News from Mississippi, via the Five Points Radio Program.

"This is Jeremiah Cartwright, about to set off on a grand journey to Kahta to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, commonly called the Five Points of Calvinism. But before that, the Czar has a glorious announcement to make."

"This is Roger Fabus, Czar of the Mississippian Federation. I shall make this quick and to the point, we live in a world where the true followers of Christ, the Calvinists, are in constant danger and face grave peril. From this day hence, let it be known that Mississippi is the Defender of the Calvinist Faith and we do graciously accept this honor that God has predestinated unto us to claim at this time and in this place. Let it be known that we will not tolerate any attacks against the Calvinist Faith, from any nation or group of people. The Elect shall not suffer the tyranny of the Reprobate, not while we are around to stop it. That is all."

Well......we have no Calvinists in Virginia, Mr. Fabus, and the way you preach, I'm glad we have none. Any attempts to enforce this policy in Virginia or West Virginia will be met with unrelenting resistance from the Combine.

A question, Czar. How are you to know who are part of the Elect? Do you claim to know God's will?

You do that. Just don't bother Sevaris or her friends, and you'll be fine.

But if God predestines people to Heaven or Hell, how can they gain entrance into the Elect? If He let those destined for Hell enter Heaven instead, would that not make God fallible, and thus unwind all Creation?

OOC: Haha, its sorta ironic that Calvinism and the rest of the protestant movements originally wanted to rid the church of governmental politics and corruption, and now there is this. Heh heh, or maybe thats just me.

IC: While the Church of Nascent does not recognize papal authority, we do follow a state brand of catholicism, therefore we must say that we do not condone this type of militant action. It was those like you Czar Fabus, who created so much suffering and persecution for those Calvinists, Luterans, Anabaptists, and every other protestant religion before, during, and after the rennaisance.

May God have mercy on you and all those who share your radical beliefs.

Hmmmm.......a few points.

1..It would seem to me that your beligerant attitude is eventually going to start a " Holy War"......two words that should have nothing to do with each other.

2...It's "predestined", not predestinated.

3.. The theological point of predestination does not mean that God has decided beforehand that some are to be saved, and some damned. It means that God has predestined that ALL men have the choice to accept Him and be saved. This was done through the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross. " For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only Son, that NONE should perish."

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

"When did our great Federation ever trade with your piss poor wasteland?"

Czar Roger Fabus

Ooc- Seriously though, what is with every nation always talking about stopping trade with a nation they've just met and thus it can be inferred that they have no relations let alone trade relations? Surely you could ban the possibility of trade, but really, what could you have given us that we don't handle for ourselves? We're basically a self-sufficient country.

IC: No ecomonic sanctions will be imposed. However, The True Way of Alan asks that Czar Roger Fabus remember the rights of all.

Dimmimar is neither amazed nor indifferent to this announcement. Our policy of letting all religious people worship who they will works.

But one final question, if a person who worked well all their life and was a great, decent person died not converting to Calvinism, would they be damned to an eternity in hell?

"Conversion is not a matter of free will, for man has none. Works matter none in our salvation, for by grace alone are we justified. And grace is the gift God bestowes only upon his Elect. If you are Elect, before you die, at some point in your life, you will be irresistibly drawn to accept the Five Points."

Whatever happened to loving Jesus Christ? Now us humans must put rules and laws. But to be saved all you have to do is say that you accept Jesus into your life and believe in that. Obviously, these Calvinists are a perversion of Chrisitianity. Of course we're a private organization, the Catholic Church would condemn you too. But you'd probably say 'Popery is bad!' and it is. We're just getting the message out first. So let's say it again, Calvinism is bad because it complicates Jesus' special message. Accept him and you shall be saved, that's all!

Enclosed:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect

Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,
3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
