Old Age Thinking Returns

The Commonwealth of Jagada, is a collection of various tribes who, centuries ago, were united by a man name Jagada, or better known as 'Lord Jagada'. He was a very powerful man, he left the tribal lands during the Tribal Wars and brought back with him a new religion, a true religion, Chirstainity. The religion spread across Jagada like a wildfire, and it further increased the bond between the tribes. Though, threw circumstances, Lord Jagada was forced to unify the tribes after the 3rd Imperial Wars. His conquest of the tribes was swift and was called the Unification War. It was after the Unification War that Jagada, offically called the united tribes the 'Unified Peoples', after his death however and threw a series of revolts the name was changed to 'The Commonwealth of Jagada'.

The Commonwealth had always been centered around the religion of Christianity and the principles it sponsered. The Commonwealth still permitted other religions such as Islam, Bhuddism, and a number of other religions.

It was only in the recent years that the Commonwealth began to see cracks in its society. Rumors of an underground society known a the 'Tribes' began to spread to even the highest ranking members of both Jagada' religious and political orders. This group, from the rumors, appearntly believed that the Commonwealth had failed, that its embracing the ideals of Christianity was the biggest mistake it had made, they advocated a more Liberal form of government, one who seeked change at all costs, even violence. This group was, at first, simply an assembly of people, and by the laws set in placed in the Commonwealth, the government could not interfer in peaceful assembly.

Violence began to increase in Jagada, it started simply as a few arsoning of churchs and mosques in Jagada. No one took notice of this, there had always been tension between Christians and Muslims and occasionally small outbreaks of violence occured, which the government quickly resolved. The government and even the people began to take notice when high-ranking religious figures of Chrisitianity began to be killed. It was at this time that the government began to inspect the society of the 'Tribes'. Intelligance reports quickly came and it was known that the Tribes had at least five thousand people willing to support in, in terms of violence, and another ten thousand people were willing to support it in terms of finances. The 'Tribes' became the government's top suspect in the killings, with both the personel and the finances required to carrying out their operations. Thus the government began a crackdown on the 'Tribes', trying to dismantle their group. This provoked more violence, and now even religious leaders of Islam were being killed, along with some arsoning of Bhuddist Temples. These operations by the Tribes began to unite the various religiously divided peoples together.

This violence soon degraded into a revolt. In the city of Honderta, a city that is known for being the homebase for several radical religious groups throughout the years, violence broke out. The Tribes has strong influences in the city, and manage to violently take control of it and force the police forces out of the city.

Despite having siezed the city, the Tribes knew that their five thousand man militia would be overwhelmed by the Jagadian Army. They needed more allies. Thus, in a most unusal turn of events, the Tribes struck an alliance with the recently banned radical religious party 'Spirituality For All'. The Spirituality Party was known for not choosing any religion and denying all religions gods, and instead telling people that they themselves were gods. While this radical party was small, it poses a great threat. Within it's ranks were nearly ten thousand people, primarily immigrants from countries who banned or frowned upon religion.

The situation still remains very sensitive, it is unclear on how the government will appoarch this matter.

((OOC: No posting yet, let me get some more writing done. Thanks.))

General Robert York winced, the sun again glared into into the backseat of the car, and into his eyes. In this time of year, better known as summer, the heat was nearly unbarable. The urban terrian in the captial city were more annoying than usual. York's command post was in West Jagada, an urban area also but not nearly as densely as the captial city. The car he was riding in pulled up to the nations captial building, the residence of the Highest Minister. The drive made some small verbal communications with the gate guard, who saluted as the car pulled in. The car made a sharp right turn not long after entering the gate, it stopped briefly and suddenly. A man standing outside the main complex walked up to the car and opened the door. York got out of the car. He was dressed in traditional Jagadaian military uniform: a blue military suit and blue overcoat. The man who opened the door was dressed in similar clothing and saluted York as he walked pass.

York entered the main complex's front doors. He could feel the rush of cold air, it yelt a lot better then the heat outside. He made his way to a desk where a young woman set glancing at a computer screen and then at some papers.

"Excuse me, mame," stated York. The young woman looked surprise that she hadn't seen him ahead of time. "Yes, how may I help you?" she replied. "I have an appointment with Highest Minister Norris," he commented. The young woman looked threw some files and nodded. "Yes, I see you name," she stated. He signaled to one of the guards. "Please, take General York to the Highest Minister," she asked to the guard. The guard nodded, and asked the general to follow him.

After some twisting down the confusing halls of the main complex they reached a hall which ended in a dead end. The guard apporched cautiously and gently knocked on the wall. He took a few steps back. The camera mounted on the wall next to York moved around a bit. Then suddenly the wall split in halve and four guards came out holding onto the handles of their ARMG-3's. After noticing it was York and the guard they saluted. York entered and the escort guard turned and walked back down the hall. The wall soon after closed. The room was moderate in size, no windows, and white paint. A man sitting behind a brown desk looked at York and soon rose to his feet.

"General, a pleasure to see you," he stated, "I apologize for dragging you from your duties."

"Not at all Highest Minister, what is the situation?" stated York. Personally and more or less secretly, York didn't vote for or like Norris. However, a soldier's duty highly override his political beliefs. York made his way to a leather chair which was hastily set in front of the wooden desk by two of the guards.

As York sat down, he noticed a paper sitting on the Highest Minister's desk, the words were upside down, but he could read them. In the headline, in big, bold, and black letter said "Revolt in Honderta!". Before York could think anymore about that issue, the Highest Minister spoke up. "Robert, I've called you here because I feel you're the best general in the Jagadaian Army, and perhaps the most loyal," stated Norris. This caught York's attention. "As I'm sure aware, the city of suffering is yet again in revolt," stated Norris. The city of suffering, or Honderta, was a hard place to live in, people were often killed for their radical beliefs, by other radical parties, crime was a major problem in the city. York nodded, "So I've heard," he stated.

"Our intelligance reports that nearly fifteen thousand militia and mercanaries have assembled in the city, and they are demanding that I step down as Highest Minister and permit a Liberal to take my place," Norris said, with a hint a nervousness in his voice. York was a conservative at heart, and so was Norris, it's just they differed on key issues. York would probably have supported Norris stepping down, but to unconditionally and without elections put a liberal in power, he would never support.

"I see. Any cries for indepedance?" commented York. "None, yet, but it is safe to assume that if this revolt goes unchecked then they will demand indepedance and their radical ideas may spread to the rest of our countries, and you know that such an event would be crippling to our nation," stated Norris. "Yes sir, so which elements shall I be commanding?" stated York. York knew that he was here to lead the Jagadaian Army to crushing this revolt. Norris merely smirked, he liked the generals 'get-to-the-point' attitude, saved him the trouble of putting on his political face for long. "I've ordered the Seventh Divison to be ready for action. By tomorrow they will be ready to assault the city," stated Norris.

"And air support?" questioned York. "I am sorry, but as of now air support will not be given, there are still a large number of civilians in the city, and any high loss of light may result in public support to crummble. However, these rebels barley have weapons, so this revolt can be crushed quickly with little loss of life," stated Norris.

York had a strange feeling that he wasn't being told the whole story, on top of which he wasn't being given the proper means to combat the enemy.

A map was laid out across a desk. Jacob looked viewed the map, two other men were on the other side of the table, their names were Harry and Bret. The city of Honderta was rather large, skyscrappers were all over the city. He knew this would make things harder on the invaders. Jacob was a mercanary, one hired by the so called 'Tribes' rebels. Harry and Bret were, more or less, his chief commanders and lackies. Jacob's job was simple...plan the defense of the city.

"What is the status of our equipment?" Jacob questioned. One of the men, Bret, looked threw some paper he held. "Well, to be honest, its pretty pathetic. The other mercanaries are all well equipt, since they brought their own equipment. The militia has primitive weapons, spears, javalins, hunting rifles, and some handguns. I believe the defense will probably rest on our shoulders," stated Bret. Jacob frowned, five thousand men against probably a whole divison, the odds were not looking good.

"Guerilla warfare then, that's our only choice," stated Jacob.
