1. All RP etiquette for NS (No godmoding, etc.)
2. Any non-Zerg (race) faction can change loyalties at any time, even to the Zerg (political), such as in The Shifters.(If RPed well)

Overmind please. However, if you could create a Kerrigan spot, I would be much obliged.

Confirmed. Unfortunately, Kerrigan goes with the Sons of Korhal in this RP. Maybe at some future date we can have an RP starting with Kerrigan as Zerg, but you may be able to negotiate OOCly with whoever ends up playing Korhal to gain Kerrigan in this RP, and then RP the death of the Overmind, making your faction into Kerrigan.

lol. Confirmed, Shopkeepers, and the RP starts with Chau Sara being destroyed by the Fleet of the Executor, which leads to the attack on Aiur.

Sure, I'll sign up and give this a try. Either the Kel-Morian Combine or Antiga-Prime, which ever you feel is more needed (One of my puppets goes by: Antiga Mara).

Just one comment about the list of factions.. Wouldn't the Kel-Morian Combine, though having active trade relations with the Confederacy, have initial loyalty to themselves?

No because they were brought under control after the civil war which placed power in the hands of the confederacy in the first place.

And, no, they are forcibly inducted into the Confederacy during the Guild Wars, several years before the game starts. But, you can secede if you wish.

I believe so. Thus the name "Kel-Morian".
What I do know for sure is that the name "Moria" is a rip from Tolkien.
I know that StarCraft Legacy (sclegacy.com) has information about the history of each race.

Just remember, Nova is an intelligence squadron, not a battle squadron, so you will be at a disadvantage in battle, but you can be Confederate Intelligence.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure they've got a fair amount of Ghosts, as they are designated BlackOps/Espionage. I've got the Terran Confederacy to do the big battle fighting, anyway :P

True. Remember, different squadrons CAN change loyalty, if RPed well. Only Zerg cannot do this (I am considering an exception for the Zerg if the Overmind dies).

Kerrigan isn't Infested yet! You can RP a Zerg brood, and work with whoever is Sons of Korhal to transfer Kerrigan to you and you can be Kerrigan and her forces, though.

What I was saying is this - can I come in once she's infected and control her and the zerg under her control?

Well, not neccesarily Kerrigan, we could set it up so another of the Human heroes, or even one of the Prophet heroes is infected. In any event, once a champion and chosen and created, may I control it and its forces?

I can provide some temporary forums so we can post multiple threads without being mired in everyone else's stuff.

I'm pretty sure many of us have good knowledge as to the history & setting that is behind Starcraft but perhaps the first post should still be an introduction as to the history and some of the major players (sides), maybe start at the rise of the Confederacy for an explanation? If so, I found a website that can provide a quick, clean, overall summary of all the factions.

One question. How will this be RPed out? Will it be a Character RP, or one of those OmniPotent player controlling a mass of faceless, nameless statistics? Cause I really, really suck at those. >_> Character RPs are my deal...

I was thinking it would be a sorta mix of both those rping styles. Cuz I have control of a fleet and a good set of ground troops, being Alpha Squadron and all, so dont expect me to see your character servive a good volley of gause-rifle fire and flamers...cuz it aint gonna happen. So I think it will depend upon History lovers.

Jangle: Sure. It depends on how the RP goes. We may end up never having a Kerrigan. Keep an eye on us. I will reserve the Kerrigan faction for you for if we get to that.
Ghaezitopia: If this gets much bigger, those other forums will be quite helpful. It depends on the amount of OOC discussion, etc.
Wessex: I agree. The first post should be a quote, possibly from the SC manual, to explain everything up to the destruction of Mar Sara for each faction.
Hawaiian: Confirmed for Sons of Korhal.
Camels: Sorry, first come first serve. You can pick another faction, though.
Krowemoh: It will be a mix of both. We will have characters and will RP for them, like Gen. Duke, Arcturus Mengsk, Kerrigan, Raynor, and others, but they may or may not be in combat at any time. Some part will be RPing battles between faceless marines, zerglings, and zealots. You are confirmed for Delta Squadron.

Well, like I said, it doesn't have to be Kerrigan. Just... the Zerg Champion that is chosen. It could be Kerrigan, it could be another human hero, some new Zerg mutation, even an infested Protoss hero! Come on, Fenix was asking for it!

Hi, sorry was having some major log-on issues with NS, but I'm finally here, and sorely sorely sorely disappointed to see that the Fleet of the Executor was taken so early down the line...

I've got a thing for the Executor, been RPing with him for ages...

Anyhoo, I'll be taking stewardship of the Umojans. I like that we are going mix up the RP with individual and broader scale scenarios.

I would like to strongly suggest that we use offsite forums for this instead of NS, gives us a lot more leeway, room to create different threads, forums etc as we need, pics, stats etc, and also we don't have to dig around the NS forums all the time to find this RP...

I think it would be best if everyone registered with their NS name then just put who they represent in the signature space.

I agree with Kel. Register with your NS name and signature is your RP name (in case we may decide to do a later thing. DO NOT DO IT YET).

I was looking back over the game manuals, is it just me, or is Artanis a dark templar? I know he won't show up for a while yet, but if you read the backstory, you should see what I mean.

No, Artanis is a templar. He is of a new 'breed' of warriors that embrace instead of shun the Dark Templar.

Er? The Overmind controls all the Cerebrates, So of course he has his own elite troops, but would find protection in a larger brood, thus Tiamat, Daggoth rules.

He is housed by Tiamat, but he does have a small brood under his direct control. It is just always surrounded by Daggoth's Zerg.
