UNITY CLASS SUPERDREADNAUGHT (http://s9.invisionfree.com/SME/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=130256)

Armour
The Vilitov Pattern (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v685/SME/Naval/UNITYARMOUR.jpg) Armour System is the primary armour used for the superstructure and the hull of the Unity Class Superdreadnaught. The red on the above linked, side-view, picture denotes an inch of steel, then an inch of titanium alloy, then a further inche of aluminum composite. Finally another inch of steel finishes the primary armour pattern. One "spread", as denoted in the picture, then equates to four inches.
Vilitov Use
20", or five spreads, on the Hull
16", or four spreads, on the main Superstructure
8", or two spreads, on the Guns
8" or two spreads, on the Engines

The Second Armour Pattern is a blend of Aluminum Alloy and Steel. This is used on anywhere not covered by the Vilitov pattern.

Armament
The Unity is equipped with six turrets, each with the 24" Walkerov class cannon, in double formation. Therefore in total, 12 24" cannons.

On the Fore and the Aft there are two VLS mounts, each containing 112 of the Aster15 or Aster30 class. The PAAMS guidance system is located on the superstructure, more towards the fore.

In total, Phalanx CIWS comes to 28 guns.

Slightly above the Draft, are the Seven ASSDI [Anti Sea Skimming Defense Initiative] stations, on both Starboard and Port. Each ASSDI station consists of a 20mm CIWS weapon, and two tubes for Aster30 or Aster 15 missiles, outlooking directly to the sea for defense against Sea Skimming Missiles.

Complement
2750 Enlisted Sailors;
30 Naval Engineer Lieutenants
15 Ships Officers
1 Commodore/Admiral

Basically, I just wanted something big with guns. At any rate, SD's aren't my best point so just reel in the criticism. I'd like it if you included something nice though.

OOC: Needs bilges to defend against torpedo attacks.

OOC: Needs bilges to defend against torpedo attacks.
OOC: Or lots of escorts. Not much will get close enough to a well used SD to use torpedos.

OOC: Hey, you want a ship with no bilges, good. One good mine or torpedo attack, and you have a hole in your ship.

OOC: And how will this get hit by a mine or torpedo when it's surrounded by hundreds of ships? It's good to have them, it's just not a major thing...

OoC: Try adding a few more officers, ECM, towed torpedo decoys, Balista VLS cells(Praetonian made ofcourse) alongside Halbard and Lance missiles.

Oh and a draught(depth) would be nice alongside the system you use for targetting, etc.

OOC: He is... Last I checked, at least. I believe Willink was displaying an emotion known as "sarcasm."

Now we should probably let this thread get buried again...
