Ooc- Alice was technically the first female governor-general (Mississippian Egypt in the late summer of 2004), but hey, that really doesn't count, if you followed the Roger Alice RP (if not, go read it now, great stuff :) ) you'd figure out she only got the job because Roger was interested in her. :D So anyway, the first woman in MS who gets a job not because of men giving her favors in hopes of getting something, but just from good ole nepotism.

Of course if you ask Roger if he fornicated with Alice, he surely won't remember, either from the fact that he can't remember (he did have a brain tumor for a few years, and then the whole getting shot in the head) and if he could remember it all, he'd deny it.

As for asking Alice, she'd likely not remember, because her gov't wiped her memory a few times. Anyway, it's all covered in the Roger-Alice RP and will be covered in more detail in the updates to come.

Anyway, without further delay, we bring you the announcement of the first woman governor-general who got her job for, well basically she got the job because I ran out of male Stahlecker characters who didn't already have jobs. But anyway.

Speaking via the White Peoples Radio and Television Network, the Czar, Roger Fabus, had the following to say.

"Today is a historic day for Mississippi and indeed our entire Commonwealth. I have made it clear that we are moving forward with great strides. Indeed we have added Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland, and Morocco to our Commonwealth, and these nations will be administered wisely and contribute greatly to our national prosperity.

As for the matters of governorship of the new territories, Zimbabwe has already been decided upon, Swaziland will be administered by South Africa, Morocco has been settled as well. This leaves only Mozambique, and I have already made my decision here as well. Morocco will be governed by Caroline Stahlecker. Not because she is a woman, and please, I implore you, do not interpret this as a sign of gender agitation or femi-communism.

This is merely something I thought would be best for the Commonwealth and would work well for Mozambique. So I appointed her to the position. Let us all wish her best of luck!"

East Canada is glad to see that Mississippi is at least somewhat moving forward in the direction of equality in the workplace. We believe that this is indeed a good idea.

"Good grief, you people annoy me. Everytime Roger or I do something involving a woman or an Arab from ME, you wet yourselves with excitement and proclaim "Horrah!" well I'm tired of it. Get off it already, we'll appoint who we want, when we want, how we want, and for the reasons we want."

Czarina Alice Fabus

ooc- really, you wonder why we don't appoint more women, you'd be riding the "Equality" train all week long, and it'd get really annoying.
