I have huge mercenary forces that I RP with when necessary, available to hire for any nation that wants to. They indulge in a lot of piracy inbetween contracts.
I have lots of privateers with marque letters.

This nation is a FT nation of pirates, your good ol' fashioned clichéd variety of 'avast ye!' pirates to boot. Briefly, as I haven't yet posted the factbook I've written, it's a mirror-Earth of sorts on the exact opposite side of the galaxy. History progressed as it did on our own Earth, until about 1670. The various wars of the nations in the Caribbean never ended, and they continued to employ privateers. Privateers eventually became so rich and influential that they took control of the whole Caribbean when the European nations left. WW1 happened as normal, only America didn't exist. WW1 didn't end in 1918, and continued right up until about 1937. Nuclear weapons were invented, and Europe ended up taking the entire planet down with it -- except for the Caribbean. Privateers there continued on pillaging from each other, with each settlement acting as a seperate entity, until they ultimately took their ways into space. They don't generally steal from foreigners, though, just from independent merchants from the renamed 'Planet Caribbean'. They have a single, fairly large space ship funded by all the settlements combined called the 'Red Horizon', which is about 5km long and heavily armed. And it's red, surprise surprise. But this nation isn't ready to come out into the universe at large, just yet; too small.
