SAINT-PIERRE, ST. PIERRE AND MIQUELON
6:00 AM
It was a quiet, cold morning on the island, like any other. People were going about their business, just trying to live their lives. The collapse of the French government had made it hard for the island to survive, but the islanders tried.

"Let's go," called Colonel Burton, commander of Echo Company of the 1st Canadian Marine Brigade then moved ashore, keeping a close watch for trouble. Nearby, the other five companies landed as well, moving into the town. They were the main force involved in Operation Felix, the annexation of St. Pierre and Miquelon.

General Lewis had just gotten to work when he was handed a message by an aide from Colonel Burton: "LANDING SUCCESSFUL- TOWN SECURE- WILL REPORT BACK AT 0700". He smiled, and said, "Graves' little idea worked."
SAINT-PIERRE
6:40 AM
Echo, Alpha, and Charlie companies stood at attention in the town square, as the East Canadian flag was raised on the town flagpole. The Colonel then was handed a microphone, and began addressing over local radio:
"Dear citizens of Saint Pierre and Miquelon- We come in peace. We are East Canadian soldiers, and we're here to help. Please do not resist, as it is futile and utterly pointless. We will soon organise free elections so that you may choose your future..."
After the Colonel had finished speaking, the companies moved out to patrol the streets, to keep order if needs be.
