The Republic

The new power in the universe, soon to be the most glorious and most powerful. All nations who wish to join are welcome into the republic but are asked to move to the region. (OOC: I will telegram you the password to the region if you want to join.) The republic will be a free and fair system where it's members vote for senators to deal with regional and international problems. The senate will consist of 10 senators and 1 Imperator to be the head of the senate and the region. Only citizens can be senators and only members who have been in the region for more than 5 days can be citizens. This will make it so only members who are truly loyal to the republic will be in power and the new members or invading nations cannot hurt the republic. Members will consist of both nations who join, and nations that the republic conquer. Of course, after the 5 day waiting period, all nations will be granted full citizenship and priviledges.

What are there all of a sudden no future tech nations on NationStates anymore? Come on, BUMP.

The Captain stood up for some reason he always did so when he made a message.

" We got your message, and under orders of Starfleet, we KGB Demerits have arrived. Starfleet is busy at the moment. We wish to attend the talks as well. A Starfleet repsentative will be sent down, if you should allow us to reach orbit. KGB Out. "

The soverign nation of No Endorse would be more than happy to attend and open up diplomatic relations with Taledonia. We will send one MC40a light escourt cruiser and one Strike Cruiser to those coordinates.

The MC40 will only have two squadrons of E-wings and two standard Lambda class T4-a Shuttles onboard, as merely a precaution in case we run into an Interdictor class cruiser (AKA Sienar Fleet Systems Immobilizer 418) or other similarly annoying ship on the way. The Strike Cruiser holds 4 each of: A-wings, X-wings, Y-wings. These ships are merely for defensive purposes only.

The MC40 will be the ship that actually enters your planets orbit, with a Lambda shuttle and two E-wings being the only craft to enter your planet's atmosphere. The E-wings will break off as soon as the Shuttle begins to land, and will return to the MC40. At no time will weapons be charged. The Strike will hold station on the very outermost edge of your system, and then escourt the MC40 back home once negotiations are concluded. We are sorry for the need to use warships, but we do have enemies out there, and they don't like us making friends.

To all peaceful craft in and around Taledonia, our weapons are standing down and you are all clear to land at our space dock which is currently orbiting the planet. Once there you will be taken to the capitol on the planet. Welcome, the republic greets you all. All who wish to join are welcome with open arms, those who wish to just remain allies are welcome also.

Several TF-26's sped through space towards the foreign ships. A channel was opened between the fighters and the other ships, "Please follow us to the docking area."

The Diablo followed the TF-26's while the Cobra stayed where it was. "This is the Diablo we are landing" The Diablo lands where it was instructed to and awaits word from Taledonia on its next action.

" This is the KGB, Resenting Starfleet and the ECF, We will follow you to the docking bay, another ship from Starfleet will arrive in several days to counties negations. We will stay until then. "

The KGB ship begun to follow the alien vessels. Keeping away from the TFU vessel. " Heel "

The ships were brough to the space dock and given a station at which to dock at. When the airlocks were sealed, the doors to the ships opened. At each station, 2 officers and 15 guards awaited their guests to exit their craft. They then brought them to one of the hangers were large transports were waiting. The people boarded the ships and started heading down towards the planet, accompanied by 15 TF-26s.

Hell ya, Taledonian vessels are about 1200 meters long, and the space dock can hold 25 of them. And the hangers(there are 27 of them) can hold up to 50 fighters or small craft each.

OOC: It can go to the battlecruiser port if it wants. Our battlecruisers are about that size, 27km long.

The transport and it's escorts landed in the capitol of Taledon. Outside on the landing pad, the entire garrison of the city was standing in attention in ranks, with the senate and Imperator Augustus waiting in the in front of them to greet their guests. The doors to the transport opened and the men left the craft. After brief greetings the senate, Imperator and foriegn personel started walking down the wast rows of troops. There must have been 5 000 troops at least. They got into a hovercraft at the end of the landing compound and headed towards the Imperial Palace to begin negoatiations.

I have msn but my internet is being all screwed up so I won't be able to use it for a couple of months while we fix it so I have to use my moms computer at work to even go on here.

In the diplomatic room, they all sat down around a large table. The Imperator looked around at everybody and said, "So, do you wish to join the Republic and help bring law and order to the galaxy and perhaps, even rule the galaxy some day?"

However we would like to open trade with you and form a alliance with you and the republic."

An StarFleet agent walked out the ship and waited to be escorted. Several KGB Agents fanned out around him. " Take me to your leader, heh I always wanted to say that! "

We could make trade agreements and mutual protection pacts with the Galactic Empire?" He pushed the PDA back to the fleet commander.

An MC40A light cruiser, the Enveloper, and it's Strike cruiser escourt, the Quantum Storm, exited hyperspace at the very edge of the Taledonia system.

This No Endorse ship Enveloper requesting clearence to deliver a diplomatic detatchment. Also requesting clearence for her escourt to hold station at the edge of the system and for clearence for a high geolocked orbit above Taledonia. Requesting clearence for two E-wing class starfighters to accompany the delivery shuttle, which will be a Lambda class T-4a shuttle, unarmed model. Please respond via like channels. Repeat, this is No Endorse ship Enveloper....

The ships held station at the edge of Taledonian space, waiting for an answer to their hailings. Sensors from both ships scanned the surrounding area, taking in everything and computing multiple hyperspace escape routes should things go awry.

~In the negotiation room, listening to the others purpose to each other, sat a short man, cloaked in a brown robe, with a thin white beard. His hood covered his face, but every now and then he looked up, one could clearly see the black silk blindfold tied over his eyes. He listened intently, flanked by his two younger accomplices, their eyes shimmering with wonderment.
After the delegates were done speaking, the old man, representing the small planet-nation of the Draconic Order, spoke. His voice rumbling like that of an earthquake.~

"We the delegation of the Draconic Order, see that mutual cooperation benefits all. Wars do not promote peace, nor does trying to be the dominant power in the region. We wish to sign your treaty and join in the Republic... Even though we previously joined the Galactic Empire."

The captain of the Taledonian ship was sipping his morning tea when the air began to shimmer over the table where he was seated. He squinted, partly in annoyance, partly because he didn't have his good eyes in. " What the hell, another intrusion from these well-wishing aliens?"

The shimmer slowly solidified, after a fashion, into a 16 inch tall, semi-translucent image of a being attired in a robe of black cloth-of-gold, a black silk cord around it's waist, eyes red as fire, and......fangs. This was the hologram of Prince Vlad, Prince of the Empire of Xeraph. The captain sat up a bit straighter when he saw who it was.

" Greetings in the Name of the Emperor, Alaric Tan'it, " said the image. " The Emperor wishes to welcome you and offer his hand in friendship. Xeraph has an extensive presence in the Andromeda Galaxy, specifically the Typhon Expanse. We have settled and developed six planets thus far, and have just about completed our building of what is to be our governmental center, the Planet Tanith. You are hereby officially offered an embassy on this planet, and would do us a double honor of accepting as the first nation to have an embassy on Tanith."

The captain was a bit shaken, but managed to croak, " Yessir, er your Grace, er, your eminence........I will relay your message to our government, and I'm sure they would be honored to accept your offer."

" Very well, captain. I thank you."

The captain jumped up and ran to the CommCenter, yelling as he went. " Get a message to the homeworld......."

Woah now. We don't want to start a flame war in an RP that could shape up quite nicely and is a good entry for a young nation. Kyanges was confused, but so was I for a bit.

IC: Enveloper to Quantum Storm, we are having difficulty phasing our communications array to their frequencies. Apparently East Coast Federation and his friends in the Galactic Empire are going to invade Taledonia. Once the threat from the fledging Galactic Empire (No offence to you Draconic Order, your peaceful with me right now) then the negoatiations will continue. Your ships and diplomats may stay in the system however.

"We're still having trouble phasing correctly, but we can decipher a lot about their tech level from their transmissions. They're quite advanced. The message was a welcome to enter high planetary orbit. Unfortionatly, they will be postponing negotiations pending resolution of a conflict between them and the GE."

"Hmm... get me a comm to base."

The communications droid opened up a secure hololink to the No Endorse flagship. Once established, the droid navigated through the multitude of push-button menus until he reached the top commanders, and arranged for a council.

"This is Captain Perez of the Enveloper, hailing the NES Midnight. We are at the system of Taledonia, and have been informed through them of an altercation between them and the GE. I believe that a good choice of action would be to provide a moderator to negotiations, and to protect Taledonia from attack until the GE officially declares war."

The commanders seemed quite divided over this issue, and it took some time for a general consensus to be met. A representative of the council finally relayed the verdict, after over an hour of debate.

"Your orders are to attempt to prevent any and all military action on either side. Help protect any and all unarmed installations and diplomatic vessels that may come under fire, and attempt to keep casualties down. Most importantly, try to stay neutral. We are awaiting a concensus from the GE. If it gets too hot, hyper out. We'd like to open diplomatic relations here, but not at the expense of having the GE crush us."

Taledonians like to gloat so when we get a new toy, we say everyone has it. The space port is constructed to hold ships that big however, that's were the thing is being constructed. Our ships that are in active duty are actually 8km.

What's so wrong with it? And are you talking about the really huge prototype or our normal ships that are 8km? The prototype isn't conpleted yet and is only 20% complete and would take a very long time to finish and the other ones aren't that big so...

No Endorse Ship Enveloper hailing Taledonia, do you read? We are proceeding to your orbital docking platform.

Unfortionatly we have had some difficulty phasing our communications to your arrays. Please transmit optimal communications frequency or frequencies with reply.

We have shut down all offensive weaponry, and are preparing to enter your orbit.

We also request clearence for our escourt to orbit as well. We regret to say that our escourt does not have the endurance that we do, and will need refueling and resupplying at least once during the talks. We would be more than happy to pay for such an operation here, if it is convienient. In not, we request permission to rotate escourts. They will all be of the same model and carry the same fighter load.

There were very few that were over 1 km, and there wereonly two Eclipse class (17 km) and only four Soverign (15 km). The Empire encompassed an entire Galaxy, and it's 1km ships were feared. Two could be dispatched to a rebelling planet with a good chance of subduing it. Much bigger than 2 or 3, and you go from "Suficient to meet objectives while practicle" to "Above and beyond what's necessary, built for the fear aspect" IMO. I would prefer it if NS kept ship size down a little, as a super-huge spaceship turns slow, accelerates slow, and is unwieldy in combat.

Much bigger than 2 or 3, and you go from "Suficient to meet objectives while practicle" to "Above and beyond what's necessary, built for the fear aspect" IMO. I would prefer it if NS kept ship size down a little, as a super-huge spaceship turns slow, accelerates slow, and is unwieldy in combat.

No Endorse Ship Enveloper hailing Taledonia, do you read? We are proceeding to your orbital docking platform.

Unfortionatly we have had some difficulty phasing our communications to your arrays. Please transmit optimal communications frequency or frequencies with reply.

We have shut down all offensive weaponry, and are preparing to enter your orbit.

We also request clearence for our escourt to orbit as well. We regret to say that our escourt does not have the endurance that we do, and will need refueling and resupplying at least once during the talks. We would be more than happy to pay for such an operation here, if it is convienient. In not, we request permission to rotate escourts. They will all be of the same model and carry the same fighter load.

according to http://insd.swcombine.com/insd.htm , all Star Destroyers are 1.6 kilometers long. SSDs are longer (2.5-17.6 kilometers long)

The Executors are 17.6 km long (the Essential Guides are full of crap, they even get the number of engines wrong), and the regular ISDs are 1.6 km.

Miles please, hey since miles are longer than kms, i guys my Decimator is massive. so 17.6 is about 11 miles, a about 37km is about the size of my 23 mile ship. Anyway... metric sucks.

You are all clear to enter orbit. However, it is with great grief that we say the negoatiations will be posponed for now as the senate and Imperator are needed elsewhere. Apparently East Coast Federation and his friends in the Galactic Empire are going to invade Taledonia. Once the threat from the fledging Galactic Empire (No offence to you Draconic Order, your peaceful with me right now) then the negoatiations will continue. Your ships and diplomats may stay in the system however.

The Enveloper slid noislessly into the Taledonian docking slip. The captain was interested in seeing how the Taledonians dealt with medium ships. As he elevatored down to the hatch level, no less than three Terra and Droids tried to show him information about numerous systems at the same time. Finally clearing the throng of Terra and metal, he got to the docking port and sae=w how the Taledonians greeted visitors.

OOC: how do your slips work? Do you send out docking tubes into the vacuum, or pressurize the slip with a breathable atmosphere and send out catwalks?

The last locking bolt on the docking hatch slid open, and Captain Perez finally met face to face with the Taledonian guard. To his left, the diplomatic detatchment approached.

"Nice to see they all dolled up in their beurocratic pomp" thought the Captain, wearing only a generic belted Khaki jumpsuit, his ancient service hat, and some semi-dress shoes reserved for occasions like this. After saluting the commander in the time-honored fasion, he cut to the introductions.

"Hello, I am Captain Nikola Perez, and this is Daniel Archer, our Cheif Diplomat. To my right is Sandy Farseer. She is the captain of the Quantum Storm, our escourt. We are sorry for the tough time we had processing your messages, our government has installed a whole new comm array last cycle, and we're still doing tune-ups and shakedowns."

Captain Perez could feel the sweat in his hair and on the brim of his cap as he said every word. He wasn't used to talking to foreigners, and had no idea what to do. "Come on Archer," he thought through gritted teeth, "You're the expert, give me a hand here..."
