Ooc: This is going to be a thread for everything LeTuar related. Currently, I can't start off with a factbook, because it would take too much time to figure it out, so I'll just figure it out as I go along. Any nation that would like to RP with a nation that is new to roleplaying, please TG me, or repond to this thread. This thread will be continually updated; for now in the form of news flashes.

-News Flash from LeNNC (LeTuar National News Corporation)-

"Today, Executive Harris has proclaimed, after many days of debate among top representatives, that The Federation of LeTuar is officially beginning. For many days, the various leaders of the various cities in the country have been debating how our country will be run. Since the leaders of our major cities gathered on February 3rd, to unite this country, many ideas have been proposed in the meetings that have been held. And it wasn't just the leaders that were planning. Citizens have been working to form companies, organizations, etc. LeNNC was founded shortly after the leaders gathered, so that we could be the first to report on this event. Moments after Executive Harris made the official statement, LeNNC asked if the plan they had come up with allowed us to report, and we were granted access to report. Let's see the official video of Executive Harris.

-Today, we have united our people, to better serve all of LeTuar. We have been laboring for weeks, to write the blueprint of LeTuar. And finally, we have all agreed on the grand paper that will shape LeTuar. The great leaders of this country have formulated the timeless ideas of countless individuals to unite this great nation, this great people! We have wrought the government contract that will endure for all time, that will serve us into the future! And so, on this March 8, of the year 2005, I proclaim united the people of LeTuar, under the flag of the nation of LeTuar!-

**Message from the Emporer**

We, The People of the Holy Empire of Shazbotdom, wish to extend an invitation to the Leader of the Nation of LeTuar to open diplomatic relations. My Cheif of Staff has reminded me that we have a multitude of spaces left on Embasy Lane. Embasy Lane is a section of our Capital City of Shabotdonia. It consists of 10 square blocks with space for over 100 Embasies.

Official Statement of Executive Harris:

All nations that are interested in opening diplomatic relations, please respond to the official thread, and after we send a message to your government, we will be glad to begin diplomatic talks.

Executive Harris pressed a button on the telephone on his desk.

"Yes, Mr. Executive?"

"Get me a diplomat."

"Right away, sir. Anything else?"

"No."

He re-read the letter on his desk that he had just recieved from Tree-Hugging Lesbians. Harris wasn't didn't think that he should be rushing into international affairs so quickly like this, but a country had to have relations to survive. He just hoped whoever Larry would sent up would be prepared.

After a few minutes, there was a knock on the door. Executive Harris, not taking his eyes off the paper he was working on, opened the automatic door with a button on his desk.

"Mr. Executive?"

Harris glanced up from his desk. It was Robert Kolin. A good choice for diplomat. A little naive, yes, but a man with strong convictions and a love of his country. Also, he was very charismatic, a quality that most other government workers seem to lack. During the initial weeks of the debating, it was he who had helped raised support in Jolesburg for uniting LeTuar. A good man.

"Ah, yes, Mr. Kolin, is it?"

"Yes, sir. Robert Kolin. You sent for me?"

"Yes. Come in, Mr. Kolin, have a seat."

Kolin took a few steps into the room, and sat down in a chair in front if Harris's desk.

"Kolin, do you know why I sent for you?"

"No, sir."

"Robert, I need you be my diplomat to a country. You have been very helpful to your government, and you display many of the qualities a diplomat should have."

"I'm sorry sir, but shouldn't a lower-ranking government official be taking care of this? I know that you're a very busy man, after all."

"True, but this will be an important diplomatic mission. I need you to negotiate talks. This will be our first involvement in foreign affairs. You will be representing your country to other countries of the world. I know as well as you that first impressions are of utmost importance. So I'm asking you, will you accept the position, to represent your country?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Good man! Make sure that you tell Mrs. Leon. Let her know you accepted the position, and have her give you the papers. Here, take this," Harris said, as he passed a small peice of paper to Kolin.

Robert Kolin exited the room and the automatic doors shut after him. Executive Harris smiled to himself as he resumed his work. He knew that Kolin would make a good diplomat. Harris made a mental note to thank whoever hired him.

"It will still be a while before the public is able to know exactly how LeTuar has been organized by Executive Harris and his Cabinet, but a senior news correspondent managed to get hold of a government official for an interview. We
were able to vaguely make out Executive Harris's worldview for LeTuar. And here it is, reporting to us live from Jolesburg, we have Julia Netter, Julia, can you hear
me?"

"Yeah, Bob, I can hear you."

"Great. So Julia, what can you tell us?"

"Well, Bob, from my information it appears that Executive Harris wants LeTuar to be a well-functioning country. That is, he believes the public can have the freedoms they want, as long as its for the good of the country. Let's take an example: If the people are considering going to war with an immoral country, Harris would have to consider what the effects would be, if it would be too big of a strain on the national budget, if LeTuar would get respect on the international scene, if it would generate support from the government."

"Sounds like an interesting plan, Julia. But that's all the time we have. Up next: Why the people are becoming increasingly impatient with the Executive over his delayed plans for the government. Until then, this has been LeNNC evening news. Stay tuned for the eleven o' clock news."

The Confederacy and its peoples wish to welcome the nation of LeTuar to this tumultous and rather irrational world. As a gesture of good will and peace, our nation wishes to establish all forms of legitimate economic and diplomatic connections as soon as possible to ensure the success of your new nation in the world.
