The Republic of Lordas declares independence

Lordas
25-02-2005, 18:13
Today, on 25th February, 2005, The State of Lordas declares its independence from the Republic of Lovana (6 months before, 92% of all people voted for it).
The ceremony was held on paved area, that is now called National square and in front of it will be the new Parliament building.
30,000 people listened to the new temporary president Paul Morely Heracles that concluded his speech with the fraze "Today, dreams are allowed. Tomorrow is a new day". Then, national guard raised the new flag and for the first time the whole nation and world heard the new anthem.

Temporary government of Lordas looks forward for recognition of other nations and hopes for their diplomatic help in this rough times when it is under a threat of military attack from Lovana. 10,000 troops were deployed along the new border and the new police closed all the roads that are leading in Lordas.

((yeah... my nation was deleted... :( ))

After few meetings of both governments, Lovana and Lardos signed an agreement, which should not be discussed in public and it is treatened as confidential. They released only one, but the most important thing - there will be no military conflicts between nations and the Republic of Lovana acknowledged the independence of Lardos. The both governments left the meeting rooms in friendly environment.

Few days later....

Today, temporary govenment made plans for Government and Parliament elections. They agreed, that all the political parties that were already in the state of Lardos, remain on the political field, as they cover all possible political options that a democratic country would need. They allow forming new parties.
"We believe that elections could be held in a period of four months," said Kate Hanson, government public relations.

"Yes? What news?"
"We got many recognitions of other nations and they believe that we must start diplomatic relations."
"As I thought, yes. We will address this issue tomorrow on the government meeting."
"As you wish," he answered and left the room.

Subject: Diplomatic relations

The Republic of Lordas as a new nation wants to form embassies in other nations. Those embassies would help Lordasian people in that country,
present Lordas to other people and taking care of Diplomatic and Economical relations with the country where it is.
We are looking for appropriate houes for buying or appropriate land for building an embassy (the last option is mostly for bigger countries that could be export and import partners).
Our representatives would do all their work according to your nation's law and allow nation's authorities to enter the embassy for inspection if needed (but just in a situatuon where your government declares in public that Lordas is a possible threat to national security (we believe that that will not happen)), however we are looking forward that our ambassador and his closest employees will get a diplomatic immunity as it is a common thing in Diplomatic policy.
Of course, we offer you the chance for establishing your embassy in the republic of Lordas. We would treat your presentatives as described above.

We hope for good relations in diplomacy, economy and other subjects.

Hope to hear from you soon.

temporary Minister of Foreign affairs

Subject: Embassy
----------
We are satisfied with your offer and your wish to establish embassy in Lardarya, capital city of The Republic of Lordas. However, we do not see any reason why would we want to send armed vehicles and army helicopters. So we allow you to send unlimited number of unarmed personell and unlimited personell equipped with hand weapons with a mission to guard your embassy. We allow up to 2 civilian vehicles with immunity and unlimited number of vehicles without immunity (vehicles with immunity cannot be inspected and are treated like the land around embassy). We allow up to two civilian helicopters, but no military helicopters. We hope that you understand that we cannot allow foreign military aircrafts flying in our airspace.

Best regards,
Theodore Ardley,
minister of Foreign affairs.

Of course. We under stand uour concern and the proper changes will be made to any Embassy to Lordas to account for your preferences. However, any embassy you send to us may be under a small amount of danger from a rebel faction currently causing trouble within our borders. The possible danger to you embassy is small as the rebel forces have not yet taken hostile action against our larger cities but we wish you to be fiully aware of the possible dangers before you establish a diplomatic presence in our nation.

Revised Lordas Embassy Staff proposal;
1 ambassador
124 ambassadorial staff
with 48 marine guards (MS-12 handgun)
2 unarmed APCs
2 unarmed VCH-43 helicopters (transport package)

We are pleased with your understanding of our standings. Your Staff proposal is authorised and you can send them as soon you establish proper conditions for your work. They will be invited to the Presidential Palace where our president will welcome them.
We discussed your concernes about possible danger, so we decided that we will send in Northern Nation States next personell and vehicles:
- 1 Ambassador
- 1 Trade Consul
- 94 Embassy staff
- 38 security officers
- 2 secured civilian vehicles with immunity
- few other civilian vehicles for transportation
- 1 BVP M80A (light armed vehicle) with 8 soldiers for the last line of defence
(in the case of usage, your government will be notified)
- 1 civilian helicopter BELL 430
- 1 unarmed military helicopter for transportation AS 532 AL COUGAR

Will your forces anyhow help to protect embassies in Samara if the rebel forces choose them as a target of their hostility?

The Republic of Skinny87 is always heartened to hear of a country gaining independence, and as such would like to offer economic support and the exchange of embassies with your country.

An Embassy for your country at Number 24 Dowland Square is available for your nation to set up an Embassy. Security arrangements in The Republic's Embassies are top-notch, and include 24 Hour protection by the specially-assigned 24th Guard Regiment for all embassies.
Each embassy is allowed a maximum of 50 Guards for their embassy compound and two armoured but unarmed vehicles and one Helicopter. Helipads are provided on each Embassies roof for easy access. No weapons larger than Assault Rifles (M-16's, AK-47's) are allowed on Embassy grounds.

Our Ambassador to your nation would be Gerard Douche, (43), an excellent Diplomat who has served his country well and is interested in The Republic of Lordas' history and culture.

We are very happy with your offer and already concidering which diplomat would we send to Skinny87 and at the same time making the preparations to receive your embassy staff at the Presidential palace. We offer you a place on Lordas avenue 58, just about 80 meters away from the construction place of the new Parliament and very close to other embassies. As this avenue is getting more and more occupied with very important institutions, we are discussing forming of special guard that would patrol the area and taking care of security (now police is doing that). We agree on your conditions and have very similiar ones, except that you can have 2 unarmed helicopters.
We are considering sending:
- Ambassador
- Trade Consul
- 70-90 Embassy staff
- 32 Security officers
- 2 security (armoured) vehicles
- other civilian vehicles
- 1 civlian helicopter BELL 430

Dear Mr. Ardley

All embassy exchanges with Macisikan are subject to your assent to the Diplomatic Agreement (http://www.freewebs.com/macisikan/diplomaticagreement.html).

Some sections of the Agreement may be up for negotiation, but you must remember that an embassy exchange, subject to the fundamental spirit of the Agreement, is a non-negotiable prerequisite to any further treaties, such as the Non-Aggression Pact (http://www.freewebs.com/macisikan/nap.html).

Also please note that our formal ratification of any such agreement must wait until after the conclusion of the current General Election (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=400997).

We are glad with your offer of establishing our embassy in your capitol city. Please explane us which conditions should we follow.
Our conditions and rules for foreign embassies mostly talk about staff and vehicles a nation can send:
- unlimited number of unarmed Embassy personell
- max. 50 security officers with hand guns
- 2 security (armoured) civlian vehicles with diplomatic immunity
- unlimited number of other civilian vehicles
- 2 unarmed civilian helicopters

Embassies are mostly located on Lordas avenue, which is for now protected with police patrols and soon with a special guard. For now, there weren't hostility actions and we pronounce this area as safe, so we do not see any reason of sending maximum number of troops - if we are not mistaken, maintaining troops in foreign states is quite expensive.
Please send us your response.
