By approval of Sharina, the puppet has been created so that Earth III could be update more frequent. It is for her, and the Mods usage only.

I have decided to revive Earth III, as there has been Earth IV, V, and VI but no mention or activity in Earth III for a few months.

The most important feature of this new Earth III would be that multi-Earth RP'ing will be allowed. Nations that own land in other Earth's are allowed to claim land and RP in Earth III. People in Earth III are allowed to claim lands and RP in other Earth's.

That aside, I have decided to use several ideas gleaned from various Earth's to make this one the most flexible and reasonable Earth Claims up to this point.

Now I present you with the rules!

Rule 1:

Keep claims reasonable. A 100 million nation claiming the entirety of Russia and China would not be recongized. However, that same nation claiming New England area or the UK area would be recongized.

Rule 2:

For claims over your allocated claim limit, please provide RP's for it. These type of "over-limit" claims include conquest, annexation, "gift land", artifical islands, etc. If RP's aren't provided to prove these claims, then these claims will not be recongized.

Rule 3:

If someone claims a land before you, do not panic or get upset. You can work it out in a RP between the two of you, or claim another piece of land.

Rule 4:

No fighting, flaming, or insulting will be permitted in this Earth III claims thread. Continued flaming or insulting may warrant deletion of a player's claims from this Earth.

Be nice, and you shall be rewarded. Be a jerk, and you shall suffer the consquences.

Rule 5:

In cases of extremely large claims, a RP is mandatory. Example in case, a nation of 400 million with a claim in Georgia. The nation decides to claim Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisana, and Arknasas. A RP is required to prove that the nation is capable of holding these claims, and to provide ample evidence for future claims or RP'ing down the line.

If its just "I claim these lands." or a few sentence RP like "The armed forces of Nation X has destroyed all resistance in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisana, and Arkansas. They are now parts of Nation X's empire." then the claim will be ignored.

Rule 6:

Refer to the list of claims using CTRL + F to find the claim you want. If it is not there, then great! You can claim it right away. But if it does appear, that means someone else has claimed it.

Checking claims would save us a lot of time and aggravation as I won't have to triple check every claim,. and you won't get upset if I deny your claim because of a "double claim" (meaning 2 nations claiming the same land).

Rule 7:

Two areas that are off limits for claims would be the Arctic and Anarctica for RP reasons that will be revealed in the future.

Rule 8:

Nations with claims in other Earth's WILL be allowed to claim land here in Earth III, and vice versa, unlike in Layatreb's Earth II. This is so that nations in Earth III would be able to interact with other Earth's, and vice versa. This would help open up more opporunities of RP'ing and such.

Rule 9:

No puppets are allowed. This is done so to allow more propsective Earth III members to join in, and open up more potential RP's with them. Also, this prevents puppet-wanking.

Rule 10:

If an Earth III member does not post or RP anything within 4 weeks, their claims are invalidated, and then immediately become unclaimed land. The player is then removed from the Claims List.

Rule 11:

Technology levels will NOT exceed 2020 level of technology. Exceptions MAY be made, if you can prove to me that the technology would be realistic, reasonable, and functional.

It is up to me whether to approve or not approve technologies that may not be feasible for MT "gameplay" or "RP-play". I will hold a discussion with my team of moderators to form opinions of 2010+ technologies.

This is done so to avoid war RP's with Uber Tech of D()()M That Makes My Army Uber-Invincible! RAWRRRR! situations.

Rule 12:

This is the most important rule of them all: Have fun RP'ing with each other!

Nation Size: 5 ~ 100 million.

Maximum # of claims: 2 small claims.

Nation Size: 101 ~ 300 million.

Maximum # of claims: 1 medium claim or 3 small claims.

Nation Size: 301 ~ 500 million.

Maximum # of claims: 2 medium claims or 4 small claims.

Nation Size: 501 ~ 999 million.

Maximum # of claims: 1 large claim, 3 medium claims, or 5 small claims.

Nation Size: 1 ~ 2 billion.

Maximum # of claims: 1 large claim, 4 medium claims, or 7 small claims.

Nation Size: 2 ~ 3 billion.

Maximum # of claims: 2 large claims, 5 medium claims, or 10 small claims.

Nation Size: 3+ billion.

Maximum # of claims: Varies, within reason (If a nation surpasses the 4 billion mark, claims would be higher than just 3 billion). It is up to the moderator, Sharina, to approve or not approve claims for extremely massive nations.

For you newcomers and new nations, do not worry. Your population will grow pretty quickly, and if you really want a particular piece of land or need new land, you can RP invasion and annexation (with my approval).

You would have to contact the owners and see if they would be willing to give up the territory. Then tell them to contact me and tell me to verify it.

Just posting to let people know that I am coming back to Earth III (tomorrow night, though) and that I have taken over Brunei. I just need to wrap it up, and I am also invading El Salvador.

Well, obviously most of the more-liked and well-known countries aren't up for grabs... I believe there are still opening in Africa. I don't know for sure. You'd have to wait for an EIII mod to get on.

1) It doesnt matter that he ahs that many. he rightfully RPed their take over.
2) Germany and Austria are being discussed about beignhanded over to me.
3) If KPR is a terrorist orginization and not an invasion force it can be ignored unless Truitt agrees to let them in.

Whats the point in nations grabbing as much territory as possible? Dont you see that this means that other people who wish to join Earth III are faced with fuck all choices? That they probably wont want to join Earth III because of this, and we are left with a few players who have a monopoly on everything. I know I cant speak, as I have about 7 nations, but thats enough for me. I think its high-time for some major reorganization around here.

And yes, quit complaining, I rightfully RPed them, and I actually took some lands from others I disliked. It is not agenst the rules, it is like saying "Alright, once you get 3 nations you have to stay at 3." That makes no sense, but yes, I do belive I have probably stopped a few new players from comming in, which is why once I build up my empire in Asia as I mentioned above, what lands I have left over I will just leave, but leave under watch so new players can come in and not normal players who jump on the first openning they see.

Not to be a butt, however, I don't see any claim by Communist Brazil in this thread anywhere and it was not on the list when I made my claim - where is the "secret" list so we know to check it as well.

It was a technical error on my part. I removed Communist Brazil from the list because I thoguht he was inactive. But he had a RP going for a while with another Earth III member going on in E3, so I had to add him back.

Well folks, it seems the other mods arent even worrying about an update. I've (Grays Hill) been the only one to update so far. I'll update again tonight or tomorrow.

I have sent fleets to take over Greenland, Easter Island, and the Galapagos. One fleet is escorting each convoy of soldiers. We hope to build up these lands and bring Whittier rule to them.

Galapagos=1/2 an rl day.
Easter Island=2 rl days
Greenland= 2 rl days

Sharina owns the eastern US states you mentioned. Actually I think he owns most of north america and Mexico.

I think Sharina's claims should be null and void, she hasnt posted or contributed anything in maybe 3 months now, and is no longer the chief admin of E3 [we have Grays Hill now - thank you!]

I'd just like to note this list I compiled of anyone on the list whose been inactive for at least a day. I'm not really accusing anyone of anything, but it is interesting to see certain people having been inactive into double digits of days now...
As for the people in the bottom section...I couldn't find their names either in this claims topic or using the display_nation thingy on nationstates.

Whittier PM'ed me about me possibly losing my land in Earth III, so I thought I'd post something here.

I am not sure whether I want to continue RP'ing here, because I have lost a lot of enthuaism for RP'ing in NS. Too many n00bs, war RP's that end up in ignore-fests or wank-fests, nobody is interested in REAL RP's like character development, exploration, cultural, etc. type of RP's.

Nowadays, people in NS all want war RP's and invasion RP's. I can tell you right now, only 5% - 10% of the war RP's will ever be completed, and not suffer the fate of n00blets, ignores, or tech/number wanking.

When people actually want to do real RP's then I'll be more than happy to try to squeeze in time for these RP's. I can't be arsed or bothered to join in or participate in poor RP's like 95% of RP's here at NS that go like this... ("OMG! I nukk0r j00! OMG! I invadd0rz j00 with 10 million tr00ps!" bullshit)..

I will check back a few times this week, and if there is no meaningful or original RP's in Earth III by next week, then regrettably, I will withdraw.

Yes, it is its own country. I would like to run it realistically (not having the pope persue nukes for example) and function as a largely political entity. I think it adds an interesting element to the game.
