Just a show of hands, or tags will do, who here would be interested in doing an RP against an invading alien force? This would use RL countries and stats, basically it is set in the year 2009, Earth is of course still divided into hundreds of countries, we can work out the details later, but this much is certain, the humans will lose and nukes will not be allowed until it is decided that the war is lost and mankind choose to make the planet inhabitable, anybody interested in joining? Nations will be decided after we get people signed up.

Somehow, this idea makes me recall Larry Niven's novell "Footfall". Ever heard of it? :)

Other than that, my personal opinion is that the chance of an alien invasion any time soon is rather unlikely. Anybody who's out there will likely not have heard about our existence yet. (Hooray for Mr. Drake :D).

Maybe its not really an invasion ... maybe it's a mass delusion caused by a virulent bio-agent designed to render people susceptible to the suggestion that an invasion has occured, and that we've lost, so that we'll nuke the planet and then ... they can take over...

Glad to see you guys are interested. There will be several types of fighting, you are more than welcomed to choose to fight a guerilla war if you prefer. After we get about 15 people signed up we will start choosing countries or regions, should we decide to group some countries togother to form one region. (Like several african nations being one country. Oh, and we are not just gonna start by RPing that they have already invaded, we will of course have to RP the discovery of an invasion force, government meetings to discuss the appropriate course of actions, and the eventual informing of the public as to what is happening.

I'm interested, count me in for now. Just what type of technology can we use in the game ( for example, later in the game various Earth nations develop the mobile suit.) Also, could I possible stay my own nation? If not, thats ok. Sounds like this could be fun :D
