. Keep that in mind as well.

I think that we complement one another quite well. My fleet is mainly small craft capable of swarming less mobile enemies, and they can get out of danger easily. I have yet to lose more than a handful of fighters. And hell, if we get close enough, the military is filled with telepaths, TKs, and illusionists. To the immense relief of Fleet Command, the Three Tourmans, and the Ascendancy Council, came the return message from Lady Jessica.

All this talk of massive deployments and fighters is ... foreboding. We have used the military model you might know as the "Kanuckistani" for some time now, placing our efforts into small, elite, self sufficient groups that are equally adept in any and all situations. As such, most of our ships are the equal of battlefleets, and considering the primitive nature of Neo Zetan technology, things will only get easier.

Recently, we have also had to adress the resurgence of psychic enemies, which has essnetially resulted in every soldier becoming gifted with a range of powers, similar to your own. It was nessecary to deal with the scope of the Tyraelian conflict, who also rely on psychic technology. Perhaps you could speak with them, they are already searching for a way to recover from their own losses in that battle.

Although we doubt it shall be nessecary. If force is needed, then we shall see.

"Neo Zetan fleet is demobilizing this time. Sephrioth looks mighty confused," Kiv added.

"They're going to be pissed," Melena added, brushing a few strands of hair out of her eyes. "They wanted a war."

Raijin perked up considerably. "We've got a few people to talk to, then."

Greetings again to whoever's listening. We have acknowledged the demobilization of the Neo Zetan fleet and the arrest of President Hiei for war crimes. Krioval is most pleased to hear of these events, as it shows the considerable resolve of our spacefaring neighbors to use diplomacy over force. Ultimately, we are willing to host a summit on interstellar trade and diplomacy, or to attend one in another government's space. We ask at this time that the conference not be held in Neo Zeta pending the outcome of President Hiei's trial simply because we are loathe to send military vessels into their space presently. Naturally, Krioval has already begun the demobilization of our vessels as well; they should be to normal levels within the hour.

Further, Krioval would be most willing to send legal experts to the location of the trial to either assist in its adjudication or in its security. OOC: Just for the purpose of saving my "nerdship", my fighters are tiny little things (remember, dimensional shifts cost energy in proportion to the cube of volume, so we keep 'em small). They've got about four to six people on each. But then, learning about other people's militaries makes this more interesting.
