Good evening, this is Kara Taylor for the Krioval News Network. According to several correspondents in Telekar earlier today, it appears that Commander Dekker's blistering speeches to Farmina have had their desired effect. On the heels of the election of the coalition of the liberal Frontier and centrist Free Krioval parties in recent elections, the Commander has forced his reapportionment bill through both the general Parliament and the Senate. We go now live to Lia Balos on the scene.

This is Lia Balos, reporting to you from the just-repaired Parliament building. In a strong show of solidarity for Raijin Dekker's Commandership, Kara Tyvok's center-left government has passed a bill redrawing legislative districts to, quote, "more accurately represent the shifting demographics of Krioval's population". What this means is that Torokara will now control approximately forty percent of Parliament, with cities like Bralos losing up to seven Representatives. Currently, there are no provisions to reduce the Senate, which will remain at four Senators per incorporated city or extraplanetary settlement. The atmosphere in Telekar is one of quiet satisfaction among most delegates, though some in the opposition Security party are threatening to resign in protest of the legislation, which decidedly favors larger and more liberal cities in Krioval.

Thank you, Lia. Other legislative developments in the past several days include the formal annexation of Bralos city and the Tevanor Islands. Citizens of those areas will be allowed to exchange their current passports and citizenship papers for Kriovalian ones for no charge, and their current documents will be considered void in two months. Several politicians have questioned the plan, wondering if the Commander and the Directors are planning an expansionist campaign. When questioned, Lord Dekker indicated that there was, quote, "no major effort in the works". The mood in Krioval has been growing more and more aggressive in the wake of the attempted coup two months ago and in the Darklighter ritual performed shortly thereafter, and some prominent Kriovalians are urging further annexations and conquest, with Senator Christine Barro of the Frontier party leading the pack.

Personally, I think that there's a lot of scum in the world, leading other countries. I won't mention any by name, of course, but frankly, their people would benefit enormously if we were to just get in there and kill off a few of their so-called leaders. Simple, quick and efficient, if you ask me. Of course, I don't speak for the entire government.

With attitudes like hers on the rise, it's anybody's guess as to when the Dekker Commandership will feel compelled to address the issue.

In other political news, Parliament is currently debating a bill derecognizing Christianity as an official religion in Krioval...
