does anyone actually take account of maintance and running cost of their military?

seem like people are buying weapons to the max of their military budget but have they consider that they will not have money left to train, feed and buy fuel for their army? :D :D

maybe when selling stuff, other than just providing a cost price,
a annual operation cost and a reserve operation cost could be displayed too?
as well as the required support facility to service them and the duration of servicing. :(

Personally, I do.

Some quite obviously do not, especially newer players. I try and take account of what a new weapons might do to my military costs, such as when I replaced my ageing infantry assault rifle with Doomingslands new one.

This changed a lot of things including the amount of Agent Injection, Explosive Tip and General Hollowpoint ammunition I needed to produce thus I modified my expenses accordingly taking some of out the R + D side of my budget.

Also bear in mind the scale of the budgets on NS, i've got a mil budget of something like 6-7 Trillion USD (worked out from Thirdgeek) and many large militant nations have defense budgets bordered 20-25 trillion.

Yes, it would be a good idea for storefronts to do a by year payment, since it would more feasible for younger nations.
