Ooc- Earth DA RPers only.

Mississippi had not been willing to take the risk that any foreign power might attempt an invasion of Mozambique, nothing would be allowed to be so close to Mississippian controlled South Africa. Thus, the Czar had signed authorization for nearly two-dozen divisions of the South African commonwealth army to launch a blitzkrieg style attack into Mozambique. The idea was to totally overwhelm the Mozambiquean armed forces before they knew what had hit them.
The Divisions taking part in the attack had been organized as follows.
1st South African Tank Corps (2nd South African Armored Division, 1st South African Armored Division, 3rd South African Mechanized Division) to advance through Swaziland, detaching 1 mechanized infantry brigade and 2 armored regiments to form a garrison which will then be reinforced by 3 SA Reserve Infantry divisions.
2nd South African Shock Corps (1st South African Mechanized Division, 2nd South African Mechanized Division, 11th South African Infantry Division) to advance directly along the coastal areas of Mozambique, and rapidly advance to the northern border with Tanzania, cutting off Mozambique from Tanzania.
1st Boer Corps (12th Boer Infantry Division, 2nd Boer Infantry Division, 4th Boer Infantry Division) to hold the front between Swaziland and the eastern coast of South Africa, and then steadily advance north as the main armored attacks advance.
3rd South African Tank Corps (4th South African Armored Division, 3rd South African Armored Division, 9th South African Mechanized Infantry Division) to advance directly west of Swaziland and sweep into the interior of Mozambique, sealing shut the border areas with Rhodesia, and defending against any possibility of attack by outside forces, into Mozambique.
1st South African Parachute Division- to launch an aerial assault against the capital.
2nd South African Parachute Division- to operate in 18 regiments, launching aerial assaults against major border fortifications.
3rd South African Parachute Division- to launch an aerial assault against the northern and western border regions and establish new fortifications and defenses.
General Reserve- 1 Armored Division, 2 Mechanized Infantry Divisions, 3 Infantry Divisions, 12 Reserve Infantry Divisions, 2 Cavalry Brigades.
Along the border with Mozambique, things had developed rapidly, the dusts of South Africa had kicked up by a windstorm, and the attack had been delayed by twenty minutes as a result, but it was just twenty minutes. The Field Marshal tasked with leading the 3rd South African Tank Corps was sitting in his staff car on a raised hill that overlooked the wide area below where the main division of the Corps was assembled. He turned his head out the window and spat, the bitter taste of dust was still strong in his mouth.
He then turned and slowly said to the radio operator nearby, "Give the signal, and begin the attack..."
As soon as the word reached the advanced guard, a thunderous barrage of artillery erupted from the main forces along the border, mortars and howitzers alike, raining down death on the border garrisons just inside Mozambique. Already, advanced strike teams of SASAAS commandos and other special forces would have taken many of the forts. But they'd still have many forts to neutralize before the secondary infantry attacks began.
Already though, the T-98s were rumbling forward, being quickly outpaced by the BMP-3s and the T-99s, which were well on their way to their appointed objectives.
Ooc- Sorry Earth DA folks if that was a bit lame. I have to go get dinner right now since I've not eaten. That was just setting the stage; the next post will be better. :) Thanks.
