Today, President Bob Jules announced that following successful negotiations with Tree Hugging Lesbians regarding the possible declaration of protectorate status, the fledgling nation had agreed to become a partial member of Noitan Teppup's empire, hopefully boosting both economies with the latest set of trade deals between the two nations.

During his press conference earlier today, President Bob Jules confirmed that Noitan Teppups military were now beginning the construction of a new military base on a small island which was originally an uninhabited neighbour island off the coast of Tree Hugging Lesbians. While details of the new military base are stectchy, it is said to be estimated to be operational on a basic level within one month and fully completed within one year of construction, much of which is being funded my joint military and corperation funding. Locals from the Tree Hugging Lesbians have been contracted to help with contruction as well as materials bought from the nation where possible, hopefully boosing the economy of the small nation during this time.

President Jules then went on to describe the main function of this new military base,

"Our main concern with our new allies and friends in Tree Hugging Lesbians is that their safety is concidered, already we have deployed military assets to protect them during this dangerous period of introduction into the International Community, however the perpose of this base is to provide a perminant military asset to better protect our new protectorate from unwarrented aggression, an unfortunately common occurance in todays chaotic modern world. It is our hope that this base will prodive all the required additional defence for our friends during this time and will better relations between our two different nations."

With that comment, President Jules finished the press conference to leave for his morning Defence Brief. Opinions of this latest move by the President are varied depending on who you ask, but many agree that this act of charity will vastly increase the security of Tree Hugging Lesbians and will help to improve Noitan Teppup's international image.

Today, Minister of Defence, Gabrielle Valentine announced new orders given the the Noitan Teppup Armed Forces to mobilise a defence force to further ensure to the protection of Noitan Teppup's latest addition to the empire, Tree Hugging Lesbians

In a press conference earlier this evening, she gave this statement to NTN News:

"At first we were concerned at the strange display of increased military spending in the Queendom as we hadn't gotten much intel on possible threats to the small protectorate. Naturally we have openned channels to learn what we can, however as we have done so it seems that there are a growing number of aggressive statements being made towards our allies in the past few hours which are confirming our concern that our protectorate may be in danger from foriegn aggression.

Needless to say, such comments from the likes of Sorkovia and Slayrule are unwelcome at this time as they mearly serve to escallate the problem. Especially comments from Slayrule's news contacts which are stating that their government may be prepared to send in military assets into our protectorate to conduct 'combat sorties', a clear intrusion into THL and Noitan Teppup space. While these news reports are unconfirmed, they are enough to warrent an increased alert to our military base in THL and as such I can now confirm that Noitan Teppup jets will now be prepared to protect THL airspace and further more destroy any nearby Slayrule carriers which would have to be used to deploy forces into THL airspace.

As a result of these threats we feel it is nessicary to prove to the world that we mean business and will prepare to protect our protectorate from any nation whom may use the military spending increase in THL as an excuse to invade our protectorate.

So far our ally has conducted not aggressive action against any one nation and as such all of these threats are completely unjustified. As of now we have increased our military state of alert and we are now mobilising additional forces to send to our protectorate. Several fleets are now making their way towards THL waters to assist in border defence while we prepare to deply land forces... as for the number, we cannot confirm the exact figure, but we feel a moderate force would be suitable in both cost and capabity.

Should this all turn out nicely we will make a point of conducting military excerises in THL waters to further our readiness. Thankyou."

Today, Noitan Teppup foriegn investors around the nation are celebrating the fact that Noitan Teppups protectorate, The Queendom of Tree Hugging Lesbians has announced their latest United Nations Economy rating to the world, proving that their people are growing more prosperous and that the government coffers are completely able to support their nuclear weapons program.

Foriegn investors such as one of Noitan Teppups largest corperations, War Incorperated, are claiming the economic success is partly down to their strong investment in the fledgeling nation, though they readily admit that the Queendom has been making smart moves for sometime using in foriegn investement and national resources.

"These advancements have me very excited..." War Incorperated CEO Pual Kettler stated, continuing on. "The improved economy in the Queendom is likely to have a very positive affect on our trade with our protectorate, we are now able to agree to larger contracts and expect better facilities during such dealings. Let the good times role I say.

Controversially however, the Queendom has announced that it intends to continue it's drive for Nuclear Defence, a hot topic in the international community lately. However Noitan Teppup officials have already stated that they fully support the measures taken by the Queendom and have offered assistance in reaching their goal.
