IC: Over the past year a terrorist group, known as the Bloody Moon had been attacking the Shenyang populace, suicide bombings and assassinations were their general bag of tricks. However, after the coordinated attack on 6 sites in the capital city of Randova, a mall, a hospital, two subway stations, a police station, and the governmental complex itself; resulting in 20 dead, 17 of which were civilians, the high council has decided that it is time to take action.
The official announcement to the world:
Chairman Murdock stands at a podium with the High Council's seal emblazoned on the front, behind him are 4 ODST guards and it is evident that he is whering a bulletproof vest under his suit from the fact that he is bulkier than normal.
"As of 12:00PM SST Shenyang has declared war on the Bloody Moon terrorist organization. After their dispicable attack in the capital yesterday, and the year of death that they have caused the council will no longer stand by and allow these acts to continue. We call upon the international community to join us in this effort to elliminate terror before it can spread beyond our borders. All assistance will we appreciated, and, with luck we can stop this threat from spreading any further. We currently have a unit moving to attack the small town of Bandat which the terrorists took as a stronghold. This will not be a short fight, but it is one that, with international suppport, we will win. Thank you, and good night."
Bandat, Central Shenyang:
The 165th Airborne was in position, Bandat was surrounded and the inital aerial attack was beginning. From behind the field HQ two AH-6J little bird helicopters lifted off. Their orders were to strafe the square. The city was cleared of civilians, they had evacuated as the Bloody Moon took the city and were currwently living with relatives or under government protection. Each little bird was armed with a pair of miniguns and a pair of 12 shot rocket pods.
"Command, this is Rouge 6-8 we are inbound to the tarrget area, no enemy fire as yet, requesting attack order confirmation, over."
"Rouge 6-8 this is Command, your mission is a go, strafe the entire square and return to base."
"Affirmative, this is Rouge 6-8 confirmation recieved, ETA 2 minutes."
"Affirmative Rouge 6-8, see you at command."
The little birds were coming in low, just above the roofs of the single story buildings, this was one of the poorest towns in Shenyang, the richest person was reported to make only 7Gt per hour, considered a slave wage in the capital, minimum wage was 25Gtph. As a result the area was not a very well developed one, the buildings were made of adobe, and their bullet stopping capabilities was questionable, exactly what the Rouge 6-8 and his wingman Rouge 6-9 needed.
They reached the point designated to start thier strafing, they accelerated to full speed and moved into position along the broad street leading into the square. The littlebirds opened up on the area immediately infront of them, kicking up dirt and tearing apart outdated jeeps that were parked in their path. As they enterred the square they pulled up and split to come around in opposite directions. Rouge 6-8 fired up its rocket pods, firing in semi controlled bursts while plowing the ground with 7.62 ammunition from its dual miniguns. Rouge 6-9 followed suit. The terrorists began firing up at the little birds, their hits ricocheting off or missing entirely. That was the price they paid for using low powered SMGs against a well equipped helicopter. The little birds continued to circle and strafe until thier miniguns and rockets were exhausted, leaving the square a burning, disorderly mess of death and twisted metal. On the return trip the little birds encountered heavier resistance, small arms fire, along with the occasional near miss of a badly aimed RPG made the trip more exciting and moderately more dangerous, as long as they stayed at their current altitude of 400ft they didn't really need to worry. This was only the openning wave of the seige of Bandat, by the end there would not be much left in the city to oppose the government and threaten the people.

Bandat, Central Shenyang,
The airborne was continuing its small attacks into the city, mostly in the form of helicopters. There was scarcely a moment when there wasn't atleast one attack helicopter in the air. After the attack on the square, which it was estimated, killed 20 and destroyed 10 vehicles, the terrorists became much more defensive. They regularly fired at helicopters, sometimes causing damage, other times causing a brief annoyance to the crew before the aggressor was mowed down by gunfire. One little bird was damaged to the point that it had to turn back from an attack, but otherwise there had been no casualties to the well trained and equipped airborne that was attacking.
2 Comanche gunships were coming in at high speed on an area designated "square 6" a known vehicle depot inside the city. Their mission was to destroy as many vehicles and kill as many soldiers as possible.
"Patriarch 1 to Patriarch 2, how you doing?"
"Patriarch 2, no problems here, target's comin' up, suggest we move to acttack speed and gain altitude."
"Good idea Patriarch 2, lets do it."
The Comanches accelerated and began ascending to an altitude of 50ft. upon reaching that altitude they spread apart and began to check their weapons: Hellfire-3 missles, 12 shot rocket pods, and gattling gun, nothing abnormal, but nothing noteworthy either. Still fun though. They began their attack run, targetting the highly out of date AA units that the terrorists had, a few .50 quadmounts on the back of 2.5 ton trucks. The Comanches mercilessly shreaded the vehicles, mostly converted civilian trucks and SUVs, the rebels ran out and began firing at the choppers, one managed to reach a vehicle, a pickup with a PKM on the back, utterly useless and a great target for the orbitting RAH-66s.Soon the smoke in the square became so thick that the gunners had trouble seeing into it. They continued firing into the mass of smoke, explosions issuing from the dark cloud as another vehicle exploded. The gunfire from the square subsided and the crews decided that they had caused enough grief for today. They came under heavy fire on the return route, a stray RPG bounced off of Patriarch 1, a dud, had it not been the crew would have had little chance of survival.

OCC: need someone to RP as the terrorist or an ally against them?

OOC: I have someone to RP the terrorists, I think, but I'm still looking for other nations to help destroy them.
IC: Patriarch 1 and Patriarch 2 were sweeping in low again, this time they weren't taking prisoners. As they barrelled along toward their objective they eliminated everything that moved along their path, a swath of destruction was left behind them as they proceeded. As they reached the target, a barracks of sorts, all hell broke loose. All around the helicopters rebels openned up on the unsuspecting helos. The rounds bounced off, the Comanches had been designed to survive a 20mm round, 7.62 was nothing compared to that. They immediately began moving down soldiers, bullets were flying in all directions, it looked as though the terrorists would win, then the pilots ascended vertically and backed away. The terrorists continued to fire, only to be met with the merciless force of unguided rockets. They impacted and terrorists went flying, the target building was the next on their list. They wheeled around and unleashed a firestorm of everything that the Comanches had left, bullets, rockets, Hellfire-3 missles, nothing was left to spare, the building imploded under the sheer volume and power of the incoming fire. The Comanches wheeled around again and now ascended to 400 feet to make the return trip at full speed. The building and the area around it were in ruin. There was nothing left living there until the terrorists came to clear it out later that day, the death toll was heavy, but the maniacal terrorists would not surrender in the face of mere air power.
OCC: cool, then I’ll help you.
IC:
Sarah entered the Prime Ministers office, with two coffees and a small red folder under her arm, “Good Morning, Erick”. She is the Chief of Intelligence for all the Commonwealth territories, and was a regular visitor of the Parliament Building. She set the folder in front of Erick along with his cup of coffee before sitting down in front of the big oak desk.
“Good morning Sarah” the Prime Minister said knowing that the cup of coffee meant bad news was about to be delivered.
“Well Shenyang appears to be having some problems with terrorist”
“And we know them how…?” Erick said skeptical not wanting to plunge the Commonwealth into another full-scale war.
“Erick, a nation needs our help, we can’t turn our backs on them” Sarah said firmly, “besides it always pays to help other as we need them someday”.
“Meh, as long as we don’t have to commit a large force” he countered, “lets send our Urban Brigade, General Taylor has been longing for an opportunity to test them in real combat”.
“Sure thing, I’ll notify the General immediately”.
A few minutes later she notified General Taylor about the deployment of his personal brigade, the chance he had been waiting for had finally come. “I’ll make sure those terrorist never bother Shenyang again” the General responded, although he was somewhat bummed that the Army wasn’t going to deploy a heavier force….for now. For the next few hours the soldiers of the Urban Brigade were called into action, and loaded into some C-5 Galaxy Class Transport planes assign to take them into Shenyang territory, although they still needed permission from them before taking off.
Official message to Shenyang
It appears that your are experiencing some problems with a terrorist organization, as a show of goodwill we would like to send over one of our finest Brigades to help you quells the little bastards and get back to your daily lives quicker. We would be sending over our Urban Warfare Brigade, especially trained soldiers to fight and win in and Urban environment. The only thing is this is going to be their first real battle experience, although a good part of them are veterans from other units in the Commonwealth Army. As soon you give us permission to land inside your territories we shall deploy them.
Signed,
Erick, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth

Official Response:
By all means you may send the men. Send them to Desert Fire AFB, our fighters will escort them to the area. Thank you for the assistance.
IC: Bendat, Central Shenyang:
Another series of airborne attacks had not stopped the terrorists in the city. Today another set of attacks were scheduled. Today all the stops were being pulled out. If it carried a gun and was smaller than a Blackhawk it was airborne. All of Patriarch was airborne toward the target area. Crack Comanche pilots composed the entire flight of 6 RAH-66s. They knew exactly what they could and couldn't do and they fufilled their missions in typical style. The black Comanches were striped with red in certain places to distinguish them.
"Patriarch 1 to all gunships, report status."
"Patrirach 2, standing by"
"Patriarch 3, standing by"
"Patriarch 4, standing by"
"Patriarch 5, no damage here"
"Patriarch 6, no problems on our end"
Their ETA was twenty minutes, no problems had occurred yet. The streets seemed to calm for a warzone. In fact they were totally empty.
The General got off the phone and quickly sent out the order to begin deployment, “Ok boys we have been given the green light, get your asses in those transports now!!” one of the Brigade’s Colonels yelled to his troops. In less than thirty minutes the whole brigade was inside their respective transport planes and ready to go, all they needed was clearance for take-off, which came soon after. Finally the C-5 Galaxy Transport Planes went underway toward Shenyang territory, specifically toward Desert Fire AFB.
Some 10 F-22 Raptors were providing escort to the aerial convoy, at least until the Shenyang planes took over as escort. It was going to be long trip of at least some 6 hours, not counting the time to return home after they finished their job. General Taylor was sitting inside the last C-5 cargo plane of the aerial convoy, reading and analyzing maps of the city and its surroundings, all provided by one of the many Commonwealth satellites in orbit. “Lets see how our boys fare in real combat” the General whispered before closing his eyes for some shuteye, it was going to be long tri

IC:
"Patriarch to Command, the area is hot, we count atleast 25 improvised AA units in the target area. Respond."
"Affirmative Patriarch, we have a fighter squadron inbound already."
"Confirmed, I see them now."
4 FA-1010 Broadsword fighters flew over the Comanche's at extremely low altitude. They dropped 24 500lb. bombs into the target area, each finding it mark. For 24 bombs they destroyed all 25 targets. This left the area safe for the Comanches to perform their mission.
"Patriarch 1, this is Vandal, can you confirm the destruction of all the targets?"
"Affirmative Vandal, you were dead on."
"Thanks, Flight 1, return to base."
The FA-1010s broke off and flew off toward the north, back to their base.
The Comanches swooped into the area, through the swirl of smoke that the bombs had created. They broke formation and began engaging targets at their own discretion. They destroyed everthing they came across, be it man or machine. Vehicles exploded and men fell all around the helicopters, taking a significant amount fire, but not being effected by any of it. Another target area was left in ruin by the Comanches of Patriarch.

IC:
"Pheanixian transports, this is Flight 1, we're here to escort you to the base."
4 FA-1010 Broadsword fighters moved into formation around the transports. The planes were utterly unknown to most of the world, an enigmatic design that comprised most of the SAF, a rather reclusive military branch in its own right. They were emblazoned with jet black bodies, totally unadorned, except that their tail was crimson, as were the areas around the intakes and the leading edge of their wings. They bore an emblem that was equally enigmatic, a Black Eagle swooping down, talons outstretched. This was the symbol of the Shenyang flight demo team, also known as Flight 1. The Broadswords themselves were fully armed with a full complement of AIM-9X Sidewinders, AIM-120 AMRAAM Slammers, and AIM-54C Phoenix-3s, no airbone threat was a match for these pilots with these wepaons.
They escorted the transports to an airbase approximately 3 miles from Bandat. The main battlefield thus far. Luckilly for the Pheanixians the ground offensive into the city was scheduled for the next day, notmuch waiting to make them nervous about fighting an enemy that dodged in and out of shadows and used the very land itself to its advantage. Nor to worry about the booby traps that were expected by the Shenyangi ODST, the advanced guard to enter the city first, and clear the initial entrance of threats, followed immediately by the marines and Pheanixians.
“Roger that, Flight 1” The lead F-22 Raptor pilot said signaling to his wing mates to back off and let the Shenyangians take over guard duty. “Well boys looks like we have been relived, back to base everyone”. The 10 F-22 Raptors quietly change directions and started the long trip home, its pilots thankful that they survive to fight another day. Now it was up to the Pheanixian ground forces to help out their Shenyangians friends.
The transports continued their route to the airbase assign to them in few minutes they would start offloading their precious cargo before refueling and going back home to the Commonwealth. The cargo planes landed without a hitch and took off the same way; the Urban brigade unloaded quickly not being the large force the Pheanixian were accustomed to send over, the plane crew finish their work rather quickly.
Finally on the ground General Taylor ordered the Brigade forward toward the outskirts of Bandat, a city held by the terrorists. The infantrymen either got inside the IFV or hoped on the back of the tanks, it was a sight to behold; many of the men were joyous and ready for some action. The M1A2 tanks took the lead followed by the IFV’s and Bradley’s, it was going to be the Brigade’s first battle and they were ready, even the skepticals back in the Ministry of Defense had high hops for this unit.

"Well, for a group of men about to enter one of the most dangerous areas on Earth, your men certainly seem... confident." The Colonel who greated them said, "Not that that's a bad thing, its just somewhat, abnormal. Anyway, it looks like you're using M1A2s and some IFVs. Looks like you're in luck. Bandat is one of the few places that you can actually get an MBT into citiwise in Shenyang. We're bringing in the big guns too. Take a look at this."
An M1A9 Emperor Abrams rolled up at 71mph, screeching to a halt.
"Pinnacle of Shenyangi ground engineering. These will be supporting your men. You'll also have aircover from the SAF and the Shenyang Airborne on call. These guys aren't gonna take anything lying down, so we just want to warn you now. Don't worry, their still not on par with a real army, theres just a lot of them."
"Your men can stay here," gestures to a point on the map, "We aren't starting the ground attack for a few hours, so if your men want to rest they can."
The Colonel turned and hopped onto the M1A9 and gave the gesture to move. The tank began moving away, back to the area it had come from.
The ground attack would begin at dawn.
“They look like a bunch rookies to me” General Taylor grunted as he began to signal his colonels to keep the men in line. All joyous yells and shouts ceased as the colonels and sergeants started barking orders and organizing the Brigade for the upcoming attack, the terrorist would soon succumb to the might of Pheanixian forces. The Shengyangian tank amazed the General, “Nice piece of equipment you got there Colonel” he remarked as the machine screeched to a halt.
The General listened to the instructions of the Shengyang Colonel; a smile formed up on his lips as soon as he heard the attack would begin soon. “It appears we arrived just in time” he said gesturing one his aids to relay come near, “Jason tell the platoon leaders to move their men to this position” the general said showing the place on the map. The soldier responded with a clear, “Sir, yes Sir” before relying his orders to the platoon leaders.
“See you soon Colonels, hope those terrorist at least put up a good fight” General Taylor said as the Shengyang Colonel rode away on the M1A9. A jeep was waiting for him, to take him toward the Brigades destination; soon they would enter the city and rid it of enemy presence. “James hurry up, we need to set up the camp. The attack begins at dawn” General Taylor said to his driver as he wanted to set up his HQ before the attack began.

IC:
It was just before dawn, a light mist hung in the air, and it obscured what the airborne was doing. They were inserting an eight man team of ODST into the sewers of the city. They would use it to enter the city undetected.
Each man dropped into the large pipe, about 8 feet in diameter and made a final check of his gear. Each was armed with an MP5A5 and a MK. 23 SOCOM, standard CQB equipment for the ODST. They slowly began their insertion. Moving as a unit, totally silent through the tunnel they methodically moved forward, checking and rechecking everything they passed, anything down here could be booby trapped, and they weren't taking any chances. No traps were uncovered during this insertion. It seemed that the terrorists hadn't thought that the military was actually willing to move through a sewer, or that there was any access to it from outside the city. They had specific instructions to stealth to the 5th street sewer main and then eliminate all threats in the area. They had planned out the entire assault, from start to finish. They reached the designated sewer main cover.
Revenant, the team leader moved up the ladder to the cover first. He pushed up slightly on the cover, just enough to fit a fiber-optic camera through. He surveyed the area. They would enter an empty alleyway; from there they would clear the surrounding buildings. He pulled back the camera and slid back down the ladder. He gave the signal to follow him up; the team made one final check of their equipment and then slowly and quietly made their way up to the surface.
They emerged into the feeble light and quickly took notice of the surroundings. This is where the team split, the first half moved into the building on the left, the second on the right. As they entered the buildings their senses went to an even higher alert. They could almost sense the area around them; sense the danger that may wait.
Team A began clearing rooms one at a time. There weren’t any rebels in the first few rooms, however once they reached the front half of the building the enemy presence dramatically increased. They breached a room, and silently eliminated the “soldiers” inside. They always closed the door behind them, to hide their infiltration. After eliminating the men in the room they heard a sound outside. One man was walking toward their room. They moved into defensive positions and waited, he didn’t pause. Then Revenant gave the signal that he was taking this guy down. He silently moved forward, opening the door and slipping in behind the man who had passed, his knife drawn. He grabbed him and slit his throat. The man crumpled to the floor. Revenant dragged him back into the room he’d just left. They continued to clear the building, bottom to top; they had systematically wiped out an entire 3 story building of enemies in approximately 45 minutes.
At the same time this was happening Team B was clearing their building. The skill of the teams was considered a dying art, total silence and deadly skill, the hallmark of most Special Forces of the previous generation were being replaced in other nations by genetically-altered creatures designed to overpower an enemy without the finesse of the well-trained human soldier. Team B eliminated the enemy in almost the same way as their counterparts next door. In a matter of about one hour there were approximately 30 casualties on the terrorist side, and they didn’t even know it. Now they returned to the windows they’d entered by and reentered the sewers, they moved through the tunnel to the alley directly across the street. Another clear alley and another set of clean, silent kills. At the top floor of Team A’s second building Revenant set a signal, he set up a covert transmitter that would send the command center a go ahead to attack, it was hidden in under the floor boards of the room that overlooked the street. Once they were back in the sewer Revenant would trip the transmitter, and the fireworks would begin.
The teams entered the sewer and moved to a position that would put them directly in the middle of the street. Revenant triggered the transceiver and he and his team disappeared through the sewer back to base.

OCC: going to post like I also received the signal
IC:
The General and his staffs were planning how should they proceed against the terrorist when the covert signal came over on the radio given to them by a Shengyang officer a few minutes before. “Guess its time” the general remarked before giving out orders for the mobilization of the Brigade. The tanks were started up again, the men lined up behind them as the Bradleys and IFV flanked the force, all ready to move out. General Taylor exited his makeshift Command Center and proceeds to inspect his personal Brigade, finding everything in order he quickly gave the order to move out.
The Urban Brigade moved out on a wedge formation, the tanks up in front to take the brunt of the attack and dish out the most damage. The General observed it all from one of the two Apaches the brigade brought with them, “now lets see what these terrorists can do” the general said as he motion the pilot to stay behind the formation. The other helicopter was flying escort to the General, although it could help out the brigade in a cinch with its deadly arsenal.
OCC: how heavy will the resistance be? Also Im assuming Im attacking from one point and you from another.

09-03-2005, 21:36
OOC: The initial resistance isn't going to be too tough, but as we move further into the city it will get progressively stronger.
IC: The signal was recieved by the Shenyangi Command Center. They authorized the attack. A team of 4 Emperor Abrams, 4 M-3 Bradleys and 2 Strykers moved toward the city. They were arrayed in a column, the easiest formation to sustain in the urban situation. More vehicles would follow, this was the intial force.
The lead vehicle, an Emp. Abrams codenamed Black-2 enterred the city and began scanning the surrounding buildings for resistance, any muzzle flashes would be fired upon, and the 125mm ETC gun that it carried wasn't taking prisoners. As they passed the first intersection a small enemy patrol openned fire, Black-2 turned the TCIWS system that it mounted to face the aggressors, the commander openned up with the minigun and mowed down the resistance, ahead a hastilly armored bus blocked the column's path, a shell from Black-2's main gun was fired. The impact was rather spectacular, it hit and the bus literally split in half, it must have been packed with high explosives, meanwhile White-5, a Bradley was encountering resistance, a pickup with a machine gun on the back was racing toward it at high speed, firing as it approached, White-5 openned up with its gun, and 25mm rounds tore into the vehicle, killing the crew and a moment later blowing the vehicle itself, it flipped end over end as its burning wreck screeched to a halt a few feet from the column. Behind the armored column a platoon of infantry was securing the area, they set claymores in the sewers to prevent their use by the enemy and each building was thoroughly cleared by the soldiers. By the end of the first 10 minutes there were approximately 25 dead, not counting the ODSTs' kills and the attacks from the helicopters.
An M1A2 was leading the way into the city, its cannon awaiting silently the moment to let loose its might. At first the city appeared empty, like a ghost town, as not a soul could be seen. But as the Pheanixian forces made their way into the city, a small group of terrorist sprang from behind a ruined building, firing their mix batch of weapons at them, from Ak’s to M14’s.
The infantrymen quickly went for cover as the bullets started ricocheting as they impacted the armor of the lead tank. The Abram Tank came to life firing a lone shot from its 120 ((its 120mm right?)) ETC main gun, the cannon shell eradicated the small group of terrorist in front of the column almost as fast they first appeared.
Resistance was coming light for now, but the commanders new that all could change in a heart bit. Most of the soldiers were task with securing the building they passed, and so they were going from room to room systematically eliminating any enemy resistance they encounter. It was a tough job but someone needed to do it, although an occasional tank shot was called into action to eliminate the heavier resistance the infantry encountered. All in all at least some 40 casualties had been inflicted on the enemy, with only two Pheanixian soldiers wounded. The so called Urban Brigade was proving to have been a fruitful undertaking by the Commonwealth Forces.

The area that the armored force had enterred was considered a high risk zone. This area was filled with RPG armed soldiers, no threat to the Emperor Abrams, but a death sentence for their lighter bretheren. As a result the force moved carefully. A van skidded around a corner about 2 blocks ahead and began accelerating toward the heavy armor. The force openned up, in this theater there would be no mercy for those who directly threatened Shenyangi troops or equipment. A salvo of 125mm ETC and 25mm APFSDS tore into the van, it exploded in a fireball that shook the streets.
"Black-2, Black-2, respond, what happened Black-2?"
"Command, this is Black-2, a van bomb just attacked us, we took 'em out, but he created one hell of a fireball. All units report in."
All the units reported as undamaged. The armored force proceeded forward, wary of every building and street corner.
OCC: they are upgraded Abrams just older models, thinking of upgrading them soon though.
IC:
The armored Pheanixian column continued on its way down the road killing the occasional foolish man that fired upon them. It was getting really boring for them as they thought terrorist would at least fight harder than this survived. Suddenly bullets started flying in all direction as a large concentration of enemy troops appeared out of nowhere. The infantrymen dived for cover behind the tanks and Bradley’s, fighting back fiercely, the gunner of the lead tank started laying down suppressing fire with the machinegun on top of the tank trying to give the soldiers a chance to get behind cover and fight back.
A fierce firefight ensued, almost by instinct two squads were sent to occupy the second floor of two different buildings to get a better view of the enemy positions. Even under the heavy rain of bullets the men did their job and began to fire down on the enemy soldiers opening a threw way fight with them. Overwhelmed with firepower the enemy soldiers either retreated or fell dead where they stood but not before managing to fire an RPG round at one of the squads up in the second floor. The results were devastating as the whole floor cave in, burring the Pheanixian soldiers, a tragic death for the brave soldiers.
The man who fired that shot didn’t live long, as a round from the tanks 120mm ETC gun teared through his position. The lead Abram continue on, its commander checking his surroundings as to get caught in an ambush this deep in the city. The infantry closed ranks behind the armored column and continue securing buildings they passed, but specially on the lookout for any more terrorist that might be arm with an RPG.
Time to make these terrorists sound like a bit more fun... LOL, yes I a finally here, ready to make your 'capture' of this city not so pleasureable...
SOMEWHERE WITHIN THE CITY, CLOSER TO THE CITY CENTRE
TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT! BANG! TAT TAT TAT! WHOOOSH-BANG! TAT TAT TAT!
The sounds of war filled the air as a man known as Karl Brennitz calmly walked through the facility he was in and made some final preparations on a laptop computer. His body was wreathed in a black trench-coat, typical of people of his position within his own military, and in his free hand he held a sinister example of his home countries prized weaponry, a G36K carbine, traditional weapon of his master. For the last eight years, he and a fellow agent had been working throughout this area, though the reasons why he was really in this country were known only to him and his fellow agent, to all else they were the local ambassadors...
"Computer on" he said, a small microchip that was on all the time registered his voice, and the laptop turned on. The symbol of his master company bearing on the desktop, "engage outer defence perimetre, airborne targets only, ambush setting" As he said this, a schematic of their building came up, on each end, a red silhouette of a powerful 35mm AA autocannon, and a single quadruple barrel ADATS missile launcher, began to flash in signiture of readiness for action... whoever tried to take this place would have one hell of a fight on their hands...
All of a sudden, the perimetre radar detected an incoming vehicle, another schematic displayed on screen, it was one of the enemy Shangyanian M1 Abrams tanks. By this time, the autocannon and the ADAT System had detected threat and were screaming to be engaged. "ADATS, engage target... computer, wipe all records of host activities in this building in fifty seconds..."
As Karl said that, he looked out the window, apart from the M1 tank *which was about to have a very bad day thanks to Karl's command* there was a swarm of infantry cramming around the vehicle... looking into a small crate beside the window *strategically placed for just this situation* Karl pulled out th MG3 machine gun inside, almost subconciously ran through the checking and safety runs, then pulled the trigger...
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!!!!!!! The deafening sound of the MG3 firing in the small rooom sounded just like someone was ripping carpet, and the results on the enemy infantry were just as effective...
TWENTY SECONDS UNTIL RECORD ERASURE... came the voice of the laptop.
Dropping the MG3 after firing a few more bursts Karl began to hustle towards the underground parking bay. As he paced down the stairwell he could hear voices in the bay... the enemy was already inside! Drawing on breath before he entered the bay he checked his magazine, took one more breath and then burst through the door, spraying haphazardly in all directions...
He didn't see the lone soldier he had missed in his first random burst, didn't see as he carefully lined up the seemingly crazy gunman that was firing randomly in the vain hope of hitting him and his friends. Didn't feel the bullet that crashed into his skull, and never felt the heat of the explosion as over a ton of explosives that were built into the room above were detonated so as to wipe the records...
Never knew of the incriminating pieces of paper that survived the blast...

Black-4, an M1A9 was rolling along in a patrol of an area that hadn't been cleared yet, he had an M-3 Bradley with him for infantry support. It rounded a corner and a moment later the incoming missle alarm sounded.
"Oh Hell! ADADTS launch bearing 000, Griffon is coming online, aquiring, this is gonna be close!"
The Griffon TCIWS activated and aquired the inbound missle, after the lock was established it openned up with the minigun that was the heart of the system, a cloud of lead sprayed into the air, tearing the missle apart a meer 20 feet from the front of the tank. It showered the tank with tiny metal fragments. The Bradley, Green-1 released its infantry, they moved to fire as a seemingly insane man with an M3 machine gun ran out of the building. He fired, and 5 of the men went down, however the 1 man who had survived was qualified as a sharpshooter. He lined up the murderous gunman in the sights of his AK-110C carbine, he fired a single round, it buried itself in the gunman's skull. As he fell the building he'd left exploded in a fireball. The infantryman, Gunnery Sgt. Micheal Kawalsky grabbed ammo from his dead comrades and against orders moved forward without cover.
He fired on everything that moved, a terrorist who was looking out a door to see what had happened made very close friends with Kawalsky's AK-110C, as a 7.62x39mm round hit him and he crumpled to the ground, a sniper on a roof top met his fate on the recieving end of a 10 round automatic burst. As Kawalsky reached the building he found that there were several documents that had survived the explosion. He took them and hid them in his uniform, he'd hand them in at base. All ttogether he found 20 pages of intelligence on the terrorists.
The Pheanixians heard the explosion from afar; all they could see was the smoke cloud coming at them. “Take cover” shouted a sergeant, signaling his men to entered the Bradley’s and IFV to protect themselves from falling shrapnel and what could be a poisonous gas cloud. The armored column stood still for a few minutes as the cloud dissipated, the men went outside after a making sure that the air was clean. Colonel Hank, commander of this column, radio back to General Taylor about the happenings. Tt was almost unnecessary to do that as the General saw everything that happened, as he was over flying the city in his Apache.
The General quickly sent one of his armored columns to that position to lend any help to the Shengyang operating in the area. The terrorist were getting more fierce and dangerous the close they got to the center, even though they weren’t trained like the Pheanixians or shengyangs soldiers they were a rather persistent bunch. Pestering the allied forces every time they could get, but at least hey were being eradicated and corned into the center of the city by the allied forces. It was time for the General to utilize his heavy weapons, mainly the 467th Artillery of the Urban Brigade stationed outside the city, “Colonel Hugh begin the bombardment” General Taylor said to the colonel.
Not even five minutes had passed when the all too familiar sound of artillery shells started, the 155mm Howitzer concentrating their attack on the center of the city. The two MRLS’s truck in battalion also opened fire sending two volleys each spread out in the center of the city, wanting to kill as many terrorist as possible before the ground troops arrived there. Secretly they were hoping that the terrorist would succumb to the might of the military sent against them, but that hope hadn’t come t fruition…yet.

*Whizzing sound*
"Huh, I know that sound... Artillery Fire! Everyone, in the vehicles, NOW!" yelled the recently promoted Lt. Kawalsky.
The soldiers piled into the Bradleys and Strykers, however after it was confirmed that the artillery fire was not aimed in their direction it was decided that they would move forward carefully. Ahead a building full of enemy soldiers blocked the column's advance, a Comanche attack was called in to eliminate the threat.
"Patriarch-1 to Black-2, we are inbound, could you illuminate the target for us, its awful messy down there."
"Affirmative, illumination should commence in a moment."
A soldier with a grenade launcher moved from the cover of his Bradley to a destroyed car 15 feet away, he lined up the shot and fired a 40mm strobe grenade toward the foot of the building. It landed and activated.
"Illumination confirmed, we're right above you, cover your ears boys. Patriarch-2 fire at will."
"Affirmative, engaging at my discretion sir."
The Comanches opened up with the rocket pods that they were equipped with, rockets began pouring into the building. The building slowly crumbled under the relentless stream of "dumb" rockets. The building crumbled and the Comanches borke off to return to base. At this time the armored column sent to assist the force arrived, they were integrated into the assault force, their MBTs supplementing the already formidable fire power and the other vehicles were put into the center of the formation, along with the Strykers and Bradleys where they would be protected from enemy anti-tank fire. The joint force now moved forward, clearing a path as they went.

Yep, we're still a little short handed, and this will probably drag on a while, this city is the only first battle. So you're welcome to join.
WITHIN THE CITY, AS FIGHTING DRAWS CLOSER TO THE CENTRE...
For Tobias Granden, the second of the intelligence troopers from the unknown faction within the area, his war would soon be over...
"ARTILLERY FIRE! TAKE COVER!" He yelled as the high pitched whine signalled the incoming rocket artillery, even as he ran back inside the building he was fighting from he felt the searing blasts of heat from the exploding muntions. He felt the pieces of masonry as the roof a few metres away caved in from a direct hit.
As the rocket hi the building, Tobias had a flashback to a few moments back, when he heard the demise of his fellow intelligence agent... he had died trying to protect his nations interests, but it had been to no avail, for Tobias had seen the enemy trooper pick up the remaining pages, yet surprisingly, rather than giving them directly to the commanding officer, he had shoved them down his shirt... tension within the ranks?
For the moment though, nothing mattered except staying alive, and making sure he could get to the radio... in the street below was one of the enemies powerful tanks, he had seen it easily defeat the Anti-Tank and Air Defence System (ADATS) built into the headquarters, now, Tobias had to defeat this one to get back to the radio shack...
He checked his greatcoats temperature reading again... by contrast to what one would expect, the greatcoat was not their just as a cosmetic application. The gretcoat was actually a special ceramo-plated light adaptive chameleon cloak that was bulletproof up to heavy machine calibre, and when activated could make the wearer almost invisible to both infra-red and naked eye optronics. Though it did consume horrendous amounts of power to perform at peak performance, and was still largely untried in combat, what combat it had seen today had proven the design a hundred times over. At more than one stage of the day already Tobias had been lucky enough to stand still long enough to have enemy troops within hairs breadth continue on their way... much to his thankfulness...
Now, the cloak would do little for him, the enemy tank was just too big and simply had to be removed from the scene... Tobias looked around, there had to be something he could use!
Looking around again, he noticed something that missed his eye before... a rocket launcher, the RPG-29 felt strange in his hands, and he had never recieved foreign weapons training on this design, but the basics were the same as any rocket launcher... point and pray...
Carefully switching to optronics mode on the greatcloak, Tobias faded out of view and began to silently stalk forward, despite having the suit for almost three months now, he was still mesmerized whenever he watched the sparkling effects as his body was enveloped in a lightning-like effect and then faded out of sight... he lined up the enemy tank and fired... HE NEEDED TO PASS!

"Missle! No time for the Griffon! Brace for impact!" yelled the commander of Black-11 an Emp. Abrams
The Emp. Abrams automatically sealed the ammunition compartment, and the armor, being significantly heavier than a standard Abrams, would have to withstand the impact. The missle hit and the tank shuddered the turret armor had held, but just barely, one more hit and Black-11 would be finished. Luckilly, it wasn't far to a Shenyang controlled section of the city, from there his team would fall back to command and get repairs, Black-11 was one of the few Emp. Abrams that didn't have the upgraded bolt on armor for the entire tank, it only had armor on the sides, front, and rear. That would be remedied after the primary armor was repaired. At this time at Desert Fire AFB fleet of C-5s were landing carrying supplies and some new toys, 20 of Soviet Bloc's ST-21 MBTs. Recently aquired and about to be field tested in what was being called the most deadly tourist trap in the world, next to the Nerve Gas Testing Hut in an area of Shenyang that was widely considered to be beyond help from the government, unless the government chose to destroy the area and rebuild something useful there.

Having witnessed the missle attack of scope, and due to the fact that Patriarch-1's gunner was a sucker for IR imaging he knew exactly where the missle had come from. On his scope he saw a vaguely human shape with a long tube over his shoulder. He fired at the image with his gattling gun until it was no longer visible, it was unknown to him whether the shooter was dead, or had some how survived and escaped. He then provided escort to Black-11 and its team as it returned to the Shenyang controlled zone.
The missile shot had been clean and concise, he had had the chameleon suit on full activity, and yet he had still got the attention of the blasted enemy gunship. How was it possible!? Why did it happen? How did it happen? And most importantly... how was he going to stop the bleeding?
The enemy Comanche's hail of cannon fire had been mostly ineffective, thaks primarily to the optic camoflauge, yet he had still recieved a number of hits, and one unfortunate strike from a 20 millimetre shell had seen a large piece of masonry embedded within his thigh, making his left leg all but useless.
Having dropped the RPG, he had been left behind by the Comanche *who hopefully believed he was dead* and the enemy tank, suffering severely from the direct rocket hit, had gone...
Slowly crawling his way forward, Tobias pulled out his pistol and began to slump across the street, thankfully for him, the enemy was too preoccupied with the sudden loss of its tank to field repair, and now were staying put and awaiting the arrival of new armoured support... it was the only chance he had to cross the street and get to the radio.
With his failing strength he gradually pulled himself painfully across the street, the bitumen digging into his thighs and seeing his leg being further damaged. A trail of blood marking his progress, a trail that would lead to his death...
Somehow though, whether it be sheer or luck or pure cunning, Tobias made it to his radio set...
He dialled in the frequency required to talk to home, and pressed the button...
"Base, this is Siren 2, facility is destroyed, resistance group has started revolution early, repeat... the revolution is now... Operation Viper Fang in progress with premature start... request Operation Amendment Victor Sierra Five Five be implemented..." Tobias collected his breath before he continued... "Position is compromised, am about to complete final erasure... for power my brethren!"
He initated the self-destruct sequence of the radio, and as it burned its internal circuitry out of existence, he aimed the pistol at the door, making sure he had a round left for himself... they would get nothing from him, he would make sure of it...

Official Response:
By all means send your forces, have them sent to Desert Fire AFB, the closest base to the fighting, we'll give them a destination from there.
IC:
"Sir, an enemy missle just damaged Black-11, he's inbound for repairs. I suggest we send an ODST sqaud through the sewers to the area, there may be something there that could be of use."
"Make it so soldier."
The 3rd ODST team, lead by a soldier codenamed Revelation were inbound to the area. They had enterred the sewers just beyond the Shenyang controlled zone and were moving to the area of the missle attack, they were armed with MP-5A5s and HK-33A4s and had more flash grenades than would ever be necessary. Their plan was to infiltrate the building that was across the street from the attack building, hoping that the assailant was still in the area. They exited the sewer at a lid that was directly next to the target area. They enterred the building covertly through a side door. The building was dead silent, accept that a sound like heavy breathing was coming from the upper floor. They silently moved up the stairs and began listening for the source of the sound, down the hall to the left. They moved with utter stealth until they were sure they were next to the target room. They moved into position around the door, no one infront of it incase their was someone waiting to shoot on the other side. Revelation openned the door as the rest of his team threw flash grenades into the room, this meant approximately 5 flash grenades went off in immediate succession within the room, enough to stun or incapacitate any man on the face of the planet, short of a deaf, blind man.

OOC: While I wait for Akrozia to respond I'll start a diverging story.
IC: The 50 ST-21's had arrived the previous day, and after a quick prep they were ready to enter the city. They were to be known as teams: Red and Blue. Red-1 moved into the point position for a new push into the city from a different direction. His team consisted of 25 ST-21s as did Blue, enterring the city approximately 3 miles away. They were armed tothe teeth with a full complement of weapons. The guns were loaded with HE rounds, no sense wasting anything high tech on an enemy whose heaviest vehicle was a stripped down parking shuttle with a few .50s on the back. It would just be overkill to a wasteful degree. On the order from Command, Red and Blue began advancing into the city.

Before the ST-21s reached the city's edge they were greeted by a welcome surprise, a Broadsword fighter swept in low and dropped a fuel air explosive onto the area where the tanks would enter the city, instantly the blocks that bordered their path, the buildings crumbled into dust, atleast ths meant the the initial insertion would be uninterupted by enemy attack.

After Weeks in route to the battlefield, the Kratloctostanian forces arrived nearby the battlefield.
"Comon get moving get moving."Commanded Col.Drakov Leader of the Force sent into the country.
He walked up to an Officer in his allies Forces,Saluted and asked "Where are we needed my friend?"
OOC: My apologies for the lateness of the reply, but my military training does get in the way of this and needless to say, has to come first!
IC:
Akrozian mainland, some two thousand kilometres from the scene of combat...
The messenger threw open the door from his motorcade and raced towards th gleaming white building that was the Akrozian High Chambers, even with the special soundproofing he could still hear the racous being made by the thousand odd members of th Akrozian council as they argued over yet another needless piece of ruling or court restriction... most of what was done here was simply a fallacy, a dream to keep the people happy, most knew where the real power of Akrozia lay, and it was exactly where this messenger was headed as he raced past the council chambers and further into the darker hallways of th Chambers...
The atmosphere of the chambers changed significantly as the messenger opened the doors at the end of the corridor. The first thing the messenger noticed was the complete abscence of decoration, save a row of armoured suits that were set up on mannequins to provide a further element of menace to the already disturbing chamber...
And in the middle of this all sat a man in a dark black robe, his eyes burning with the power of a man who knew he had an entire nation under his will...
"My lord, news from our operations in Shenyang" the messenger awaited a reply, hearing none, he dared to continue speaking. "Our agents in the area have been killed or captured, we are not sure. But if we wish to take advantage of the situation we must do so now as the enemy has compromised our plans..."
For the first time in the whole message, Akrozian leader Gregor Maxim spoke... "Tell General Braxton to prepare the men... Operation Viper Fang is to begin immediately..."
...
SOMEWHERE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF AKROZIAN BORDERS, SOMEWHERE UNDER THE AKROZIAN DESERT PLAINS
As the desert winds howled across the plains outside, Pilot Officer Peter Tragart watched as the wind systems inside the underground hangar blew across the sand covered aircraft that had just landed on the hidden runway outside. To the unknowing eye, this place looked like any other stretch of desert. A long flat plain with a few sand hills dotting here and there... but for those who knew, this was Airbase 12, and those small sand hills each housed either a powerful 35mm cannon arrangement, or an equally powerful MICA missile defence turret...
Inside the facility sat some of Akrozia's best fighters, powerful Rafael interceptor aircraft, along with their Interdiction variants. Peter looked on as the engineers loaded a flight of the aircraft with their final cruise missiles, he was watching a scene that was being played out across another twenty similar bases that were in this region... very soon the first acts of Akrozia's great campaign would be authorised, and the area would be plunged headfirst into war.

OOC: Don't worry, its not a problem. I imagine that training would have to come first.
IC:
The officer took out a map and unfolded it.
"We currently have men enterring the city here, here and here. Allied forces have enterred here, and we would like you to begin your attack here." He said as he pointed to the Southernmost section of the city, "They should put up to much of a fight until you get close to the center, but be on the look out. We have reports that there may be a foreign power that is either supplying or directly aiding the terrorists, so we can't be sure anymore of exactly what they have weaponwise."
Meanwhile, Red-1 was enterring the city, he activated all combat systems and moved slowly, making sure to investigate any strange movements, these tanks would definitely survive more punishment than the standard M1A9, but that was being fixed at the moment. As expected the area hit by the FAE was totally devoid of life. After clearing the area they prepared to move into enemy territory.

OOC: From your post is it safe to assume that 5 flashbang greandes incapacitated your man?
OOC: Yeah, seeing as 1 flashbang makes for a world of hurt... five'll do just fine!
IC: Tobias awoke with a start, his brow a mixture of cold sweat and dust... what the hell happened to him? And why did his head hurt so much, let alone the fact that he could hardly see from his eyes! He went to wipe the sweat off his brow... only to find that his hands were bound together.
It was at this time he began to recall sketchy pieces of memory... seeing the door open slightly, and watching as the five grenades came rolling in, the flashing blindness, and him being dragged away...
"Flashbangs... shit" was all Tobias could mutter before he lapsed back into unconciousness, the last thought on his mind being 'how the heck can I get out of this one...?"
MEANWHILE, IN AKROZIA
The desert sands still lay undisturbed as another sandstorm swept across the plains, but under the desert, a few hundred metres down in fact, the area was a hive of activity. Powerful tanks, Armoured Personnel Carriers, even the new Advanced STO/VL Transports were being moved to front line starting points via the cavernous undergound networks built into the Akrozian empire. For a country that was rapidly increasing in size, manual labour to build these impressive tunnels had not been too hard to find, and now, thanks to the relentlessness of the Akrozian government to have everything ready for this moment, the invasion would come as a complete surprise to the target...
"Sir," a young officer said to one of the generals who sat in an underground control tower, "the aerial assault squadrons are ready for action. Also, the final allotment of Barrens class STO/VL assault transports is in place with the 323nd airborne." The young man took in a breath and said... "all units are awaiting the order from you sir... permission to begin Operation Viper Fang?"
"Begin the assault..." the officer saluted and ran off... the general looked down at an LCD screen, it had a display of a column of tanks driving through one of the underground passages to their conflict starting point... "let's show these Shenyang boys what happens when you get in the way of Akrozia!" The general muttered to himself.
A FEW HOURS LATER
The desert sands had lain dormant for years, all of a sudden, a single small red light popped out of the sand and begin to flash red, whilst a buzzer on top blared a warning that made a nearby lizard scurry to a rock...
The sand suddenly heaved into the air as if struck by a giant hammer, then blasted everywhere as a huge hundred metre long by twenty metre wide hatch sprang to life and opened up... inside, on the underground runway, sat an entire wing of the powerful Akrozian Barrens class Short Take Off/ Vertical Lnding airborne assault jets, huge transport planes designed to drop off airborne divisions and their assisting military hardware, and then stay on and provide support with its powerful 30mm cannon turrets and onboard cluster missile systems and heavy rocket pods.

After the Akrozian awoke he found himself in an interogation room, with a rather unfriendly man in a colonel's uniform was standing waiting for him.
"Let me put it this way sir," the interogator said, his voice as cold as ice, "you have been captured by the Shenyangi Airborne, one of the single most unforgiving military divisions on this planet. If you cooperate you will be treated as a guest, however if you lie to us, try to escape, or in anyway try to undermine Shenyang, you can bet your life will be living hell. Do we understand each other?"
He waited for a response, not getting any he continued anyway.
"Now, you were confirmed as the person who fired an RPG-29 at one of our tanks. I have to say that confirming it was you was a pain in the rear, but we found your fingerprints on the weapon in question. Do you admit that it was you?"
He waited for another response, then continued.
"Alright, I'm gonna ask you questions and if you answer truthfully we might be able to get you out of the rat hole that you're being kept in. Lets begin, what nationality are you? What is your mission and what is your government's goal in Shenyang? Answer the questions in any order, just warning you now, you're hooked up to a lie detector, and lying is only gonna make life worse for you, so if you cooperate you might even get out of here."
The interogator sat down in a chair and clicked on a light so that the prisoner was now in a rather uncomfortable spotlight. What the prisoner didn't know was that the interogation was being taped, and that between him and freedom there was an entire battalion, along with a quarter mile of soil with only one way out, an elevator that required retinal verification and was covered by CCTV.
Tobias looked around cautiously, his eyes picked up the door to the cell, the guards standing at it, and the rather ugly looking fellow in front of him Tobias rolled his eyes... "Great" he said to himself in his head... "back to basic training, this'll be easy" he sat and listened as the man in the uniform in front of him blabbered on about doing the right thing...
"As if" Tobias thought to himself as he gingerly fiddled with the palm of his hand.
His slow and deliberate scratching of the skin not really being noticed by the interregator *he was too busy going on with his good cop bad cop routine* Tobias eventually caused an irritation in his hand, and finally broke the skin... just what he had hoped to do, digging into his skin he felt the tiny hilt of the blade that was inserted within his palm, and slowly... carefully, pulled it out, lay it in his hand, and went to work on the ropes binding his hands... within seconds, his rope was cut.
Yet Tobias sat still and played the colonel's game... having been within the best of Akrozian Intelligence, it was a game that he had to be specifically trained in so as to defeat it. The polygraph pinged twice whilst the small test went on, once at his name, and once when he said that he was here as a diplomat. But fortunately, the Colonel did not bring about his threat of violence...
This time...
And so Tobias waited until he left the room... waited for the door to shut, and waited until the guards went about there business... then, and only then, would he even contemplate moving...
Until such time, he would play this game, and he'd play them as well...
OCC: sorry for not posting earlier, went out parting this weekend and now im broke until next week :p
IC:
The pheanixian forces continued seizing the parts of the cities assigned to them, killing any enemy soldiers they encountered without mercy. The Urban Brigade was performing magnificently for their first true battle, although the officers were already thinking about what could be done to better their effectiveness. Many men had died during the course of this operation, mostly terrorists and their supporters, although at least 30 pheanixians had perished with 15 MIA or WIA. For now the casualties were way below pheanixian standards for war.
While going back to camp to re-supply the Apache, General Taylor heard a short communication in the radio about a captured terrorist. “Nice, at least now we can know something about our enemies” the general commented hurrying the helicopter pilot, “let’s go soldier we got a lot of land to cover to the Shengyang HQ”. An hour later the Apache had been re-supply and re-armed, and was on its way toward the Shengyang operation HQ. The general wanted to asses the progress with a shengyang counter part, and further more verify if the capture of an enemy terrorist was true or just old soldiers wishes.
A few minutes later the Apache landed outside the Shengyang HQ, its co-pilots having radio in their arrival a couple of minutes earlier. General Taylor quickly exited the helicopter along with a squad, working as personal bodyguards in time like this, and proceeded to enter the allied HQ. “Lets see what out next objective might be” the general thought as he approach the building.

The Shenyangi Commander saw the Pheanixians approaching,
"Hey, we heard you reached your objective, nice work. We're working on some final pockets of resistance at the moment, if you could send men and equipment to assist ours that would be appreciated. Our men are located here, at the moment, so if you could send them assistance it would be great. And yes, I know I'm rather informal so you don't have to remind me. I guess you want to know if we did catch a terrorist, right? Well, we ain't sure what he is, all we know is he's foreign and he's responsible for an attack on one of our tanks. We've got our best man on it, but if you want to send soemone you can. Just a warning, it may be a little bloody. Okay, odds are that our man will do everything short of perform major surgery without sterilization. So, you can send someone, just make sure he's got a strong stomach."
He smiled at the Pheanixians and then was called away by a seargent in the command tent.
Meanwhile at the interogation room:
Now that the Colonel had done his "Bad Cop Routine" he could get serious. He'd been observing the prisoner, though he'd looked rather disinterested. He had noticed that this guy was hiding something, and that he fidgetted way too much for someone who didn't have a plan to try and escape. He left as a tactic, if this guy was going to do something it would be once he was gone and the guards were distracted. He watched, for 5 minutes, this guy didn't do a thing, a metal detector that was built into the room detected something odd however, at his wrists, where he'd fidgetted the most there was a reading that was just large enough to be some type of weapon. He reenterred the room.
"Okay, now you're coming with me." He said, all the "Bad Cop-ness" gone, "Guards! Blindfold this man."
2 guards enterred and blindfolded the captive.
"We're going on a field trip," the colonel said.
They walked him out of the room, then they took him and placed him on a gurney. They strapped him down, wrists up.
"Look at this sir." one of the guards said.
"I'll be damned, I knew it. Take him to the security processing room and get me my tools."
The guards took him down the hall a distance that couldn't be determined in a blindfold. They enterred a room and he heard equipment whir to life. They took him off the gurney and bound his hands with a plastic set of binders.
"Okay, walk forward. We're gonna make sure you aren't hiding any weapons from us, like those wrist blades. Don't worry, I'll make sure those come out, we wouldn't want you to hurt yourself." the colonel said with a distinct malice in his voice."
The guards pushed him forward, into a metal detector, it buzzed, as they'd thought it might.
"Okay, put him back on the gurney. I'll take care of those blades."
The colonel pulled a set of forceps from his bag and had the guards hold the man down. The blades was shallowly embedded in the "patient's" skin. The colonel removed them without any trouble. Then he turned nasty.
"Okay remove the blindfold. The prisoner found himself in a pitch dark room. the only light came from directly above the the colonel, directly above the prisoner. The colonel glared down at him. He stepped back.
"You lied to us, now if you don't tell us the truth, we can always just kill you. Or, I can torture you until you break, and the odds that you survive are still low. At the moment, a have a question for you, which do you think is gonna happen... thats right, you're mine. Now I'm gonna tell you this now. Those blades you had, well, their about to be turned on you. I'm gonna use them to injure you lightly, then I'll use one of these."
He pushed a tray of assorted rather frightening blades into view. The prisoner, who was strapped down would not be able to use them any way.
"Let's begin."
He took the blades from his prisoner and began to tap certain parts of his victim's body, mostly on the arms and legs, as if trying to decide on a place to cut. He knew the whole time though, where he'd make the cut.
He took the blade and dug it into the victim's arm, then he slowly cut along his arm for about an inch.
"You feel that? That's only a taste of what I'm gonna do." He then stepped back into the dark and orderred the prisoner brought back to the cell.

The general couldn’t help but chuckle at the remark about being informal, “Don’t worry about that here Colonel, formalities in the battlefield are unnecessary. My men will help out anyway they can, the city should be ours by nightfall. Since you insist, Sgt. Michaels here will be our observer in the interrogation of the prisoner.”
The sergeant saluted the Shengyang Colonel, before going over to his side to await transport to the interrogation facility. “Sir, Sgt. Michaels reporting for duty” the uptight soldier said to make sure the Colonel got his name.
As sudden as they arrived General Taylor and his bodyguards left the premises back toward the city to finally quell the ongoing pockets of resistance. On the way, the General radioed Colonel Aret to send his Column to quell the small pockets of resistance left in the city. The second Apache in the brigade joined the Generals’s when it approached the city, both going to help out the ground troops in eliminating the enemy soldiers left in the city. It would be a matter of time before the city was in Pheanixians and Shengyangs hands.
