Independence:
The Russian colonies became independent in 1905 following the Russian loss to Japan during the Russo-Japanese war’ the British colonies became independent in 1912; the Azazian city-states have been independent since their inception centuries ago, but unified into the states of Azazia and Arista in 1915. In 1917, at the eve of World War I the three parties agreed to form the Commonwealth of Azazian Republics, named after the Sea of Azazia where all the states were found. Each state thus became a Commonwealth Republic.
