Announcer: At dawn today the citzens of Pheanix looked on in horror as the badly damaged invasion fleet returned hom without its troops, but an even greater horror was to be had when the fleet was only preceeding a battlefleet of Branadian ships. The fleet raipidly deployed its elements to patrol the local waters, a statement has been passed down from the Branadian foreign office.

Lord Solar: I was saddened today to here the reports that the nation of Pheanix had financed and supported the revolt in our beloved Empire, the troops of Pheanix were captured on the shores of victory bay in a final push from our valiant forces. When questioned they revealed their true colors as an invasion force, an act of war on my country. Such an attack must be replied to and so I Lord Solar, Emperor of the Branadian Empire declare war on the Nation of Pheanix, any nation, sending supplies of any kind will be turned back by the Imperial navy. The ruler of Pheanix has 24 hours to surrender his forces and nation to the empire or a full scale invasion will take place to remove this aggressor.

Announcer: And with that the Imperial navy has blockaded the nation, a Merchant vessel has reportedly been sunk trying to run the blockade. War seems to have broken out today.

The Imperial Republic of Hataria will Help Dumpsterdam if war starts, and we also order Branada to stop it's Blockade or we will start a Counter-Blockade of Branada.

High Command knew something like this would happen when the invasion fleet sent to help the upstarts in Branada failed in their task. Now they would have to defend the Commonwealth territories from enemy incursion, something that hadn’t happened since ancient times. The Prime Minister had order a conference of the High Brass of the Military to asses the enemy blockade and how to proceed.

“Well gentlemen, seems the enemy came knocking down our door after the failed invasion on Branada” Erick said trying to maintain his cool, as Prime Minister it was his job to lead the country and panicking would not do much to help the situation.

“With all due respect PM, why don’t we deal with the crisis at hand before we blame that error on someone” said one of his Generals banging his fist on the table.

“Your right General so lets begins this meting. What are our capabilities right now?”

“Well Sir, the Invasion Fleet is almost completely out of commissioned and the ships that can be repaired will need at least a month to be back in working order, but with the this blockade it could take long. Currently the Army has activated all of the Divisions, including the National Guard and Reserves as to deter the enemy from making an actual invasion. They are in the process of mobilizing toward strategic point, especially toward the coastlines, the Armored Divisions have been ordered to support the Infantry and Mechanized Divisions in defending the coast. Total mobilization shall be complete in no more than week.”

“And the Air force and Naval Command General?”

“I should answer that PM”, James Trent of Naval Command took the lead this times, “Naval Command is currently concentrating all of our overseas Fleets on an uninhabited Archipelago of the Coast a close ally, to muster a force strong enough to break the blockade”

“The air force has call all the pilots back to their respective bases, and suspended their leaves until further notice. Fighter and bombers are being prepped all over the Commonwealth, including the stealth ones for rapid deployment. We have even dispatch fighter patrols to watch and protect our coast and borders from enemy incursion, with orders to fire at will.” The Marshall of the Air force, Alvin Kurt, said quickly after James finished as to not waste any time.

“That’s good gentlemen, now lets tell the nation” and with that Erick stood up and left the room top let High Command sort out the minor details between them.

Television Message to the Nation of Pheanix and to the World

“My fellow citizens of the Commonwealth, I’m sad to announce what you most of you already know, that the Empire of Branada has begun a blockade of our great and fair nation. We cant let this happen, we will maintain our freedom and break free of this blockade, be it by military or peaceful means. This retaliatory action taken by the Empire of Branada is their means of revenge after we tried to help an ongoing rebellion who wanted to instill democracy in the corrupt ridden Empire, so now we need to show them what a true democratic nation can do.

So I say to you my fellow compatriots and true sons of the Commonwealth to rise in arms and join any military branch you want, as we need more men and women full of courage and valor to fight for our freedom, the freedom our ancestor won by their hardships centuries ago. An to other nations of the world, I say to you come help us to break this blockade imposed on us by the Empire of Branada, be it by peace or force alone.”

After the Prime Minister finished his speech to the people he quickly made his way to the courtyard were a chopper was waiting for him to take him to Grant Airbase, one of the most secure places in the Commonwealth. From there he was going to direct the war and communicate with foreign nation that would be willing to help the Commonwealth.

The Imperial Republic of Hataria will Help Pheanix, in face, The Imperial Navy has been ordered to start a Blockade of Brandia at once and declared that Hataria will end the enemy Blockade any way it can..even Destroy every Brandian Ship blockadeing your shores.

The United Osean States backs Pheanix in its anti-blockade needs and has the 6th T-/E-Boat Division on its way to the blockade. Osea Truitt stresses to Branadia to bring back the blockade, or be forced to lose every ship in the blockade.

Lord Solar: I am hurt and saddened by the acts of other nations to attempt to break our just blockade of the Pheanixian people, the people of Pheanix do not deserve your righteous protection. My next move is to now mobilize the resources of the Empire and it's protecorates to maintain our proper retribution of those who would do us harm.

Unless we are given our proper due from the peoples of Pheanix there will be no peace.

The Osean Division met with the Peanixian ships, and by surprise, the admiral asked "We only see submarines on our sonar, and no division."

The Truitti officals smirks and some laughed as the Lead Admirelo of Divisionary Operations said "Truitt has only thirty surface ships, and they are patrol boats."

After conversing, the Truitti LADO said "I belive we should attack now, if we wait they could bring in re-enforcements and make it mroe complicated."

After saying that the torpedo tubes were being loaded and flooded. Missle tubes were being loaded and guns were being armed. The Auburn-class was armming up its aircraft with anti-shipping missles and dogfighting air-to-air missles.

He asked the Admiral before giving the order to surface "Shall we? Or should we wait?"

The Commonwealth of Azazia demands the withdrawal of the blockade upon the nation of Pheanix as it impedes the right of fair trade of non-involved third party states, including that of the Commonwealth.

We would normally provide a small force to assist in breaking the blockade, however, all our forces are tied up in the conflict in the Aegean Sea. At the resolution of that conflict, if able to rearmed the HMS Sandtiger will become available to break the blockade.

The People of haven14 Condemn the attemped invasion by phenix. This is a perfectly acceptable response from a country that was targeted. The Republic Forces of haven14 will back the blockaid. We feel personally that this situation should be solved between the two nations but with such people backing phenix we will back the blockaid. Aboard the Valiant the Branadian fleets flag ship Grand Admiral Aleski Morrow watched the shores with intrest,

"Sir?", Darin, his XO approched him,

"What is it Commander"

"How long do we wait here? blockading I mean"

"Until we are told to do otherwise Commander"

"But its only a matter of time before they try to break it"


Under the fleet: Admiral Wulfen sat in his command chair, the crew was working away quietly, some tense some relaxed, Wulfen wasn't relaxed, he was tense, he knew that he was the early warning system of the fleet if he blow this, the men on the surface ship would die for no good reason.

"Sir?" the sonar operator called,

"What is it ensign?" he became rigid, the tension was palpable among the crew.

The operator listened and watched his screen,

"I have an unconfirmed number of enemy submarines" he yelled, the scene exploded all at once,

"Signal the fleet, flood all tubes, prepare the fighter squadrons" Wulfen looked around, "What are you slouches staring at, we're going to war!"

On the Valiant:

"Sir, enemy submarine heading 2709!" cried the radio operator

"Signal the fleet, red alert, all ships battle ready, launch fighters and helicoptors" ordered, Morrow, quietly he said to himself "You fools, now we can't stop this"

The fleet armed and launched, ships were full of ready guns and readier men, the sky darkened as dozens of planes swept the water, searching for an enemy.

OoC: Branada scale down your naval forces, their way too big for a nation your size.

We are still waiting for an explanation why one of our merchants was sunk, neither the ship nor the Empire recieved any sort of warning.

Armed Merchant Convoy #546, enroute to Pheanix.

The fourteen armed merchants aproached the Branadanian blockade, their six escorts comprising of an Dixie class escort carrier and consorts guarding the center and the flanks.

Branadanian ships, you will stand aside at once before the ships of the Royal Dumpsterdanian Navy.

If you attempt to stop us we will open fire.

Orbit of Earth.

The first of the ortillery sattelites reached Pheanix and Branada, the latter ones camouflaged as debry or civilian sattelites. The ones near Pheanix would target the blockading fleet, ready to send down a hail of EMP missiles and massive tungsten rods against the enemy fleet while the ones near Branada would target military instalations and harbours.

However, their attack was dependant on the blockade of the Branadanians, if they opened fire, so would the ortillery.

OOC: Hmm, I never moved or anything, and if I was to do anything, I would be firring missles, Sunspots (Sunburn modifications) mostly, at your fleet. I guess would have to enter hearing range, but be aware, my submarines are quieter than an Ohio-class and all communications is done over a light-blink line that performs a morse code-like messaging system, making my fleets utterly quiet.

I will accept this, give some good naval RP.

IC:

The Sonar Lead Operater turnned to the Bridge Capiton and made a few hand gesters. They have seen us. He admedialty began giving off messages by press-stuch to the other rooms, alerting them of the status. He left the Bridge Coordinators to filter through the acknowledgment messages.

"Fire all missles, admediatly." Whispered the Capiton to the Torpedo Room Representative. He nodded and gave the message.

Within thirty secounds, all eight missle tubes were activated with Sunspot Anti-Shipping Missles flying straight torwards the fleet, mainly frontal ships.

"Sir, torpedo in the water!" Yelled a Sonar Operator, making the silence break. "Damnit, Jones! Fire two Yk50 Capitalists now and have the rest of the formation launch counter measures. They will turn once two come right at them." The Operator responded with a nod and began to send the message. "And don't cut the lines." Mentioned the Capiton. He wanted that submarine dead.

All over the fleet a total of thirty two Sunspot Anti-Shipping Missles were sent, with the Auburn-class given an Emergency Jump Tank Order and, probably damaging some munitions, launched from the water's depths into the air and than settled down.

Before it even stopped its violent sway fighters to stop the incomming fighters were already being brought on the deck and by the time the rythm of the boat had began to become a "normal" surface boat, the first fighter was launched vertically right off of the elevator as it decended into the ship.

TyH-58D Fighting Cockatiels were being launched, and by the time the last Sunspot missle was launched, there were twelve in the sky, and more were on their way.

OOC: My nation is easily twice the size of RL U.S. and I didn't make them up I went and bought them, plus the six other nations that are in my protectorate: Not puppets if you're wondering, just my friends, contribute men and resources so it is legal, its not the Nation of Branada, its the Empire of Branada and you do know that water distorts light a lot right? so unless they are really deep, or the flashes are not bright enough to see I'm not sure how it would work, plus the subs were on active sonar not passive, we want detection not secretsy

Two destroyer class ships, Two small ships about the size of a whaling vessel with no obvious armaments, and 3 submarines are in plain sight. Also, an aircraft carrier is maintaining a position about 10 knots away from the blockade, this is Barcadera's flag ship. The expeditionary force is commanded by Comrade Vladimir Valentine. A telegram is wired to all other ships announcing the Naval force's arrival, and reads:

Barcadera is prepared to provide its full support to Branada. If any ships fire upon our fleet or Branadas Naval forces, we are prepared to attack the assailants.

Political analysts agree that the only reason Barcadera is getting involved is simply because of the long lasting trade routes to Branada, which the country depends on for many resources. Dr. Kirov, a leading political scientist claims that Barcadera is flexing its muscles and testing its feet after years of inactivity on the world stage. "Barcadera is deeping its feet and testing how effective years of conscription and hard military policys are effecting their military forces. Expect to see alot of activity from Barcadera if this event manages to escalade into a war; especially if Barcadera has much success in their efforts."

In an address to the public, the Head of State for Barcadera, known only as "The Divine Wind", he managed to leave the stage with many in awe, and many boos (from people outside the country, of course. They would have been shot had they not been at a safe distance) from simply saying "Iam prepared for full scale war. Iam also prepared to use Nuclear and Chemical based weapons, if necessary."

The skys darken, and a raven is seen flying in the horizon after The Divine Wind's speech.

OOC: The only reason that my force seems so powerful is because Barcadera devotes most of its money and resources to the Military, also anyone above the age of 18 is required to go directly into the Military. I wont be one of those people who never loses either. Will see how things unravel.

OOC: Please, don't get me started on subs. For one, active sonars can be detected about 3.5 times farther away than what the person releasing the pings can retrive, meanning although active sonars can mean you can see a lot, it also tells the enemy where you are before you can even see them. Also, as to light, I am assuming that this is deep water (being a naval blockade, not many would be stationed close to shore) so the light problem is of no escense, except I did surface a few escort E-Boats with the carrier after your deployment was confirmed.

As to the whole missle job, the Sunspot is based after a modernized Sunburn missle (see the name simularities?) and has a range just out side of your active sonar's information radius, or where the sonar screen cuts off due to sound weakening. It should be about 200-500 feet away from this radius, about, if you are using American sonars simular to that onboard the Seawolf-class (which is one of the best active sonars in service currently).

As to your detection, why would you deploy without sending that "diplomatic" message?

I could go into detail on how these things are and how your are a little off ASW-wise, but I will go ahead and ignore your deployment if you ignore my submarine deployment also.

This is the Osean 3rd Interdiction Division. We are requesting that your leaders meet with Pheanixian leaders in an effort to settle out any differences your two borders may have. We are offering our own metropolian of Farway City to host this meeting, as it is as neutral as you can get in this time. This is a propossal to stop blood shed before it happens.

In Earth's Orbit

The satellite systems orbiting Earth sent simular messages to Hataria and Dumpsterdam, of which Dumpsterian (OOC: Is that right?) leaders are also requested to attend the meeting as an observer and ask questions pretainning to their reported loss. Truitti leaders will act as moderators for the summit that will hopefully stamp out any problems.

And Hataria be nice, look at his number of posts, he's rather new, so instead of being mean, just politely point out that nukes are only used at another players permission. Let's try to accomodate new people rather than want them not to play at all.

The Pheanixian Government will attend the peace talks; although under no circumstances will we accept the earlier terms for peace put by the Empire of Branada. In short we will not surrender to the Branadian Empire. We only ask that Branada remove their blockading vessels out our territorial waters as our sole condition of attending the peace talks.

The Grand Alliance supports Branada in its blockade against Pheanix.Pheanix must backdown or face the wrath of Branada and The Grand Alliance.

See, know look at this a peace conference sounds like a plan. I would say that phenix owes some kind of reparations for the failed invasion. Other than that lets put our soliders back in the barricks and allow them to live another day.

OOC: Well currently Branada holds the remnants of three Pheanixian divisions as pisioners of war, plus the 1000 or so sailors and pilots we fished out of the water at Victory Bay, be warned the Branadian Government is uninclined to submit to the will of the opposer nations. We merely want to save as many lives as possible. I'm going to set a different thread for the peace talks. Branada and Pheanix peace talks, welcome to a whole new battlefield. With all due respect to Branada,I would like to give some advice.Diplomatic negotiations probably will not work.Asking for peace at any price is like putting a gun to our heads.Appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive.And that aggressor is Pheanix.Pheanix will have their forces ready to attack us while we're still talking peace and diplomatic solution.Appeasement of Pheanix will be like Munich in 1938 all over again.
The Grand Alliance will support negotiations nonetheless.But when negotiating with Pheanix,our negotiation team must hit the nail right on the head.If we are too soft,Pheanix will push us;too hard Pheanix will be cornered and even more dangerous.The Grand Alliance will send 4 carrier battle groups immediatly.

I will immediatly notify the Grand Alliance President James Washburn of the situation and he will announce The Grand's course of action tomorrow.

OCC: meh, as long as the Branadian Goverment dont go as far as asking for our surrender, I think we can find a compromise. Waiting on that thread Branada.

The Osean Council, after hearing these possitive remarks from both governments, will say now that the deployed naval forces, including an added division on its way, will protect both Brandada and Pheanix, as peace is needed. If any nations prove hostility at any of these nations, it is in direct violation for what every nation wishes for, an other day of life.

OOC: Hataria, if you use one nuke, I will launch by whole nuclear supply, that can more than likely cover most of your nation. If that does not work, then the Subliminal Generater and orbital attack platforms will be left with their primary goals in national finalization. Nuclear war is a last effort, and should only be used by the original offending-defending nations unless done appon themselves. Nuclear weapons are extremely powerful, and these days people just fly them around, almost every day at least a tatical nuke is dropped somewhere.
