Cr-zzz--czzz-h this is a government broadcast.

This is an official announcement from Samuel Ferrene, Resquiden Foreign Minister, on behalf of the Prime Minister of Resquide and it's Parlaiment.

A government holds is right to power through this cycle: the people owe aleigiance to the government, and the government protects the people.

We have in our posession two videos showing gross acts of human rights abuse in the acts of these countries official governments. Refugee Annelle Moran will shortly be on air to bear witness to the horrifying events of her native country. Our country's policy has always been to mind our own business and assume others will do the same, but this is simply intolerable.

We therefore propose to establish a Worldwide League for the Defense of Human Rights, and we invite all free-minded nations to join us. We will NOT stand by and see innocent civilians stripped of their basic rights by the very governments that hold responsibility for their care. This is the essence of our proposed credo. We will begin by alerting the world to the atrocities committed in Stewronia and Urukku, and we shall make these so called governments treat their people like citizens - ALL their people. By force if we have to! Together we are strong! Join us, and see that official human rights abuse is stamped out wherever it rears its ugly head!

...

"Hi, my name is Annelle moran. A few months ago, I was living an ordinary life as a journalist in Urukku. When I was sacked from my job because my column appeared to show tolerance towards religions different from the National Lutheran Church of Urukku, I joined hundreds like me in a peaceful protest march. At least... it WAS peaceful, until the government sent soldiers to stamp it out. I saw a girl I barely knew, the girlfriend of a classmate, gunned down in cold blood along with dozens of others. I guess I'll never know her now. What was our crime? Merely a polite request for freedom of religion! I will not rest until Urukku is a true free democracy again!"

OoC: Good job, resquide. I'd post this on the site, but for some reason I can't go to my site, therefore I cannot change anything on it.
