Basically, I put trade embargoes on a couple of nations in my region, with their "spokesnation" being Varyl. They have declared war on me and I'm attempting to annex them and build an empire. That's it in a nutshell.

Novacom and Faradoon, do you know if anybody else is interested? If you do, please telegram me.

I am willing to conscript half my nation as a mercenary army, prices start at 80million Salted Peanuts. Think, which side(once you've worked them out) wants the security only 125 million well armed, elite and fanatical penguins has to offer?

Ok, wait....your building a empire by annexing other Nationstates, they will still be leading there little nation somewhat, but as little representitives, correct? This seems liken a interesting idea, but what is the benefits? Is this just a RP that will die after a month or so, or like....a region type thing? Like your all one nation on NS...?

The actual war is going to be in another thread. I wanted to keep the signup separate from the RP.

I'll give the rest of you two days and then I'm going to assign you a side.

I'm with Jaghur I got a little mized up with as to who was who I'll edit that post for the thread where we start it in.

While my nation normally acts as mercenary force it has been decided that my penguins shall, on this occassion simply work for the spoils of war, hence i shall join the Imperial league with its ambitions of pure conquest. All we ask for is an equal share of the spoils.

Xeraph is an Empire, meaning that there are nations within the Empire that will be involved in this conflict.
The Dominion of the Grey Legions, the Republic of the Black Katanas, and the Kingdom of Auralinia have already responded to the Emperor's call to war. Each of these nations have their own "specialty" as regards war. There are several other nations within the Empire, however at this time we do not anticipate needing their help.
I will keep you posted as to the deployment of the forces of these nations, as well as the forces of Xeraph.

Okay, although it will be kind of uneven in the beginning. Then at the end, you'll join Varyl, right?

IC: (History) It started out with trade embargos being put on Varyl by us for certain reasons that do not need to be told due to their unimportance (OOC: can't think of any :D ). We were losing trade because Varyl is closer to economically speaking, average nations. The dictator of Varyl, Vacar Partikalas (OOC: i think i spelled that right :D ) did not oppose the embargoes, knowing our armed forces to be superior to theirs, and we set up a naval blockade. Life went on as it had until a radical group attempted to assassinate Vacar Partikalas by bomb. The attempt failed due to a technical error but killed many innocent civilians. Partikalas realized the danger of revolution if he let the blockade be, and so told submarine commanders to try to sink our ships. We were able to spot them coming on our radar and made short work of them. Only one of our ships was sunk. Varyl was outraged, and so Dictator Partikalas had a good reason to declare war on us. And he did.

OOC: modern to near future tech (if you want to make up some sort of vehicle or weapon, you can, i know i will, just no godmodding), no godmodding, no nuclear or chemical weapons, keep it fairly simple, i don't want complex plots. my nation is bordered on one side by ocean, one side by mountains, and the other side is other nations in my region who will not get involved. The only way to land troops in my nation is by sea or air. same for Varyl. it's going to be primarily naval or air battles.
