OOC: Hello, and welcome to my latest thread, entitled “Royal Decrees.” I shall post laws and military changes made in my nation in this thread whenever possible to be organized.

His Majesty King Christian Woodburne I wishes it to be known that the following decree has been presented to the Parliament and has been approved.

It has recently come to the attention of His Majesty’s Government that the Royal Army is larger than is good for it in terms of active personnel with a total manpower of 3,800,000, keeping the Royal Army from training the troopers to the desired level of battle expertise. Because of this situation, the following changes are to be enacted as soon as it is possible.

#1: From this date until this order is countermanded, the Royal Army shall not keep more than one million personnel in active service. Two million shall be maintained as reserves.

#2: Eight hundred-thousand personnel of the Royal Army shall be transferred to the Navy in order to form a new piece of the Royal Armed Forces. This new branch shall be named the Royal Navy Infantry Corps. It shall also include some personnel from the Royal Navy to help expedite the necessary changes.

#3: The Royal Army and Royal Navy are instructed to establish Officer Training Schools at the cities of Namorcene and Laurunais respectively.

[OOC: Very realistic. For a nation your size it's much better to keep a standing army of one million, although I would suggest to decrease it to no more than 300,000 at times of peace and just keep anybody else on a reserve basis - calling them up twice a month or so and training them, refreshing them on military values - and then just arm them in times of extreme emergency.]

OOC: Thanks for the idea. I'll look into it.

OOC: Hello, everybody; some new Royal Decrees have just been passed here in the Kingdom of Romandeos.

#1: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, the Romandeosian Royal Army is to maintain a combatant force no greater than three million in time of peace. Of that number, three hundred-thousand shall be Regulars who serve actively, and all those remaining shall be Reservists who are called up and armed as the nation has the need to summon them.

#2: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, the Romandeosian Royal Navy Infantry Corps is to be considered a separate Branch of the Armed Forces, with all the rights and privileges that such status entails.

#3: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, the rank of Royal Marshal shall be de-established. Saundra Renniger, currently serving in the post, is now reduced in rank to General, the next step down from the now defunct Royal Marshall post. In the place of the one person serving as Royal Marshall and commanding each of the Armed Forces Branches, there shall now be a military council of three officers instead, each of whom shall be in overall command of one Branch. This council is to answer directly to the Prime Minister and the Monarch.

#4: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, General Selena Carlock is to be the First Surface Marshall, in overall command of the Royal Army. Her Deputy is to be Lieutenant General Samuel Lucas, Deputy Surface Marshall.

#5: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, Admiral Jamie Linda is to be the First Sea Lord, in overall command of the Royal Navy. His Deputy is to be Vice-Admiral Phillip Millsaps, Second Sea Lord.

#6: From this Date until this Order is countermanded, Admiral Kurt Russom is to be the Commandant of the Royal Navy Infantry Corps, in overall command of the Naval Infantry Corps. His Deputy shall be Vice-Admiral Arnold Hershberger, Deputy Commandant.
