After nearly fifteen (15) years of isolation economics and politics, the President makes a bold move and opens its doors to the world.
"For too long we have tried to hide from the eyes of the international community," declares President Zhen'Erehcez Nesbecej, "But now, it is time that we as a nation join our fellow brothers and sisters of the international community; to prosper with others, to create peace with others, to stamp out oppression with others!"
The switch from an isolation policy to sudden openness has created some confusion in the general public. NU Professor Zhen'Meehkred Ced'Eleme explains that it may be a combination of the powerhouse economic system, an influx of social equality inside and outside of Lemuriania's borders and a desire for the President to just be apart of something greater than the nation itself.
Renowned actress and social commentator Phen'Selwel Ecel proclaims that something else might be amiss. "It is obvious that Lemuriania is looking to conquer more territory! There is only 23 million Lemurians in this whole nation and we have a well-funded military with 250,000 active members, 500,000 in reserve and a resent law passed by the government that can enact ‘mandatory military service’ in times of ‘crisis’."
When reached for comment, Press secretary Phen'Edel Serp Elevel stated "That's the growing pains of an international focused nation. The main objective is to be friendly but a lot of people are willing to yank off your tail just to get what they want. You need fruit in one hand and a tree branch in the other."
Whatever the reason, automotive engineer Zhen'Fets Ced'Bleebe is estatic, "I just can't wait to race our cars against those other nations cars. I've created the fastest car in Lemuriania and now I'd like to try my paw-hand at creating the fastest car in the world!"

Lemurians are basically "Lemur people"; IE anthropomorphized Lemurs.
Industry consists of soda, automobiles and arms.
The Capital of Lemuriania (and the largest city) is Nexes. The second largest city is Hteemstrep. The third largest is Yewegder.
Tech-level is contemporary/modern... whatever you want to call it.

[SUPER SECERT!!] The Lemurian language is actual just normal English backwards and all the vowels are replaced with e's. Good Day becomes Eed Deeg. If two non-vowels are spotted against each other, one is eradicated. Zhen is basically 'Mr', Phen is basically "Ms", "Rew" is someone in the military and Ced is "Doctor". You must always refer to their title as well as their name in formal settings.

The nation does have a small coast, though the Navy is still under funded.
