The seige towers see the approaching knights and attempt to fire at them hopefully disapating the attack. The commander hears the clamor and sends half of his hand cannon line to defend along with the footmen on the Yeomary line.

Having suffered some casulties the knights withdrew and returned to the main force. The commander took a fresh group of knights and sent them to circle them again and attack from the rear again.
lets just use this on and use other one for referance

The footmen try to light a seige tower, but are busy fighting off the knights. The commander brings his knights around and attempt to surround the group of knights.
Seeing the attemp to incircle them the Knights brake off and retreat to the main body, which has moved to within 2 miles of the opposing army.
Seeing that the Knights went in front of the commander's force, he moves more of his cannons back just in front of the Yeomary line. The commander's knights now move to the flanks to protect them and prevent encirclment. The footmen now move forward empty seige towers filled with any non-usable, flammable substance they could find.
As the enemy towers moved into range the cannons opened fire with the intent of smashing the towers to bits.
The footmen stop and hold their line. The commander then lays a suppresing fire on the enemy cannons with his. Seeing that there is a small hole in the footmen line, the commander moves his Yeomary up.
Seeing the enemy returning fire the cannons get recalled out of range while the rest of the army fortifies thier position.
The commander commands his troops to stay put. Cannons are moved to origional positions.
Seeing the enemy return to thier original position the commander moved a few of the seige towers forward,

I've been like that in every RTS game. I don't like to attack to often. Heck, I use my defense to attack in some games.
The commander pushes his troops back in order to keep Yeomary out of cannon range and able to attack almost immediatly. The footmen stay just in back of the Yeomary lines
Seeing his enemy adopt a defensive stance the commander moved forward 1/4 of the seige towers with cannons mounted at the top while 1/2 the remainig towers providing cover. Once in position the cannons began to rain fire upon thier foe.
The commander tries to move back before he could lose more troops, regroups, then attacks head on, cannons and handcannons providing cover. Some troops attempt to light a siege tower and shove it forward in the cover of the chaos.

As the enemy pressed forward in an attempt to shut down the seige tower cannons the Knights circled around the attackers to charge into the cannons/handcannons from the side. While the Knights attacked the Yeomen, handcannons and ground based cannons opened up on the attacking forces.
With the idle knights, the commander then counters the attack attempts to crush the footmen line of the opposing force. A cannon then shoots a burning seige tower so it would fall forward. The Yeomary then draw rapiers and attack the knights. Handcannons fall back with the Yeomary occupying the knights and commence firing. The remaining cannons move behind friendly knights and shoot the long range groups and the seige towers.
As the enemy withdrew the Men-at Arms, Yeomen and handcannoners raced forward to smash the enemy force in the side while the cannons continue blasting the emeny forces.
With the withdrawal of the Men-at-arms, the commander pulls back the knights and send them toward the handcannons. Yeomary and handcannons take care of the opposing Yeomary. Cannons continue to fire.
With the change of target of the enemy knights the Knights pressed thier attack against the ranged units. As the infantry saw the knight speeding toward them the Ranged units halted while the Men-at-Arms braced thier spears into a spear wall, while the Ranged fired into the charging knights.
