Te council had been debating what to do. The three ZPM's in Atlantis had been recharged, with great difficulty, so the full capabilities of Atlantis were at their control. A huge transmitter was constructed, to contact any race within a huge area.
One of the councillors stood up.
"I have an idea. We can open up the gates of the entire Milky Way stargate network and send the signals through them. If we send messages this way, every 38 minutes we are bound to find the children of our race.Perhaps we can help them become worthy of Atlantean technology. Perhaps give them a puddlejumper modified so they don't need the gene to use it."
Another stood.
"I agree. We'll do it, I can see you all agree with me on this."

Within two hours gates across the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies fired up, creating thousands, if not millions of wormholes. And through these wormholes, a message was sent.

"We are the Atlanteans. We built the network of gates which we now use to send this message. We wish to talk to the peole of Earth, as soon as possible.In one hour we will establish a wormhole from your worlds to Atlantis. Anything you send through will arrive safe in Atlantis. We warn you not to send any military forces, or they will die. Or send a... 'Radio' signal.One hour."

On the many worlds of the Ascended Goa’uld System Lord Atum, long dormant stargates flared into life. The defences varied in their quality, but it was on Mnewer, the home world of Atum, that the defences were greatest. Force fields and guards surrounded the stargate, but most importantly, signal reception equipment. There was considerable disturbance in the control room as various jaffa technicians processed the telemetry.

It was passed slowly up the chain of command, and reached Overlord Thoth. At which point the entire hierarchy of Lord Atum’s empire went into shock…

a PRABOT walked up to the circle it had a stable event horizon within it, this was unusual and the crew of the Science vessel Krandek knew this, they recieved a Message, it told them that in one hour a wormhole would establish and that they would be able to send anything non-military through, and so a Diplomat was sent to the planet and there he waited for the wormhole to be established.

Hydran System, Chronosian territory

Deep beneath the earth of the Hydran forge worlds, there lie ancient and terrible secrets. Secrets that most often should never be unlocked. The Disciples of Chaos crave knowledge; as do the children of the Machine God; and so it is, that curiosity has driven them to mine this ruined world for its treasures...

"Energy fluctuations, massive energy fluctuations!" A Tech Priest hissed as the rock about them exploded outwards, something, almost like water came with it, as they tumbled backwards, rocked by the impact of whatever lay beyond...

Staring into the stygian darkness, they gasped; it was as though the sun shone off water, here in this dire place; here deep beneath the Earth, The ring held steady as this watery portal sat suspended in the centre.

It did not respond to the rites of deactivation; it did not heed the orders of the Machine God, nor the invocations of Sorcerors...Something new had been unlocked.

The Emperor was informed; a strange gate had been discovered, sending out signals, possibly some form of ancient transport network. He chuckled softly.

"Bring me to this...Gate; I shall see its power with my own eyes; I shall defy the fates, and step through it. I have survived the flames of the Warp; I shall not be thwarted by some, foolish technology"
