Drug Smuggling ring smashed

The Imperial Navy

In a glorious move this week, The Imperial 5th fleet, under the command of Admiral Vyse, smashed an interplanetary drug ring running from Earth to Tydus prime.

The drug in question is Dampalazine, a nasty drug that allows the user to hallucinate, but turns them into a withered husk. It is highly addictive, and outlawed under pain of death, like all crimes.

All it took was to find their headquaters, located in the sol asteroid belt. In a swift and vengeful manuver, the fleet swept in and blew the station away in one volley. Since it's destruction, traces of it in The Imperial Navy has dropped dramaticly. Admiral Vyse and his crew have been commended by the Imperial Navy for their actions, and have been given orders to track down and eliminate any survivors.

More on this as news comes in.

The Vor'cha-class attack cruiser 'IKS Thrak'TOK' was within range of the news broadcast, scouting for potential territories for the Empire. Apart from a very feint visible rippling effect, there appeared to be nothing near the lifeless planet in the system. She was under cloak and running silent, so her crew had little else to do but decode and translate any transmissions they received.

Captain Duv'Jeq listened to the transmission intently. He sat in silent contemplation on his bulky metal command chair for a while, rubbing his ridged forehead as he pondered what he was supposed to do.

"Captain, they are out of effective combat range," the weapons officer said after a long silence. "We can get there in a week, but we will be without reinforcements for at least twice that long."

Duv'Jeq ignored him and kept thinking. Warriors had no interest in 'narcotics', nor any reason to care if there was a smuggling organisation. He shrugged and stood up.

"Helm, bearing cha'-pagh-vagh suj, maximum warp on my signal," Duv'Jeq bellowed. "We will go within a handful of lightyears and watch quietly, nothing more. Officer Jek'ropdeh, maintain full silent running the whole way!"

"Yes sir," the weapons officer said.

"Course ready, sir," the helmsman growled. He'd punched in the figures rather aggressively, almost breaking the panel.

"Good," Duv'Jeq said loudly. He walked back down the ramp and sat down in his chair. "Take us there!"

The sleek vessel silently and invisibly pulled itself out of the planetary orbit and slipped into warp speed.
