Ork 'Eavy Kroozer wreaks havoc on Skeelzanian convoys
Inverness, Skeelzanian Sternreich
Skeelzanian authorities here on Inverness have grown increasingly concerned over the last several months with the sudden rise in Orkish activity. Raids on border outposts are up 170%, and transport attacks 220%. Sightings of unknown classes of warship are also up dramatically. A spokesmen of the 3rd FS Legion, the “Xenofighters,” warns that this maybe the signs of a new Ork Waaaagh developing.
A particularly alarming point is the appearance of a new Ork warship, larger than anything ever recorded. Packing a heavier punch than two Ork kroozers put together, this behemoth has destroyed at least 12 transports in the last five months, as well as a Draco class frigate sent to investigate. The ship, dubbed “Raging Brute” according to naval intelligence, appears to be based on the salvaged hulk of a Skeelzanian Dracula class dreadnought. Authorities say no ship of that class has been lost, however.
“No doubt about it, this is one beast of a ship,” says Captain Tenneal of the Skeelzanian Navy. “Not only is its standard armament very heavy, it also has a slew of unorthodox and super-heavy weaponry; not the least of which are the two killing claws.” Bizarre as it sounds, the Brute’s builders actually attached two mechanical gripping claws on the front of the ship. Exact power is unknown, though evidence suggest it was these weapons that destroyed the frigate Lord Bolos. The Brute also packs a very large energy cannon of unknown type, possibly Ion according to experts.
With such a ship menacing Skeelzanian space-ways, military authorities have taken the unprecedented step of releasing classified information on the ship to better assist in defense and, hopefully, its destruction. Imperial authorities advise all merchant ships to show extreme caution, and to flee immediately if attacked and contact naval authorities. This is especially true of any vessel made in the Fedral Union, who’ve been shown to be completely incapable of fending off Orkish vessels.
