Tryrrhenian Sea, off the coast of Italy
A small fleet sailed across the sea, the waves brushing across their hulls. Admiral Drake Manverio stood in the bridge of the Titan Carrier, Silent Striker. Six Omega battleships sailed by it's side. There destination was obvious to anyone observing, Vatican City owned by the nation of Ankhmet.
"Admiral we are now 1 hour away from our destination" an officer announced.

"Excellent order battle stations incase we are to meet any resistance on the way there, order the subs below us to move ahead in search formation" the Admiral said with a soothing voice, as if to calm the crew of up and coming invasion.

"Yes, sir" The nuclear subs below them moved ahead in a wide wedge formation preparing to strike when needed.

Latina
A small force of only 20,000 men and tanks,and artillery moved quickly and efficiently. They made no move to hide their actions, only to move quick enough to hit Vatican City and make it their own. The commander, General Archine watched with an appreciative eye. Soon Vatican City would be under there command and they could nothing about it.
"Order the airstrike" He whispered.

Dracun Italian Airbase
Dozens of EuroTyphoon fighters took off towards Vatican City to bombard in preparation of the invasion.
"Form up" Air Commander Antilles ordered, with that 6 squads formed up behind his own elite squad.
"Approaching Vatican Air Space now"

Within fifteen minutes of the Dracun forces making offensive manouvres, preparations began. All available buildings were requisitioned for use as resistance outposts. Plans for a resistance movement for any eventuality not favouring the Ankhmeti Soviet Union were put into action. Landmarks were wired with explosives, and all roads blocked.Small border areas were cleared and mined, and machinegun positions set up. 100 Chaparral mobile SAM sites were moved around the Vatican and ordered to fire at will upon the Eurofighter aircraft. The 1,000 Spetznaz commandos and 90,000 regular and conscript troops were placed in positions around the city and prepared for combat. 100 F-22 'Raptor' aircraft were put into position patrolling the city, and Patriot missile systems around the Holy See were prepared. If Dracun wanted the Holy See, they would pay dearly, and lose it quickly.
Already Moscow was informed, and troops dispatched. Hercules Transports filled with troops were sent to carrier fleets given orders to hit the Eastern Coast of Italy. Finally, nuclear submarines on operations in the Mediterranean Sea were moved to a position where Rome could be turned to irradeated rubble should the Holy See be attacked.
One diplomatic attempt was made. A message to the Dracun Imperium.

"I am Alexi Yeltsin, Premier of the Ankhmeti Soviet Union. If you, the Dracun Imperium, make an attempt to hit the Holy See, you will plunge the world into nuclear war. Already our missile sites are on their highest alert, and troops are being moved. Any assault will be met immediately with a nuclear attack on all Dracun territories within range. This will be followed by conventional war. Stop now or be crippled. Surely you see both of us will be destroyed by this? If you will not answer to reason, we will offer you $11,000,000,000,000 to halt the assault now.Consider it, or you will kill both of us.."

This message was transmitted to all the sovereign nation of the world, to show them the barbarism of the Dracun Imperium.

ooc: Tsk Tsk, first piece of advice Nukes kill rps just role-plays the war out use strategy but DONT use nukes, plus I have enough nukes to destroy you, and your territories 5 times over. Also all your transports would have to pass through MY territory, from Russia to Italy. So therefore most of your transports would fall to the ground.

Off the Coast of Vatican City

The carrier's deck rumbled as another 100 EuroTyphoon Fighters flew into the air, with 32 Apaches following suit. They arrived on scene at Vatican City and 10 went down due to enemy anti-air fire. They however continued launching missiles after missiles into the once holy city. Meanwhile the Nuclear Subs surfaced and unloaded Cruise Missiles 27 flew towards the city, even as the first air assault commenced. Then the Fighters from Latina arrived. The air became a frightening sight, cruise missiles, and enemy fighters.

The fighters from Latina, went and engaged the F-22 'Raptor. While the other's hit SAMs, and enemy troop installations. Many went down but all for the glory of the Imperium.

Meanwhile the troops moved quickly now mere hours from Vatican City, marching steadily with the tanks (Challenger IIs) moving ahead they were prepared to take on overwhelming forces. Yet it wouldn't matter it was street fighting, and overwhelming numbers meant nothing. Plus these were Dracun Infiltration Commandos (DICs) specialized in urban and guerilla warfare

Also, Vatican is landlocked.Sorry, but I'm going to have to ignore this for a short time. In a week or two, perhaps.I just don't have the time right now.I'm sure you'll understand. ooc: Puncuation and spelling? Before I posted your's was horrible worse then mine, and may I remind you I have no word what so ever, so therefore I can't do a grammer check. Yes I know vatican is landlocked, so therefore you have to past through Italy, which is MY territory. Yet as you wish we can hold it off for as long as you like.

I pointed out that the Vatican is landlocked because you mentioned something about troops landing 'off the Vatican coast'. My spelling and punctuation in my post were flawless bar an instance where 'to the' turned into 'tot he' because I was typing quickly.And it isn't 'your's', it's 'yours'.
