CBC - Canadian Congress passes Same-Sex Civil Unions & Rights Legislation

After the split of the former Dominion of Canada the Canadian Conservative Right moved to form the Federal Republic of Canada. After the split the government quickly came to illegalize gay rights and Same Sex Marriage with a large support base by the newly formed Republican Party.

A Democrat, Lynn Watson, a Liberal-at-heart and a lesbian with support of her constituency brought forth a new proposal for gay rights and same-sex unions. It was announced back in last November prior to our January election, that President Wittrock will be supporting this bill, "I believe that this was a mistake that my party committed after the breakage of the Dominion of Canada. It was about time that we brought them both back."

Lynn Watson was happy that the President himself supported the bill.

The Macabee government is no proponent of same-sex messages, however, as a nation that is aware of 'human rights' we applaud such a decision.

Official Pacitalian Government Statement

We commend our friends and allies in Canada for thoroughly investigating all possibilities and making an informed, mature decision on this terribly controversial issue. We are also glad that now citizens of Pacitalia in a same-sex relationship can feel even safer travelling to Canada without the worry of government-led judgment.

I hope the passing of such legislation in Canada will allow for homosexual and bisexual citizens in your fine nation to feel free, welcomed and equal in Canada, the land they are proud to call home.

Congratulations on the successful ratification of the bill.

Sincerely,
Nikos Karagounis

CBC NewsWorld - Canada may join naval blockade against Kahta

Over the course of events after the end of the Mississipian War and Kahta taking over the former-territories of the Mississipian Front. The State Department has been rejecting the idea of joining the naval blockade, however Secretary Temple and Lieutenant General Harding, Secretary of Defense have been hackling over the issue.

It appears that both will be addressing Congress and the Senate during different sessions. A speculated rumour has came up, that the President himself may use his veto power, unless it is a threat to Canadian National Security.

CBC - Four Republican Senators resign

After the legislation to relegalize Same-Sex Civil Unions and Gay Rights, the President has alerted four Republican Senators who have been sending Congresswoman Lyn Watson threatening hate mail due to her sexual orientation and her formal announcement of her engagement.

I had the opportunity to ask the President a question on this issue during his press hearing. President Wittrock responded, "The four Senators have failed to commprehend the rules set forth to protect those who are homosexuals in our nation. This will be taken as hate mail and hate crimes will be placed. The Republican Party of the Federal Republic of Canada is not against democratic resolutions, such as sending hate mongering letters to other individuals. This will never be taken lightly. Nor will I accept this from a member of the Senate to insult another member of the government."

CBC NewsWorld - Seaforth Highlanders set on orange alert

The Wittrock Administration has recently published a statement that they may join the International Allied Defence Federation (IDAF) after Bill Harding this morning announced that he has alerted the Chief of the Navy of the Cabinet's decision on sending a taskforce to assist The Macabees and the IDAF in blockading the shorelines of the Kahtan Empire.

The Seaforth Highlanders are the brave men and women of the elite marine combat group who my be called to enter the Kahtan Empire to assist ground forces unless Kahta does not accept the impending ultimatum.

MAPN News
VICTORIA, Canada - In a rescent suprise the Canadian administration has expressed feelings of simpathy towards the anti-Kahtan cause and rumors hold it that the Canadian government may go as far as to join the International Allies Defense Federation, the vaunted spearhead of both the peace effort with Kahta, and the war effort which may arise from Kahtan lack of cooperation.

However, the Canadian decision is well received by the Macabee government and the Emperor has already begun to pressure the Canadian government to realize said aspirations concerning membership to the IADF. Arguments for the decision include the fact that the IADF has skyrocketed as a backwater alliance to a defense federation placed in the limelight of modern events.

Rejected by the Republican Party

Former-President, Anthony Raymond Wittrock has been rejected by the delegates at the Leadership Convention for the Republican Party for the presidency, they have awarded it to President John Henry Bieker. President Wittrock on not being nominated, "I plan on also running for the Presidential nominee for the Democratic Party of Canada since I have spoken with my campaign manager on doing so, and appears that we'll have a better chance and getting a lot larger piece of the pie."

President Wittrock announced the nominee for Presidency for the Democratic Party.

President Wittrock had recieved the most nomination and was the clear winner at the Democratic Party, The Former Leader of the party, Senator Glen Hurtig, "I think that President Wittrock is the better choice for President inbetween himself and I. He has clearly had a lot more experience in politics, and he knows what he is doing. And I think he deserves a second chance like all men and women in the eyesight of God. President Wittrock will do the best for uniting the Democrats and the Republicans to make our country even greater then before."

The President was pulled aside after being asked how does he feel and who is he going to pick for his Vice Presidency spot since the person he had in mind is running against him for Presidency for the Republican nomination, "At this time, I have not an idea who I'll select as my Vice President. It may be Senator Hurtig, or someone else, darnit. I wish Right Honourable Colin Graves came with me to our country after the split, he'd make a damn good VP."
