How important do you consider Pacitalia to the international scene?

I was thinking of doing an RP where Pacitalia's political scene is violently shaken and the threat of becoming isolationist becomes genuine, but I want to know if there are any objections to me becoming so and enacting such policies.

The Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Canada views Pacitalia as a great nation to be on the international front.

Hamptonshire has invested quite a bit of money in Pacitalia, so there would be a keen interest in a possible inward turn of the Pacitalia Government/Populace.
