British Empire outlaws Anime

With the increase in moral decay around the world, the British Empire and His Majesties sponsored sensors have recommended to the world that the Anime industry be closed down. From a decree singed by His Majesty King George himself all Anime artists currently residing in Japan are being held for questioning regarding their immoral conduct.

In a statement from the Home Office, Mavil Whetherly has confirmed the action taken. "It is about time that the world is free from such horrible and immoral material, His Majesty certainly supports the ban."

This ban on Japanese animation is certainly set to anger civil rights campaigners who claim the government is taking to firm a stance on recreational activities.

Taiwanese Islands is appalled by this atrocity. Not only is it a blatant, oppressive attempt by the inhumane government of the Birtish Empire to control the media and brainwash the public, it also infringes upon fundamental human rights and civil liberties.

Anime is a great way of expressing art. The works under this genre are comparable to literature masterpieces such as Shakespeare, but infinetely more fascinating and interesting. In an age where Hollywood films run rampant across the world, there is absolutely no basis for accusing anime of immorality.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all humans are born with certain funamental, inviolatible rights endowed at the time of their creation, and that these rights include the right to express onself's arts through anime, and the right to view anime for enjoyment and in their pursue of happiness.

As such the Commonwealth demands that British Empire reverse this ban within 24 hours, after which Commonwealth forces will begin offensive operations.

Mavil Whetherly came to the podium, as usual he coughed to signal the autocue.

"Ladies and Gentleman, today His Majesty King George received a direct threat aimed towards his colonial holdings in the pacific. The small nation of Taiwanese Islands, in what can only be described as a foolish demonstration of outrage, threatened direct military action against the Empire if the Act of Animated censorship was not repealed by the commons. I can tell you now, that the British Empire, will never bow to any demands made by another nation that is obviously corrupt and flawed to its moral foundations. As a result, His Majesty has ordered the Pacific fleet onto full alert, while tactical provisions are being prepared for preliminary strikes against Taiwanese forces. I have been authorised by the Ministry of defence to declare that the Chinese first to eighty seventh divisions returning from active duty, are now on full alert. While the Empire has yet to make any hostile declaration, we are using this opportunity, to make a direct warning to Taiwanese islands, that any interference in British affairs will result in a formal declaration of war."

The British Empire currently owns, The United Kingdom, Mongolia, Japan, the Phillippine islands, the Uk and Ireland.

This is Dictator Scharfetter of East Lithuania. Now listen, I know our nations have had our differances during the Australia inncident, and it almost got us in a full-raged war. Nero-Japan is outraged by these actions, but remains inactive at the moment.

As the 24 hour limit arrived, the Prime Minister of the Scandanavian Commonwealth is summoned before the Royal Council to report on the current state of affairs.

"Your Highness, the British Empire has refused our demands to end their atrocities," Prime Minister Haakon Bondevik reported. "They have apparently placed their troops on alert, but does not seem to wish to engage us in conflict."

Princess Ingrid Tjessem-Høiby of Norway, Princess Victoria Sommerlath of Westrogothia, and Princess Madeleine of Helsingia, listened to his report gravely. "And has the Ministries finished their evaluation?" Princess Ingrid asked.

"Yes, Your Highness," Bondevik said confidently. "The Ministry of Defense evaluated that Commonwealth forces should be able to launch a successful offensive. It is believed that our stockpile of supplies will enable us to fight a sustained war, and that the British is likely to submit to our demands long before we are exhausted.

"The Ministry of Commerce has also concluded that the war would not drastically damage the economy. In fact, although there would be considerable upheaval, the Ministry considers it a good stimulant to the Commonwealth's economic growth - provided that the British is kept well away from.

"However," the Prime Minister added seriously, "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs argued that wars are unnecessary and that Scandanavia should follow realpolitiks instead of moral and ethical principles."

"That would make us an immoral people, corrupted by the materialism of the world," Princess Madeleine said heavily. "Ideals should always be placed first and foremost in national strategies. Practicalities are important, but cannot be allowed to dominate our views." The two other Princesses nodded in agreement.

"Mobilize our forces. See if the Foreign ministry can work out a peaceful resolution, but unless our demands are fully met do not let anything interfere with porgress on the military preparations." Princess Victoria instructed the Prime Minister.

"As You Highness commands," Bondevik bowed deeply, and quickly took leave.

Fledwep Dewmellon appeared publicly to address the British Empire's newest ban on "Anime." After removing his Spectaskopes, polishing his "special inventing winch," and looking at his newly-invented chrono-specmographer-in-a-pocket-looker, addressed the crowd at half-past 12.

"As acting spokesperson for the Avalax on All Maters of Foreign Affairs, I, Fledwep Dewmellon, have recently watched this "Anime" on the Picture-Paster-in-a-box I borrowed from a more advanced nation. Frankly, I don't get it!? Are the people supposed to have eyes larger than three-fourths of their head? If so, then their depth perception and vision must be unbelievable!

The Avalax ask for a live specimine so we may observe him/her in the wild and interview him/her. Until that time, we maintain neutrality on the subject.

The Empire kindly urges the British to either lift the ban on anime or politely hand over all people currently in custody over this matter. Why would the British concern themselves with such trivial matter when we; the Empire can easily take them from your hands and relieve you from the burden they pose on your political reputation.

As an ally, you know we can be trusted which such a thing as giving asylum to unwanted elements from your society and we will make sure that none of their influence will ever reach your lands again.

His Honoured Majesty the Emperor of the Jingoistic States of Gay Ninjas released a statement earlier on this morning regarding the recent actions of the British Empire against the Anime industry.

Emperor Yurimaru, whose love of Anime has turned watching it into a national pastime, would like it known that he deems the actions of the Empire 'stupid' and 'pointless', and that he will be encouraging his allies to cut all trade links with "those silly British cows". He then went on to insult King George's dress sense, before concluding his statement with "and that suit makes him look really really fat."
