Axackal Border, West Axackal, Allanea

Brigadier-General Richtofen smiled as he watched the new installation being build, a monstrous system of turrets, walls, and troop quarters. The fortress, known as Fort Jefferson, was to be the first stronghold of the new Border Guard – a unit formed by the new Protecting Allanea’s Borders Act. The Border Guard would be officially a law-enforcment unit, funded out of Allanea’s law-and-order budget rather than it’s military budget. Brigadier-General Georgi Ivanovich Richtofen would be the commander of the first ever fortress of the Guard.

Fort Jefferson, positioned right in the middle of the Axackal border, was a veritable concrete porcupine. Decked out with 50 30-inch cannon and multiple MRLS missile laucnhers, as well as missile tubes ready to spit out Tomahawk missiles , it was about to become the center of the Axackal Line, the first in a series of enbankments, forts, and other stationary defenses to be placed around mainland Allanea, like a steel belt around the hips of a mighty warrior of old.

The fort began, really, five hundred meters inside the official borders of Allanea. This would allow the Allaneans to dedicate the rest of the area to other defense – such as landmines. Even now, hundreds Ariel Sharon combat bulldozers were at work along the border, building a monstrous – six-hundred-mile-long – anti-tank ditch on the very edge of the border. On the bottom of the ditch, anti-tank landmines were placed. At it’s northern tip, about a mile from the North Allanean Sea, another fort would be built – but that would have to be much later. On the news, a simple announcemend was made:

[I]Today, the United States Congress has decided to purchase large swaths of land on the Axackal border in order to create border fortifications for the new Border Guard…
