HIS MOST ROYAL AND HOLY MAJESTY WEDS!
Antira, Tisopea- Yesterday, in the small hours, 100 cannon shots were fired as King Karl II of Tisopea had his mistress crowned Queen Consort in a splendid ceremony at Antira City Cathedral. The Archbishop of Leige preformed the ceremony, amongst the presence of the King and the entire House of Peers and Privy Council.
Less than an hour after she'd been anointed, the two were wed in a short ceremony at the Chapel Royal.
This has come as a shock to many, as it was not expected that HM King Karl II would marry so soon after the death of his wife (which was nine months ago). The deceased queen perished giving birth to the heir apparent HRH The Prince Royal.
HM The King is only twenty-six, and his new bride is a year his senior. The new queen-formally Lady Caroline Thyron-is the daughter of the esteemed Duke of Thyron and is a noble of some regard. And, as she complies with the requirments for a legal and non-morganic marriage under the Act of Succession, she is the new legal Queen Consort.
A great feast was held to celebrate the event, followed by further celebrations that led late into the night-though many still considered it odd that the King would have her crowned before the wedding took place-the Lord Grand Chamberlain said specifically that His Majesty would never wed an unanointed lady, no matter how high her birth.
It is already rumored that the twenty-seven year old Queen is pregnant.
