SECRET IC:
South Chinese Sea, international waters

"Sir, a flash message from the Eastern Captain Command. It's urgent, do hurry."
"Yeah yeah I'm coming" The captain stepped out of his quite luxurious cabin, and followed the communicator to the bridge. He took the message from his desk and read it.

FROM: ECC
TO: Fleet Commander L.C. Blouff
STATUS: Classified, officers only
MESSAGE: Prepare for upcoming conflict. The Reich demands more soil to live. Lebensraum cannot be found in Europe, so we must look in Asia. The use of nuclear, chemical and biological agents is not permitted. Use conventional methods. SC is working out the best tactic, do not venture near Indonesian sovereign waters until the order has been given to start the assault. We will send in additional men. Move your fleet near the Malaysian territorial waters, an additional invasion fleet will be sent from the Pacific. Upon their arrival you will be informed what to do where and when. Do not inform your crew of this mission.

Signed, Overlord Leonard Ynsson."Wasn't expecting that." Captain Blouff looked at the message, when he noticed the men around him were looking at him, instead of working. This annoyed Blouff, he couldn't stand men being curious. The lower ranks aren't supposed to think, they must follow.
"Something wrong captain?"
"No no... Move the fleet near the Malakka Peninsula, orders from Ynsson."
"Aye sir, I will notify the navigator.

Days later...

The fleet arrived at the rendez-vous point in the Southern Chinese Sea, near the Malakka Peninsula. The other fleet would arrive here soon.

Secret IC:

"Sir, the 9th fleet has arrived this morning, shall we begin the planning?"
"Alright, shall we go to the meeting room?" Blouf and the man from SC walked to the meeting room where all the other important naval officers awaited the mission status from Blouff. He coughed soft, drank a glass of soda and thumbed through his memo's.
"Okay, dear colleagues. As you may know we have begun a campaign to defend ourselves against the vile murderous democrats of Tihland. They use democracy as a way to justify their actions. But on to the matters at hand. I got an urgent flash communiqué from Overlord Ynsson insisting that we must expand our grip onto Asia. Me and Cooper have drawn up various battle plans which, I stress, are purely theoritic."
"Which nations are the target then?"
"Our Corpse Diplomatiqué has struck a deal with the British Empire, if we aid them in the invasion of India then we shall receive dominion over the important harbour city of Shanghai."
"Captain Blouff... So you are saying we must aid those fools in their conquest if we get one city? One?"
"You must understand that this is only part of much larger operation. Ladies and gentlemen, I present operation 'Carpe Diem'. The battleplans show a possible intervention from Kanabia or Independent Hitmen. We do not know for sure, it's purely theoretic. Our plans include the armed take-over of Indonesia, Singapore, military aid for the British Empire and the armed take-over of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. I suggest a naval blitzkrieg, small carriers and transports hopping from island to island. We must expect resistance especially in Indonesia from extremist Muslims and anti-colonial powers. All available naval vessels docked at Hong Kong have been called in to secure our positions and help in our first and second assault waves. You know rough details of operation 'Carpe Diem', friends this meeting is adjourned."

South Chinese Sea

On the decks of the battlecruisers, cruisers, destroyers and the other types of naval craft moved into Indonesian waters, after the destructive Tsunami in Aceh the Indonesian authorities wouldn't expect their nation to be overrun by imperialist Germans. The thirteen thousand islands of Indonesia shouldn't be too difficult to conquer - the civil militia's and Islamic extremists are the culprits. Island hopping would be the strategy here, precision bombings, tactical assault groups. There would be no regular Kampfgruppe organized here, only Foot Cavalry would be deployed. Still in international waters, the fleet continued on patrolling and exploring their borders. Fleet Commander Blouff had to be cautious; being too cruel or randomly burning down villages would mean the population would turn on him - something which isn't a good thing. At all.

From the small Guffingfordii holdings in the Fruit Island Archipelago SeaShadow class stealthships departed the harbour heading for Indonesia. On each ship four-hundred men of the Fuss Kavallerie Kampfgruppe are boarded and are going to land on smaller islands to get a firm foothold for the marines and other mechanized battle units. So far, the plans look watertight. Indonesia is not known for its well-equipped navy (neither is the German Empire) but what we have will do. Only one hour left, and then the men are on their on in hostile territory. Nothing they can't handle...
